I don't think there has ever been a Sarah Anderson book that I didn't like. Oddball was no exception. Once again, the book is filled with funny, relatable comics. Her comics always cheer me up and I'm proud to have all of Sarah's collections standing on my bookshelf!

I loved this new volume: it's funny, light and perfect for those who loved the previous ones - in fact, maybe that's where I saw myself the most.

There's a kind of humor between its pages that probably only millennials will really understand about anxieties, expectations and pressures from those around us and life itself.

And not only that: it 's perfect for those who love cats and dogs, for those who are introverted and have difficulty in relating or have extroverted friends who drag them out of the house. Among its pages we find drawings about Gen Z, fan fiction, procrastination - all things that make me look like Sarah and many situations in which millennials could very easily find themselves and say "me too".

Nobody understands you as much as someone who has the same oddities as you.

This is a compilation of Sarah's Scribnle online comic. It's the same relatable if exaggerated humor in an ordinary life. If you already like what is online, it's all her.

"Oddball" is a hilarious and relatable book of comics. I loved how relevant this book was, it touched on recent topics such as covid-19, and it takes a humorous approach to all of it. It's a such a relatable book especially if you're introverted. I found myself saying "omg me!" to pretty much every single page. The artwork is fantastic and Andersen does such a great job telling a full story in such a small vignette format. I would highly recommend this book to everyone it's a quick, easy read and it's so light-hearted.

Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this e-arc of "Oddball" in exchange for an honest review.

This was such an adorable and relatable book! Sarah Andersen never disappoints. The comics were short yet packed a punch and were able to elicit lots of laughter and smile. As usual, I love the illustration style and can never get enough of these comics :)

Sarah's scribbles are sort of the mem equivalent of comfort food, I think? Or maybe it's the Millennial equivalent of a long-running newspaper strip that has all of its tropes and jokes figured out but has not yet slipped into senescence and self-parody. What I'm saying is you know what you get with these comics at this point (introverts! floofs! nerd humor!) and that's ok because (as of now) they are good and funny and comforting.

this was so adorable omg!😂♥️

i have a habit of picking up comics and graphic novels during my exams to keep the urge of reading all the books on my tbr at once at bay AND ODDBALL WAS AN INSTANT STRESS BUSTER! <3

Sarah Andersen literally brought a smile to my face at every panel which were so relatable and cute! cats, dogs, introvert struggles, obsessing over fictional characters, procrastinating, being a millenial — I loved all the panels so much!

definitely gonna check out other books by Sarah :)

I’m a fan of how Andersen captures fandom behavior. She’s also very good at showing cats (which are from hell) and introverted behavior (and yet friendship). I like the comfort I get from some of these strips, the reminder that one’s not alone in feeling this way.

At just over 100 pages, this was a quick read, but it contains a lot of favorite comics, as well as 20 new ones (and a page of stickers), and so many strips I wanted to share with other people.

Sarah Anderson strikes again with another hilarious collection of comics about everyday observations and reflections. Every oddball will relate. I’m always impressed by Anderson’s ability to squeeze a full story or encompass distinct feelings within four tiny panels. Her comics are fun to read and fun to share.

Oddball is out in time for the holidays and it would make a great book to have out on the coffee to entertain guests. I will definite have it in mind as a holiday gift recommendation.

I have posted a review to my Goodreads account.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Okay so, full disclosure, I am definitely the target demographic for this book. Second full disclosure, I have loved Sarah’s Scribbles for years. Third full disclosure, I sometimes worry that Sarah can see inside my brain because so many of her comics are spot on to my life experience. If you are like me, an introverted millennial weirdo who prefers fictional characters to people, loves cute animals, and still isn’t sure about this whole adulting thing, then you’ll love this collection. Huge thanks to the publishers for letting me read it early. 😁

Sarah Andersen does it again! I absolutely adore the Sarah's Scribbles series and Oddball was a perfect addition. Andersen never fails to make me laugh out loud with her quirky and relatable humor. My favorite comic was the one about the future millennial grandma freaking out over the "CHONKER" cat. So good!

Really cute but I don't think this is her best work. I loved Fangs a lot more, but I understand they are completely different genres and they have different tones. Liked it!

I was absolutely excited to read this cute sweet book, and I'm happy to say I loved it. The illustrations are clever, expressive, thought-provoking, and sometimes hilarious. Ranging from heavy themes like being odd/different or the trials of an artist to light and breezy ones, like the truths of a cat person, or motivations of a writer/author, they were all very relatable. I love this newest collection of her scribbles and I look forward to reading her next creation. Thank you, NetGalley for this copy.

My kids will like this. Oddball hits all the buttons for a kids’ book-funny and touches on all of the challenges of being a kid and feeling…well…odd.

I think this bind-up has a lot of fun and relatable comics in a bitesize format. the art style is unique, very recognizable and what I think appealing to a wide audience. It seems to me this collection will be well liked and received by many.
My only "grievance" with this book is that the theme sometimes got a little lost on me and I wasn't able to see the connection the different comics had with each other.

But honestly I would definitely recommend it to all fans of the webcomics as it is a very nice edition. Or to people who may yet have to discover this artist, this is a very nice introduction to their work.

Thanks NetGalley and the Publisher for the digital copy in exchange for an honest rewiew.

So much fun just like her other books!

I absolutely love the author's sense of humor and also the way she deals with some pretty heavy subjects in such an easy and light way.

Sarah's Scribbles always brightens my day -or night. Everything she draws is so relatable that it makes you suspect either the artist is spying on your life to draw inspiration, or you *are* the artist, but you don't know anything about it because you have a multiple personality disorder that you're not aware of. Joke aside, Andersen is awesome at what she does, and I hope she'll keep it up for long years, giving us the chance to read more of her books and laugh wholeheartedly.

In this, the fourth Sarah’s Scribbles collection, the author explores the joys of cats, the challenges of making things, and how monsters are people too. (And like us, at times their awkwardness gets the best of them: that’s part of why cryptids are so elusive.) Plus, there’s the part of getting older where you don’t care so much what other people think of you. When you’re honest about being an oddball, life really is more fun. Readers will also be reminded of the wages of procrastination, but you know what, never mind: worry about that later.

Sarah hits it out of the park with another collection of hilarious strips. She has perfected the gag comic. Themes around social anxiety, fitting in and the strangeness of being human are explored with a deft touch. Very much the pick me up that you want it to be.
