When I saw Sarah Andersen’s newest collection of comics on Netgalley, I had to get it. There is just some entirely beautiful and comforting about the style and the content inside. Oddball did not disappoint.

There were so many comics in here that had me laughing. It didn’t matter if it was the cat one that had me thinking “wow that is way too accurate” or if it was the struggles of millennials that also nailed everything on the head.

Sarah Andersen crafts short comics that are short and able to make someone feel like they aren’t alone in this wild world. Each comic is a breath of fresh air that really has the ability to lift up spirits.

Similar to her prior books, this is predominantly about her awkward introverted-ness and love of cats (and frogs!) Fans will recognize her signature art style. I didn't get some of the blurry last panels, I can relate to some more than others, and but I enjoyed reading this super-short book.

Oddball continues to be a great addition to the collection of Sarah Anderson comics. The humor is so darn relatable, especially for millennials, and I can't help thinking that these comics kind of act as a time capsule for my generation. A quick and enjoyable read as always.

A graphic novel that fully embraces being different.
Yes, the main character has issues but manages to find that person and even a group of people who are just as strange in their own way.
I love these types of graphic novels. I manage to find d a little bit of myself in them.
In "Oddball" the desire to step out of the box to write fabrication instead of leading shows and characters the way their creators made them is one that not only made me laugh but identify with.
As an author of fan fiction, I can appreciate how little it matters if a "ship" is canon or just only mind. And no matter if the show goes on for years or is canceled, my "ship" will live. Sarah Andersen gets that!
Thanks to @netgalley and Andrew McNeil Publishing for the chance to read this, I exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion

I follow Sarah Andersen on Instagram and just love how relatable and funny her comics are, they never fail to make me laugh. She's just so good at capturing the zeitgeist of this generation and making you feel seen, it's amazing. The author discusses such good topics in an easy way and brings to paper, what I often think but never really realized and I love this book for that.

Thank you to NetGalley, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and Sarah Andersen for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love Sarah Andersen's simple art style and short 2-4 panel comics. As per the description, this collection focuses on the struggles of millennials, such as procrastination, creativity, reflecting on our past/nostalgia, nerdiness, and of course, cats. There are a couple pandemic funnies as well.

While I love the cat comics more then the rest, as the featured cat is black and I have a few black cats of my own, thus a bias, there is a special place in my heart for the Medusa/Gorgon shorts. Those made me laugh loud enough my family was concerned...

A great collection of short comics with fun topics, many of which bring a laugh. Great for millennials or even current teens who might relate to some of the circumstances. A fun collection of cute illustrations!

I have been a fan of Sarah's Scribbles for a number of years so I was very excited to find her newest collection on NetGalley. Oddball does not disappoint - lots of relatable and fun comics. Full of her signature style and witty humor I really think there's something for everyone in this book. If you're a fan of hers it's a must have!

Sarah Andersen's comic's are fun and relatable, as always. While I enjoy the comic's they are getting a bit repetitive. Each of these comic's could have just as easily fit in one of the three earlier books.

Review copy provided by the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

As they say in Tiktok: "I've never had an original thought in my life".

A funny and relatable book that captures the last two years of millennial online life.

This was just lovely. I am a big fan of Sarah Andersen and this did not disappoint. So many of her comics are relatable and incredibly funny. These books are ones that you can flip through when you're having a bad day and instantly just feel better. I will be buying a hard copy once it's available and it will join her other works on my shelf.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

Sarah Anderson's comic strips and Instagram account is one of my favourite accounts to follow. I have read all the previous books in Sarah's scribbles collection and I was so excited to read it when I saw the ARC. The forth book in the series 'Oddball' is collection of some of her latest arts and additional contain. It includes humorous and very relatable puns, jokes and everyday moments that we feel, see and share with each other. Sarah captures our emotions and feelings and pour them into this book. This collection involves her art on the subjects on introverts, extroverts, avid readers, quarantine, adorable cat, and some more. I personally and probably relate to them on every level. I have enjoyed this thoroughly and I look forward to more!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for eARC.

I always enjoy this series. It helps me take a break and relax with silly images for a short amount of time. Even when some of the scribbles speak to me at a spiritual level, I don't have to overanalyze or overthink anything, just laugh and enjoy it.

I love Sarah Andersen’s comics, the drawing style (only a few lines to tell a story), the witty insights into the lives of younger generations (I’m gen-x), and her ability to put herself out there, insecurities and oddities alike.

Oddball is the fourth book in Sarah’s Scribbles series and a solid continuation of her work. I laughed out loud and was moved in equal measures (Medusa with a blind cat will stay with me a long time). I recognised myself in many strips (introvert author here), but in a good way, like sharing a secret with a likeminded soul.

If you’re new to her work, this is as good a place to start as any, but why would you rob yourself the pleasure of reading it all. And the fans will love this like all her work.

I received a free copy from NetGalley in exchange of an honest review (but will buy the book, because I absolutely need it).

Sarah Anderson never disappoints. I always find her comic book style layouts so easy to flick through and her humour is spot on.
As with her other Sarah Scribbles books, Oddball is funny, current and relatable. As a fellow oddball introvert, i adore Sarahs work and would recommend this to anyone looking for a lighthearted laugh.

I’ve been following Sarah’s Scribbles since it got released on Facebook many years ago. Her comics are adorable, witty, laugh-out-loud funny, and oh so very relatable. “Oddball” is Sarah Andersen’s fourth book in this series, and it is an entertaining collection of comics addressing issues such as navigating adulthood, procrastination, life as an artist and an introvert, and an obsession with cats and frogs.

Her drawings are adorable as always and some of the comics are really funny and relatable. I’ve always enjoyed her comics and this was no different. This book is a quick read and great for a pick-me-up on a bad day. It makes you feel that you’re not so alone in your struggles, so don’t be too hard on yourself!

Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the e-ARC.

Cats, anxiety, and finding the right kind of weirdos to befriend in your life... Sarah's Scribbles are highly relatable for this X-ennial and I will not pass up the opportunity to caress this book in person once it is released (I hope it's fuzzy like the previous ones in the series!). For now, this e-ARC will have to do, though. I think there are some repeats in here from the 2020 calendar, but there are a lot of new comics and I really enjoyed the new? Medusa character.

I received this book free from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Once again, Sarah Andersen delivers another collection of signature comics that many readers will relate to, especially with regards to what's been going on the past two years. I always look forward to when another Sarah's Scribbles collection is released because it means that 1) Andersen is still creating and 2) there's more content where I find myself. Sometimes sad, sometimes uplifting, readers will still delight in Andersen's comic collections.

Always recommended!

I love Sarah Andersen's comics - they highlight the complexities and nuances of life as an introvert with a great amount of humour. Oddball is a short and sweet comic that is definitely targeted for cat-loving introverts (which is me to a tee).

Many thanks to Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for a copy of this comic. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
