This book by new to me author Dahlia Rose had all the earmarks of a Hallmark story. It was sweet, clean, scenic, had the obviously wrong boyfriend, that misunderstood moment that causes one of the love interests to run away, characters find themselves and what they really want out of life and so on. Classic Hallmark that all the fans love.
The descriptions of scenery, northern lights, the whale, etc. were beautiful and make the reader intrigued about going to Alaska some day. It was a lovely read and a great way to spend my Saturday while I wait for Christmas to come on the calendar and not just in my book.

Firstly wow, what did I just read.

Mistletoe in Juneau follows Danni a social media influencer who like any influencer is chasing endorsements and recognition. Danni is feeling overwhelmed with her workload and her manager boyfriend Austin who keeps overwhelming her.. Feeling burnt out, she decides to go visit her friend and husband in Alaska while they get ready for the birth of their child. There she meets a trooper called Declan Mathias. It was so refreshing following two adorable humans discovering Alaska and falling for each other. I love it!

Danni is an up and coming social influencer trying to find her place in the world. Declan is an Alaska State Trooper trying to recover from his place in the world. Throw in the beautiful state of Alaska, food friends and some Christmas magic and you have a story that will make even the most jaded person believe in love.

I love these type of romantic books especially when each protagonist has something to work through and find what they are missing in each other.
Premise

Danni’s a social media influencer who’s way out of her element. She sort-of broke up with her boyfriend-slash-manager, and she escaped her fast-paced life in New York to spend Christmas with an old friend in Juneau, Alaska. Danni takes in the beauty of the scenery and the warmth of the community…and she’s drawn to the local sheriff.

Before Declan was the sheriff, he was in the Army. An IED explosion cost him his leg…and his fiancée, who couldn’t deal with the injury. He knows Danni’s a city girl, while he loves the Alaskan wilderness. Could two very different people find what their hearts are looking for?
I loved the chemistry between Danni and Declan and how they come from two very different worlds but are meant to be together. This was a favorite read and I look forward to the authors next book. Beautiful scenery as well.

Dahlia Rose brings us Danni St. Peters who has an up and coming influencer with her video channel Danni On the Run. Lately it seems that her life was being overwhelmed by getting endorsements and appearing on shows to promote herself all led by her manager/boyfriend Austin Hammond. Her boyfriend has her life planned out one way without listening to what she wants for her brand while feeling her family is disappointed in her life choices. Feeling burned out, she decides to go visit her friend and husband in Alaska while they get ready for the birth of their child. Her ride from the airport is Trooper Declan Mathias.

We follow Danni and Declan as they get to know each other as she discovers the beauty of Alaska. Danni rediscovers the joy of simple living and take some time for herself to see what direction where she wanted her video channel to go upon her return home. Will Danni and Declan be able to get past their own insecurities and doubts long enough to try?

I accidentally gorgeous setting! Just what I needed to get me out of a reading slump. So romantic!

I am a HUGE Hallmark Publishing fan, as well as a Hallmark Network fan. I could not get enough of this sweet story! I can just see this becoming a movie this holiday season. The classic format of girl with fast paced life (Danni) meets laid back/small town guy (Declan). Will Danni fall in love with a new life/love? I think we all know the answer, but these stories are just SO cute I pretend to be surprised every time! Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Mistletoe in Juneau is a Christmas romance novel set in Juneau, Alaska. Danni needs a break from her fast-paced lifestyle and social media business, so she decides to visit her best friend in Juneau. She meets the local sheriff, Declan, and immediately finds herself drawn to him. But with a life in New York, will life and Juneau and a potential love interest be enough to make her stay past Christmas?

My favorite Hallmark Christmas movies are Christmas Under Wraps and The Northern Lights of Christmas, so Mistletoe in Juneau went right to the top of my tbr list as soon as my request was approved. This book is absolutely perfect for the Christmas season. Alaska location complete with northern lights? Check. Swoony romance? Check. Christmas themes throughout the book? I'm sold. I enjoyed reading the love story between Danni and Declan; they are great characters and both had such big hearts. Declan's past is heartbreaking, and his story is handled with great care. And again, I could not get enough of the beautiful Juneau setting. Mistletoe in Juneau is a must read for fans of Hallmark movies and Christmas romance novels.

A sweet wintertime romance in a beautiful setting! Danni is living her perfect life in New York City...er, maybe...when she decides to take a sabbatical and visit her best friend far away in Alaska. Declan is an wounded veteran who is still dealing with scars from the past, making a new life in rural Alaska. They're complete opposites, but you know what they say! This book is full of culture, tradition, stunning settings, and a colorful cast of characters...and I can't wait to see them make it into a movie!

I love Christmas and I love the state of Alaska. Mistletoe in Juneau was a book that surpassed my expectations. The story had warm and realistic characters. My sister lived in Alaska for several years and through my five visits and thousands of miles exploring Alaska, I came to love the state and its strong people. The author clearly did her research and treated the Inuit people with respect. I was pleased to see a main character who was a wounded warrior, once again the author did her research and treated the character with the understanding and honor he deserved. This was a book I hated to say goodbye to, the plot line was interesting and characters were great. I am hoping for a sequel!

What an absolutely refreshing Christmas romance! Dannie is an online influencer who is slowly burning out with her fast paced life. She decides to spend a few weeks in Alaska with her best friend, Amy, and her family. While there she meets Declan. He is an injured veteran, only interested in keeping a low profile and leading a quiet life. When the two meets sparks fly, but Danni and Declan's lives are so different and far apart. Getting together may be more of a hurdle then they can overcome!
Love the story, characters, and the town.

City girl Danni is on holiday in Juneau when she meets Declan, the local Sheriff, who just wants a quiet life. he has been hurt before so is wary of love, but will he let her leave without letting her know how he feels?
Great setting for a book - makes me want to go on holiday to Alaska too!

This was absolutely delightful! The plot was well-paced and engaging to the end. The characters were charming. I highly recommend this fun and quick Christmas read! Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

Mistletoe in Juneau by Dahlia Rose is a great feel-good, second-chance, festive, and contemporary romance that is a wonderful read for any time of the year.

I enjoyed this second-chance romance that takes place in one of my favorite locations in existence: Juneau, Alaska. The unique, picturesque, and stunning location makes a wonderful partner to this sweet romance. Both Danni and Declan have bad a bit of it in regards to past obstacles, but just at a time when both are at pivotal points in their life, they find one another, help each other find rays of hope, and in finding that new future, they find love.

It is sweet, it is uplifting, and it ends on a positive note. I love a great Hallmark romance.
