I absolutely loved this book! I found it hard to put down. I highly recommend reading it! You won’t be disappointed.

This short chapter book imagines what it would be like if water covered the earth again. Rafe wakes up and finds he is floating in his room with his dog. He has many things that are helpful in his room and more things that are helpful floating in the ocean, like food. Some of the things he finds are less useful, like rubber duckies. The story kind of meanders around without ever having any big central message or big theme.

This was a sweet little story of a boy who inexplicably gets cast out to sea in his bedroom with his dog. The story centers around his survival and the people he meets along the way. I wish the author had gone into a little more of his backstory in order to build more depth into the character but overall it was a nice story that many young readers will find intriguing.

This was such a poignant and heartwarming story! The art was also very aesthetic. I absolutely adored the contrast of white, blue, and black. My only complaint is that the book was boring at times.

This was a nice book to read before bed, but it was sad y'all! This book follows our main character who wakes up in his room floating in an endless sea. What begins as a dream sequence quickly becomes reality and our main character needs to find food to survive with his dog. Honestly, parts were surrealist and interesting but other parts fell flat for me. I enjoyed reading it, but would not purchase it for a friend. The ending was sad and I wish it was longer so that there could have been more of a plot. I would absolutely read another book by this author just to see what they did.
