classic mafia/dark romance book with unforgettable chemistry and tension between Luca and Cat! I read this in one sitting and could not put it down, it was HOT HOT HOT. The pacing was perfect and there was such a good balance between plot, character development and SPICE. I absolutely love reading interconnected stories especially when they are about HOT (ex?) mafia men. Fans of Danielle Lori, Rina Kent and Gianna Darling will certainly love this book!

The 4th book in the Brooklyn Brother Series is about Cat and Luka. Luka being infatuated with Cat from the start couldn’t forget her after their first meeting as she is a dancer. But he isn’t the only one looking at her too. With connections to the Mexican cartel and even a stalker she has her hands full. This was a fun and an excellent read.

I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book

This book was entertaining but ultimately forgettable. I feel like it was very cliche and put women back a couple of years. However, the plot kept me in it for a while and I read 60% in one night!

Romantic suspense is my favorite sub genre to read. I was excited to get an ARC for this book and had not read any of the previous books in the series, so I was glad to see that this was a standalone. However, I did not enjoy the story as much as I’d hoped. I know I was supposed to believe that Cat was brave for trying to find her sister and for infiltrating the seedy underworld that would know about trafficking. While I did think she was brave, I also thought she lacked common sense. Had she not met Luka, what would she have done with any information that led to her sister? She has no money and no connections and the mafia is not going to give her sister back because she asks real nice. This whole thing was hard to get past for me and I think it was a hurdle my mind could not jump, thus making the story unbelievable for me. I think if you can overlook a heroine with no common sense, then you may enjoy this read. It was a miss for me, unfortunately.

I loved this book! I loved the characters, and the plot! The Rosettie brothers,I need more from all of them!
I loved Cat. She was scared, but still had the courage to go after what she wanted the most. To find her sister. Even when it went against an ex that wanted to hurt her and destroy her in anyway he could.
I highly recommend this book!!

This book is sassy and suspenseful with a love story woven through. There's great banter between all the main characters and the author makes it easy to see the connection between them. This book is part of a series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone...though I highly recommend checking out the whole series to learn more about all the characters!

4.5/5 STARS

A mafia man named Luka ? In NEW YORK???? Need I say more ???

Honestly at this point, I don't think you could give me something like this and I wouldn't be in love.
This was my first book by this author and I will totally be reading the other books in this series !

I honestly loved the writing, the plot, the characters, the ups and downs that the main characters went through.
The stripperxfighter trope in this was EVERYTHING!!

Luka is a typical macho, alpha male (swoon) and Cat is not intimidated by him at all! ( we love boss bitches here)
I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of this series! Potentially one of my new faves !!

I'm sure from all my yelling in this review, you could tell that I completely enjoyed it :)
Thank you Netgalley for the arc !

This story was gritty beginning with the Prologue and continued all the rest of the way through. It was also a bit darker than I normally enjoy. Because of that and all of the detailed sex and language, that also brought my enjoyment down even lower. I began to at times think I was reading a porno. Which is a shame. I ended up skimming past some of that because in other ways the story had depth.
I also did like both of the M.C.'s and how complex that they were. They had several things in common besides just their intense lust for each other. They both found it really hard to be still for any length of time and they also dealt with their emotions by physically purging them.

One of the pluses was when it came to how close Luka's family was. As a family they also had an unusual agenda when it came to "policing" the evil around them.
There's a lot of action, and violence but also a H.E.A. for our couple.

I received an advanced reader copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Glitter and Greed is my first book by Melanie Munton and I will definitely be reading the others books in this series ASAP!

I LOVED this book! The dynamic between Luka and Cat was off the charts! The sexual tension between them and their chemistry was so hot! Luka is dark and dangerous and not to mention so HOT! Cat is a strong and brave female character that can go toe to toe with Luka and they always challenge each other. There is a scene in Luka’s weight room with a bench press that had me reaching for my water to cool off.

I was hooked in the first chapter and found that the pacing of this book was very well done. It allowed for Luka and Cat to build their relationship and for Cat to be vulnerable with Luka. This book was a good combination of plot, suspense and spice! Now if you need me, I’m going to download the rest of the series to be caught up before book 5 gets released.

Glitter and Greed with my first introduction to Melanie Munton and I was not disappointed.
Even though this book is part of a series, Glitter and Greed can be read as a standalone.

I'm familiar to mafia books, but this one is not like the others sharing this trope. To be honest, I don't think I would categorize it under the mafia trope. Maybe like sport/fighter romance or even military/1st responder romance -if that makes sense.

Overall, this book was greatly written, the entire story was well executed and I well paced. I think what makes me give it up four stars instead of a five it's because there is a third character POV. And his POV was written in the third-person, while Cat's and Luka's POV were written in the first-person.

I really enjoyed this book I'll probably pick up the three first in the series soon.

This is Book 4 in a series, as much as it can be read alone. It is far better to have been read in order. When I received this book I started to read it as is but changed my mind and when back a started the series from the beginning boy am I glad a did. With a greater understanding of each brothers stories and what event had to lead them all to the point where Glitter and Greed I knew I was in for a treat.

This is Luka and Cat’s story and it is a rollercoaster. Luka another alpha male like his brothers and like his brothers, he falls hard when he falls. Cat Vasquez is everything he never knew he wanted, She is an exotic dancer whom he can't get her out of his mind. Cat is connected with the Mexican Cartel, and in hiding from her stalker ex.

Glitter & Greed is a real page-turner. And I can’t wait to read Rome’s story next and hopefully soon Maybe Gia??

Luka… wow. Yummm.

Glitter & Greed is my first introduction to Melanie Munton’s writing, and I would like it noted that upon finishing this book I immediately downloaded the previous books in the Brooklyn Brothers series.

Munton’s prose is beautiful, and the pacing of the entire story was perfectly executed. I was captivated from the very first chapter and found myself completely bewitched by Luka and his turbulent thoughts. He is dark, dangerous and utterly delicious. Reading his inner turmoil over his fascination with Cat was so compelling, I honestly could not put the book down until I had made sure he had intertwined their lives together.

Cat is an incredible character. Brave, strong, courageous in the face of danger, and just a hint of vulnerability that she slowly allows Luka to see throughout the blossoming of their relationship.
Glitter & Greed is a real page-turner. You’ll be completely enthralled in the suspenseful journey that Luka and Cat find themselves on while trying to navigate a relationship.

I’d like to thank NetGalley for an ARC of Glitter & Greed.

I honestly haven’t read mafia stories that I enjoy this much without having added unnecessary guts and gore. This was a lovely mafia story and refreshing. Looking forward to reading more from this author

Not your average Mafia book. The Rossetti's are considered "exiled" by the New York Mafia, because they are the good guys. The Brooklyn Brothers. Five of them! This story is about Luca and Cat. Cat is connected with the Mexican Cartel, and the same man who is hunting Luca is stalking her. A story of heroism, determination and resolution of the past. I was still reading "just one more page" at three in the morning.... Once you read this, book 4, you will read every other book in the series.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this copy for my unpaid, honest opinion.

Glitter & Greed By Melanie Munton is book 4 in the Brooklyn Brothers Series. This is the story of Catalina 'Cat' Vasquez and Luka Rossetti. Luka meets Catalina and can't seem to forget her. When they meet again he can't turn away but he is finding someone else is looking at her too. This was an exciting read and I do look forward to read more books from this author.
