The book opens with a descriptive scene about a man on the brink of death. We then follow Ethan, a private investigator, Ali, a sex guru/therapist, and an unknown character as they circle around a string of murders and their own private lives.

For a book pitched as a thriller/mystery, it lacked in that department. Facts were just being thrown everywhere and suddenly we’re talking about something else. It felt that way that when it came to the big reveal, I didn’t really care for the case that much because I forgot we even had a case in the first place. It didn’t really feel like we’re following these cases but rather the private lives of the main characters. I wouldn’t really mind this but for some reason, even with such a crazy backstory for the main characters, they still fell flat. The author could have explored these characters more by describing how they feel, what they’re going through, and their motivations and what not. I connected more with Ethan’s assistant than I did with him or Ali.

I’m not sure if it was the story or the narrator but I had a bit of difficulty with connecting with the book and it was a bit hard to follow. He did a great job with Ethan and the unknown character but it definitely would’ve been more immersive with a female narrator doing Ali’s POV.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read especially if you’re into romance but want a but of a thrill!

This story was ok, not super captivating but decent. However, the narrator was so bad that it made it difficult to get through to the end. If you try this book (which I don’t think is a good representation of the author, as I’ve enjoyed other books by her), definitely read and don’t listen!

Between the alternating viewpoints and the characters having similar opinions, it can be confusing who's talking. I like the narrator but, I wish they cast two narrators instead to help with this issue. There are so many characters, Ethan, Edward, David, etc. There's no character development, Harry is stupidly naive for a PI/ex FBI, and Ali is always bored and working. There are gross monologues about elderly people and how they should just die. I don't even know who I'm supposed to root for. The ending is weird. Why do Ali and Ethan get that ending while harry's is just incomplete? The sex scenes were too descriptive for my taste. There are references to recent events that pull me out of the story. For example, the conservatives screaming cancel culture about a private company making the choice to end the publishing of 6 outdated books has nothing to do with a grown man eating green eggs and ham at IHOP.

Thank you to NetGalley and OrangeSky Audio for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
3.5 stars to this one. I picked this audiobook to review as I've been seeing the author's name Britney King on my book lists. Recently having read Savage Row, I was intrigued to hear more. Personally I could do without the eroticism, so that dinged my score, but my bad for not really reading the summary.
This was a twisty psychological thriller about a female serial killer who uses her career as a venue for murder and the investigator hired to find a murderer, which leads him to a string of murders.
Evil and satisfying for those who enjoy seeing watching a cat and mouse play it out I would recommend this suspenseful book to those readers of crime, thrillers and suspense.. just be prepared for some erotic sex scenes. Creative and gripping this was a quick and juicy read!

I want to thank Netgalley and Orange sky audio for this advanced copy of Kill Me Tomorrow.

I have read and enjoyed many of Britney Kings books but not this one as much.
I loved the story line.
The beginning started out with a shocking punch that grabbed me from the start and kept me in the book to find out what happened.
What I didn't like was the detailed description of the sex. I felt it fell short of reading porn which personally I don't like. However I could deal with reading that but I was listening to it by this Narrator who I felt was overdramatic all throughout his reading. He was awful. I strongly suggest if you decide to read this book don't get the audio version.
The story line was good, but narrator not so good.

"Kill me tomorrow" is a thriller told from three POVs, which helps keep the mystery alive until the very end when we finally get the answers we were looking for.

For me, the story started quite strong, but then I was a bit disappointed by it. It's a short and entertaining book. But that's it. The plot had a lot more potential but I feel like we spent too much time on subplots that were not as important, rather than focusing on the main plot.
Also, the character of Ethan is quite frustrating and a bit too hard to believe. Some things make no sense.

The narrator did a great job. It was very easy to follow the story thanks to his narration.

Thanks OrangeSky Audio and Netgalley for the ALC of the audiobook of Kill Me Tomorrow by Britney King (Narrated by Patrick Zeller).
The story was sexy and superficially suspenseful. The characters were not diverse. It was just an ordinary audiobook to pass the time but not memorable.

My first Britney King read.
The plot was alright, though the climax and the eventual reveal of the antagonist shocked me. I mean, a part of me should’ve expected that, but maybe not. I wasn’t particularly pulled in by the plot and I just didn’t care for the characters much, but the writing was very good and the main important parts of the book were great too. The hook at the beginning was fantastic and despite how drawn out the first chapter was, it really portrayed an agonizing and slow death and then you HAD to continue reading to know what happened.
There were a couple other scenes done just well too and, again, the climax was great. Didn’t like the ending, but the rest was good enough to have the book be a decent page-turner read.
Narrator did a phenomenal job!

I listened to the audio of this story and the narrator, Patrick Zeller represented it well. The author, Britney King is not new to me I've read her books before and enjoyed them so I wanted to read this.
Men are dying by suicide but the families aren't agreeing the victim would ever do that. No note is ever found. When Ethan Lane, former FBI, now a private investigator is hired to investigate the death of a wealthy bachelor he discovers there are more victims.
He needs to solve this case, his practice is barely hanging on, the divorce is still raw and visitation with his children plus counseling is, even more, he struggles with.
Ethan goes undercover on a popular dating site, the one connection to the dead men. Ethan wants to try and lure the killer out. What if he does too good of a job?
Ali is a sex therapist who has a thirst for men herself even if she already has a man. When she finds “Ethan” on the site she's not sure she should bother with him. Everyone lies on the profile and she knows after meeting him, something isn't right with him. However, he persists and they find they enjoy one another even if she may be a killer and he isn't an attorney.
The story is told from both Ali's and Ethans' perspectives. I listened to it in one day off and on with life's everyday interferences. I found Ethan's character to be flawed more than an ex-FBI agent should be, in my opinion. I was surprised by the ending.
I'm wondering if this could be book one and book two would continue the story.

First of all, the title doesn't seem to fit this novel and may actually be doing it a disservice. That aside, I'm surprised by how much I like this book. For the first 30% or so I thought the main characters were too cliche and considered the pacing more on the slow side. I actually said if things didn't pick up soon I'd be adding this book to my did-not-finish list. I guess the book gods heard me because the more I read the more I found myself enjoying this book. It got to a point where I'd frequently admit it was getting late but still found I just couldn't put this down. By the time it got to the climax I was really eager to find out how Ethan's confrontation with Ali would go. I was so engrossed in the writing that I didn't actually put thought into possible outcomes and I was absolutely floored by the events as a result. I actually went over the chapter twice, it's like my mind didn't comprehend around what I read the first time around. This is more of a 4.5 but the fact I somehow missed a key detail made me so happy I'm rounding to 5.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me a free audio copy of the book for my honest review.

I have no words to describe this book but TRASH. This book was trash. There wasn't a single thing I liked about this book and I thought about not finishing it every single chapter. No character was interesting, none of the plot points and relationships worked, the title made no sense... I really could go on.

Ethan Lane is a retired FBI Profiler. After a home invasion is the cause of a family tragedy. Ethan now runs his own private detective agency. Ethan is hired by a young woman to investigate her fathers death who was a wealthy bachelor. Ethan doesn’t expect to find himself involved in a string of murders, all of them men seeming to use the same popular dating app. With help from his friend in the police still and his female assistant he sets out to investigate by putting himself on the dating app hoping he may find a suspect.
Ali is a sex therapist/guru famous for her work helping others find pleasure.
Ethan on his undercover operation finds himself on a date with Ali. Not only does Ali become his number one suspect but she also becomes the woman of his dreams.
This was a good little listen, it didn’t grab me how I’d of liked but still a good story line a couple of moments of ‘is she ? isn’t she ? That I’m sure most will enjoy.

My thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for allowing me to review this audio.

Ethan is a former cop recovering from being the victim of a robbery which resulted in the murder of his daughter.. Now he is an investigation of the murder of a man which is connected to Ali, a very active sex therapist who he becomes involved with while she is married to a paraplegic. More murders happen. Is Ali a serial killer? The end might surprise you.

Enjoyable book and narrator. Only issue I had was too much info given during the robbery and murder of the child. I think that could have been shorten.. Not bad though and do recommend

This is the worst book I've read in a long while. Also, one of the worst narrators I've ever listened to.

The first 50% of the book nothing happens, and then everything happens in 2 pages. Like the writer herself had no idea what she will do, and then just needed to finish the book quickly and just took the first person that came to mind. The writing was bad, the characters were horrible, the plot was lazy and sloppy and there wasn't a single thing I liked. I don't know, there were just tooooooo many things about this book that were bad that I don't even know where to start and where to end this review.

Favorite Quotes:

Ali is a fun instrument to play, the kind you’re forever trying to tune…

Trust me, no one wants a woman like that. Sarah Shepard is the stench of reality in your nose: the hard facts, the lessons you didn’t want to learn. It takes a lot of mental energy trying to figure out what to do with her.

I didn’t want to go the hit-and-run route. I really like my car.

We reach my bedroom, which is lit up by dozens of candles. I can’t know for sure whether it’s romantic or whether a human sacrifice is about to take place.

My Review:

This was an absorbing and cunningly paced page-turner that I found difficult to put down. Oh, that Britney King, she has clever craft and mad skills. The storylines bent in on themselves and not once but several times, all while keeping me on my toes and slapping me around when I was so smug in my theories. Honestly, I should know better by now. This wily scribbler brings a multi-course meal with a heady mix of side orders including witty snark, flinch-w

Kill Me Tomorrow is a story of an ex investigator who is traumatized by the death of his daughter. He's now divorced and he sometimes sees his other two children. He doesn't feel like he's cut out to be a father but he loves his children dearly. When he hears about the unusual murders - all somehow connected to an elite dating app, he returns for one more investigation.
That's how he meets Ali, the sex therapist/guru. The fact that she's only interested in one night stands and more importantly, the fact that she might be a serial killer doesn't put him off the idea that he wants to have sex with her.

This is a steamy, kinky thriller with dynamic, psychopathic characters. Their actions and morale is questionable and that definitely does not stop them from having sex, lots of unhinged sex.

The story is told by three different points of view: Ethan, Ali and an unknown character (who is revealed in the end).

I consumed this book in an audiobook format and I really liked the narrator. Nevertheless, I think that the story would have been better if there were two narrators - male and female, instead of just one, male narrator. If you listen to audiobooks sped up 2x or even 2.5x times the narrator may sound breathy and his voice comes out rather whispery, so you won't understand him properly.

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲: 3/5
What I disliked about the story was the ending.
𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫: 4.8/5
The narrator was excellent!

In Kill Me Tomorrow, Ethan is hired to investigate the death of a wealthy bachelor. During his investigation he stumbles onto a string of murders. The victims all have similar profiles on a dating app so he copies it and goes undercover. He meets the perfect woman, too bad she might be a serial killer.

I really loved the narrator of this audiobook. He did such a good job with the voices and actually made it sound like he was in the action instead of a dry narration. The story itself was interesting but a little confusing in the end. Ethan was a strange character because he fully believes she could be a killer but doesn't seem to care. After his past, I would have thought he would always err on the side of caution. So it sort of suspended my disbelief in points. I did find Ali an extremely intriguing character to watch. I kind of want to know what happens after the end. All in all, a good quick thriller to listen through that has a bit more sex than others. For me, this was a 3.5/5.

If you like serial killers with an agenda, a man hopeless at dating, and tragic backstories, this is the one for you.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for this awesome audio book.

King is a favorite of mine! I have read her books for awhile now but I've never listened to an audio book.
So I jumped all over this. And I'm excited to say it didn't disappoint!
This was such a good thriller! It kept me guessing and wondering throughout the entire book!
This book sucked me in at page one and kept me turning the pages. This psychological thriller was full of mystery, suspense, and twists and turns. A total unexpected shocker!

Thank you again for this audio book

I listened to this audio book and was thrilled. The narrator was so good. Thanks Netgalley and OrangeSky Audio.

Ethan Lane is a former FBI agent who hides a different sad story. He's dying. And then the story begins. And in the end, we know what’s going on. And maybe he's not dead.

He works as a private investigator and investigates the death of a wealthy bachelor. Or are there more? He met Ali, a woman who works as a sex therapist-slash-guru, known for helping others find pleasure. So he is tempted and Ali knows exactly what to do.

It’s interesting how things develop. It can't get through without turns. But it excited and sexy at the same time.
