I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This is the second book of Lisa's that I've read and I loved it as much as the first! A true tale of siblings and the ups and downs of sibling love. Both Rihanna and her sister have different lives after attending different schools which had caused them to grow to be different in many ways, however true sibling love shines through. Loved the part towards the end where Rihanna finally told James what she thought of him! I also fell in love with Hayden and his relationship with his girls. Looking forward to the next one.

When you finish the last sentence of a book and race to find a pen to create your review then it has to be the sign of a great book. I loved everything about it....pure heart was at the forefront of this story to create a warm and inviting atmosphere to welcome you in. But what a setting we had in Leyholme, which was a gorgeous pocket of the world, with the Highwayman’s Drop in pride of place, front and centre. But what really stood out to me was the family and relationships running through the narrative. They really jumped off the pages to create something exceptionally special for the reader.

Character creation is one of my favourite elements to any story and the cast of characters gracing the pages of this book were loveable from the word go. Brooke and Rhianna had a rocky path through the pages to say the least but it was a pure joy to witness their relationship take on the trials and tribulations of life and love and come out on top with a new unbreakable bond. But my favourite character by far would have to be Janey.....her penchant for life made me giggle on so many occasions and I was rooting for that sort after happy ending.

The Sister Pact is pure joy from start to finish with relationships and love leading the way through a charming narrative. I was hooked from the opening moments and found I didn't want the pages to come to an end.

I am always eager to read books about family and sisterhood, so when I stumbled upon The Sister Pact by Lisa Swift, I immediately knew that I would love reading it. AND GUESS WHAT, I was not wrong. This book was filled with family drama (loads and loads of it) and laughter! <3 This is the third book in a series, but I had no problem reading it as a standalone.

I absolutely loved the characters in The Sister Pact. Brooke and Rhianna were complete opposites as sisters, and I loved how the author showed their contrasting natures to add more depth to the storyline. It was interesting to see how both of them teamed up to save their family pub. The message of the story was beautiful - it showed the importance of family, and how you can always count on your family members during troubling times. It was an entertaining yet heart-warming story through and through.

Many thanks to the publisher for the e-ARC!

This is the story of Brooke, the landlady at The Highwaymans Drop pub which she runs alongside her mum Janey.

Brooks older sister Rhianna has recently moved back into the pub after discovering her husbands affairs.

Are the sisters able to to put aside their differences to save the pub from being franchised?

A great family drama that will capture your heart from the very beginning.

This is the first book I have read by this author and Lisa certainly doesn't disappoint. Set in a Yorkshire village which immediately gives a warm feeling to the book.

Heartwarming story, and if it features sisters, that’s always a plus for me. Brooke has been running the family pub with her mother since her Dad passed away. As things have changed in the village over time, The Highwayman’s Drop has been losing business. Rihanna, Brooke’s sister, turns up on the doorstep with her two kids in tow after leaving her cheating husband. Can the sisters work together after years of rivalry, to revive the bar and their relationship? Add in Brooke’s love interest and this is a formula for a very entertaining read. I recommend it for lovers of women fiction. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

4.5 Stars

Fun, feel-good and fabulous, Lisa Swift’s latest novel The Sister Pact gives the TV classic Gilmore Girls a run for its money with a terrific blend of side-splitting humour, family drama and poignant romance.

Landlady Brooke Padgett has got her hands full running The Highwayman’s Drop in the beautiful village of Leyholme. Allergic to commitment and completely consumed by the pub she runs, Brooke has got neither the time, the energy nor the inclination for romance. Nobody is going to dissuade Brooke from her resolve to stay stubbornly single – but could drop dead gorgeous Hayden end up changing her mind?

Older sister Rhianna never imagined that she would find herself living above The Highwayman’s Drop again. But when she discovered that her perfect life was nothing more than a lie, she found herself with no other option but to head back to Leyholme and the pub with her children in tow. However, it quickly becomes apparent that living in such close quarters with her sister is not going to be easy…

Meanwhile, their mum Janey decides to dip her toe back in the dating pool. A lot has changed since Janey was last on the look out for her Mr Right and she is going to need her girls to help her out in this age of swiping right and dating apps. Yet, Brooke and Rhianna have got more than romantic disasters and house-sharing dilemmas to contend with when a chain begins to circle round the pub and a secret from the past comes to shocking life that could end up destroying their newfound closeness forever.

Is all hope lost for Brooke and Rhianna? Has the last pint been served at The Highwayman’s Drop? Will Janey manage to find love again? Or will they all have to shut up shop for good and go their separate ways?

Lisa Swift’s The Sister Pact is a hilarious and heartfelt tale that tickles the funny bones and will keep readers glued to its pages. A brilliantly written comedy about the joys and frustrations of family life, the lengths we go to for the ones we love and life’s unexpected surprises, The Sister Pact has got it all: fabulous characters, witty dialogue, emotional drama and terrific romance.

Hard to put down and impossible not to fall in love with, Lisa Swift’s latest must-read The Sister Pact is sure to delight.

Thirty-year-old Brooke Padgett is the landlady of The Highwayman’s Drop in the beautiful Yorkshire village of Leyholme. Commitment-averse and obsessed with work, she isn't looking for anything serious – and she certainly isn't interested in the pub's new barman, gorgeous single dad Hayden. Or is she?

If you're in the mood for a cute, easy read with a little bit of romance thrown in for good measure, this book is for you. I enjoyed this book for the most part as it mainly explored the relationship between two sisters as they navigated other issues and problems within their own lives. However, I felt the mom's chapters were a bit out of place and wouldn't have missed them if they were skipped.

The story was set at the family pub that Brooke and her mom, Janey, managed until one night Brooke's estranged sister, Rhianna, stormed back into their lives with her two children. Rhianna had immersed herself into the lifestyle of the rich for many years - hardly ever seeing her family - until the night she arrived at the pub due to martial issues. I The sisters fought and made up and fought again over a slew of issues and I think the author did a good job of showcasing some of the family dynamics that occur between sisters and also between mother/child. Overall, it was a quick read and had a feel good ending. I would recommend if you're in the mood for a light read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I am a bit late on this one so it's been published already, so check it out!

Thanks to Netgalley, the publishers and author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I often read synopses of books where they are described as laugh out loud romantic comedies. This one really is one of those. There’s one particular sentence involving butternut squash that particularly enjoyed.

But this book is more than a romantic comedy. It’s about what we hold dear and all forms of love. It’s sweet without being trite. I thoroughly enjoyed it at a time when it was a great reminder to appreciate the important things in life.

I didn’t particularly understand all the character’s hang ups but that didn’t matter in the end.

Very enjoyable and fun.
