This was a cute story and the illustrations are nice. The publisher picked a great illustrator to match the story. It was a nice story but my 4 & 6 year olds (girl & boy, respectively) did not come back to read it.

Oh, how I love this book. Timely message to reassure our little ones that God has not let go of us, and He is very good indeed.

This book reminds me of things I should be grateful for, as much as it will remind kids. Gratitude of small things we sometimes take for granted: our grandma's hugs, eating our favorite food, pretty flowers, playdates with our dear friends, and more. Kids will learn to appreciate things in their life.

“God, I know you’re good” is a sweet book about looking around and seeing all that is wonderful in God's creation. Every page shows God's goodness in something common to everyone. It promotes feelings of gratitude and wonder at God’s love and generosity as we look at the world around us. The text is written in an easy to read and understand rhyming format, with a cadence that makes this a good read aloud. The illustrations are large, colourful and full of multi-cultural faces. This would make a nice addition to any child’s library as well as a church one.

God, I Know You’re Good by Bonnie Rickner Jensen is a cute story about how good God is. The illustrations are beautiful. This book would be good for any type of reading time. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. (My review is also on Goodreads.)

Reminiscent of the story Goodnight Moon, I found this book very similar but, in this place, instead of appreciating everything by saying Goodnight to it, our little character goes around the world acknowledging everything from plants to animals to everyday life and showing readers that without God, we wouldn't have had this beautiful world to see and enjoy. From the tiniest ant to the biggest elephant, to the food on our plate and our fingers and toes God made everything wonderful and stunning, especially us in his image. This book was the perfect read for children aged 3-8 years old especially in this current time when the world is looking pretty bleak with the governments, mandates, and the division of the world. We are fighting a battle and it is something that despite we try to shield and hide our children from the effects, sadly they do to feel it in their way and need these positive reinforcements and happiness stories to show them that no matter what, there is kindness and happiness even in the littlest and tiniest things. I also loved the illustrations in this story brought to us by Shane Crampton

This book is a short and lovely look at all the "good things" in the world of a child. Told in rhyming stanzas, this book is sure to make a wonderful bed time story (or just a quick read in the middle of the day for snuggle time). The illustrations are vivid, bright and engaging. The children depicted are from diverse ethnicities and the settings are all delightful and happy. The overall message is that God created a world full of goodness, with many things to delight yourself in. It's a charming and heartwarming read for children ages 3-8.

Such a cute and wise-worded little book.
I shared this with my 4 and 6-year-old and they were in love with the illustrations. The 6-year-old remarked how sweet the rhyming was.
I thought it was such a cute book, the prose is just perfect for little minds, completely understandable for any child, even the youngest. The artwork is stunning and I loved how it incorporated not only scenes but children and animals all over the world with such vibrant colors.
The only thing questioned by my kids was on the ocean page- why is it nighttime and why are the pelicans flying at night?
I highly recommend this book and will look forwards to adding it to my home library
I received an advanced copy to borrow in exchange for a review

With easy to read rhymes and illustrations that are colorful and enticing for children, this book is a perfect gift for the little ones in your life. Touting God’s creation and His goodness on every page, this little reader encourages children to look around them at all that God has made and be thankful for everything. It even mentions the fact that God creates the child and made them for a special purpose. I loved the simplicity of the verses and the illustrations and plan to purchase my own copy for my grandchildren.

God I know You're good to me
Morning, noon and night.
You wrap me in Your tender care.
I am precious in Your sight.
And with good things surrounding me, Your perfect love is what I see.

Starting early in your child's life in the goodness of God is a great gift of comfort and acceptance. It teaches thankfulness and worship. The vivid illustrations and the poetic words will be easy for a child to remember and reflect. Highly recommend.

A special thank you to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

A child’s library should always have at least one rhyme book because children love them and they’re so much fun to read aloud and even to memorise! “God, I know you’re good” would make a nice addition to any child’s library. It promotes feelings of gratitude and wonder at God’s common grace, love and generosity as we look at the world around us,

I liked the colorful illustrations, full of happy excited little faces of all colors of skin.

I would have liked this book even more if Christ and the gift of salvation had been mentioned. When we think about God being good, I think there’s no greater or better gift!
