My thanks to Poisoned Pen Press, Darcy Coates and Netgalley.
I was initially worried that I may have missed something from not reading the first book in this series. No worries! This is most definitely a book that will stand alone. Does that sound disparaging? It should.
This series has 2 mysteries going. The most interesting one is mostly ignored. I personally will not stick around for more. A hint, nudge and a vague promise is not enough.
The ghost story itself was good. It was too long, but good.
Unless you're ready for a long haul of a series, then I'd ignore this thing.

Darcy Coates!! Always! What an atmospheric book. Good character, great plot, creepy vibes, what more do you need!?

The second book in the Gravekeeper series. We follow Keira, the new groundskeeper of Blighty Graveyard who can commune with ghosts. She’s back again with helping the spirits and keeping their tangled histories from seeping out. With a serial killer’s spirit coming out its now up to Keira to try and stop him before it’s too late and she finds herself his final intended victim.

*Thanks Netgalley and Poisoned Pen Press for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Groundskeeper in a graveyard; it’s not exactly the type of career anyone would aspire to, but Keira has taken to her role, caring for the dead. They are a restless lot, calling out in voices and cries that only Keira can hear. Some want help, but there are some who want revenge on the living. One restless soul, in particular, a serial killer, is looking for one last victim, and he thinks Keira would do nicely. Coates never disappoints her readers, who can always count on getting the bejesus scared out of them
