Sometimes I'm in the mood for a lighter, cozy read, and recently when that mood struck, I chose this story.

Overall, this was charming, light &amp; fluffy, and felt like reading a Hallmark Christmas movie.</p>

Between Cass and Charlie's stories, I preferred reading about Charlie's life (pretending to be Cass) in Starlight Peaks the best. I am a sucker for a cute small town setting!

There was nothing that made this a standout read for me, and I found myself losing interest at times, but it was cute. I think fans of cozy romances will quite like this.

The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox is a light holiday romance that gets you into the holiday spirit. Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House for an eArc! This is a fun story of twin sisters who suddenly switch places when Charlie has an accident at work and needs a replacement for her cooking show Bake My Day. She calls her twin sister Cass who is tempted to cover for her sister to escape her own life. As the sisters live each other’s lives they have an opportunity to reflect on their own lives and relationships and make changes that will bring them future happiness. This book has all the feels, you will laugh, cry and bake holiday cookies! I have already pre-ordered the next holiday book from Maggie Knox! 4 stars!

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me a free copy of this book.

Such a cute read for the holiday season!

I loved both POV's from the sisters and the idea of having one be on TV and another in a family bakery was a great way to shift the story between the sisters as their conflict was similar yet so different. Was cute, fun, and entertaining until the end.

Am I the only one still concerned about the head injury though...? lol

Freaky Friday meets Christmas fun! This book has everything--all the humour of a classic swap novel, with lots of heartfelt moments in between. I really liked reading about being an L.A. celeb chef too. Very cool!

Adult twin swap? I was on the fence. And then I read the story, and I’m still on the fence. I wish that I had loved this book, and I do look forward to reading what these authors come up with next. I have always been willing and able to suspend disbelief for the sake of a story, but I did struggle with the concept of this one.

This was a great holiday read!!
I do enjoy getting into the holiday spirit with my reading material as well. Loved how the story involved a bakery during the holidays and of course the twins!!

I was given an ARC of this book from NetGalley to review and share my honest opinions.

This book is all Hallmark Christmas cheese wrapped up with a sparkly bow. I enjoyed the book, which is fairly lighthearted, and it was definitely a cozy holiday read like advertised.

While I LOVE Christmas and all things Hallmark, this book moved fairly slowly and was quite long. I think for the style of writing and plot (a la cozy Hallmark) it would have been nicer as a bite-sized, read in an afternoon kind of length. I had trouble keeping focused on the book at times and that is why it received 3 stars from me!

3.4 ⭐️ Pleasant like a Hallmark movie. With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for access to this eARC.

I loved this one, though I am if I was hit on the head with a cast iron pan, I am not sure I would be aching to go back to work. I loved this one! I love a twin swap and this main characters were swoon worthy!

Such a cute story! I am a fan of holiday themed romcoms and this one did not disappoint. Two sisters swap places over the holidays and the fun that ensues is contagious. They each learn about themselves, challenge themselves and come out better for it. If you’re looking for a heartwarming holiday read - this is it! I’ll probably read again this next Christmas too :)

If you love Hallmark movies or are looking for a cute feel good read, then this is the book for you.

When Charlie Goodwin has an accident on the set of her cooking show, she ends up with no taste or smell due to a serious concussion. In a desperate attempt to save her career, Charlie enlists the help of her identical twin sister Cass, to switch places with her while filming wraps up on her show.

To be quite honest, I almost gave up on this book about half way through. Like I said, this book reads like a hallmark movie. I absolutely love a good cheesy hallmark movie around Christmas time, but at least those are over within an hour or two, since this is a book it does take a little bit longer to get through so make sure you're in the right mood... otherwise you might not enjoy this one.
The storyline is quite predictable, and I found myself saying multiple times "this would all be fixed, if people told the truth instead of keeping secrets" and the book would have been over much quicker. However, I am glad that I stuck through and finish the book, because the character development and the super cute & feel good ending made it all wroth wile.

Before you start this book, I recommend knowing what you're getting into and just how cheesy this book is, & making sure you're in a proper Christmas Hallmark movie mood to give this one a go.

I will make this one short and sweet!
A quaint little town at Christmas, a set of twins who change places (everyone’s dream, to be a twin and swap) sweet treats and a sweet romance. So cuddle up with a cozy blanket, get a hot drink and some Christmas cookies and enjoy this romantic comedy if it’s your thing!

Thank you to Penguin Random House Canada and NetGalley for the digital copy of this book.

I enjoyed this story. Charlie and Cass identical twins are both cooks but have totally different jobs. Charlie is a judge on a cooking show and Cass runs the family bakery. Charlie has an accident and loses her sense of smell so can’t really do her job so she decides Cass and her should change places until she recovers it. They are identical but don’t do everything the same so there are some issues that arise.

This book is the cutest holiday romance! It definitely gives off adult parent trap vibes (it sounds weird but that's what comes to mind when I think of twins switching places in such a wholesome way!) It follows two twin sisters who are both professional bakers, except both in very different ways. After a concussion, one needs a break from the bright lights and her life in the spotlight on a professional cooking show and asks her twin sister to swap places with her. Its a cozy holiday read filled with sweet treats and romance that is perfect to read on any chilly night!

If you’re looking for a hallmark movie in print this is it! A cute and fun romcom that includes a picturesque small mountain town with a family run bakery. It has everything you want and need in a holiday themed book. If you’re looking for a predictable lighthearted romance I recommend this one.

The Holiday Swap is a fun holiday romance with a side of drama and adventure. A unique take on the twins switching places idea similar to The Parent Trap. While a fun read, I couldn't help being distracted by the unrealistic notion all the supporting characters were too dense to notice the switch.
The story itself was lovely, and perfect for quirky romance lovers, who will be delighted to enjoy 2 love stories in one read. If you don't mind letting details about the possibility of this caper fall by the wayside, you'll enjoy the Christmassy escape.
