This was absolutely amazing!! I could feel what the characters were going through. It was a beautiful love story.

Very cute love story. This is exactly the feel-good book you’re looking for. The characters were interesting and their relationships were well developed and complex. This is the third and final book in the “Meet Me at the Alter” series. It did give a few spoilers to the previous books but they actually made me want to go back and read them more. The dialogue flowed easily. Steamy scenes were very well done. The narrator had a pleasant voice and did a great job.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media, Samantha Chase, and NetGalley for giving me the chance to listen to this story and share my honest thoughts and opinions with others.

You May Kiss the Groomsman is the third book in Samantha Chase’s Meet Me at the Altar series. Josie Sullivan and her best friends Leanna and Skyler are partners at the wedding planning firm Meet me at the Altar. Skyler recently married Josie’s brother Elliott and they now have a beautiful baby girl. Leanna is engaged to the athletic Brody. They are taking their time to plan the perfect wedding. Josie has always professed to being a loner, but is she really?

As she begins to feel left out, her friend Tyler Alexander tells Josie about the pressure in his law firm for the associates to be married and feels this is a must to get ahead. Josie has no one on the horizon and entertains the idea of a marriage of convenience to help her friend and, perhaps, stave off her own emptiness. But it’s just talk, right?
When Josie meets Daniel Alexander there is an immediate connection. After a shared dinner and shared kisses, Josie and Daniel part. Although the chemistry is there, the phone call interruptions make going further a problem.

When a week or so later Tyler actually proposes with the most hideous ring Josie has ever seen it is right as Tyler’s parents and brother are seated at a table across from them. Josie is like a deer in the headlights, the Alexanders are elated, and Daniel is dumbfounded that his single date since his military separation is in a relationship with his brother. Then he learns Josie is also a neighbor.

There is no doubt about the chemistry between Daniel and Josie and also no doubt it doesn’t exist between Tyler and Josie. So why on Earth is Tyler with Josie? And what do Josie’s business partners/best friends know about this? This is such a fun story that will take the reader on a wonderful ride between her business partners and her dating partners, and take the looming wedding on to a whole new level.

In an original tale of mixups and missteps, Samantha Chase once again pens a lovely story of crazy occurrences and a wish for love. I very much enjoyed this book and I wholeheartedly recommend it

You May Kiss the Groomsman
(Meet Me At the Altar #3)

Josie Sullivan is part owner of Meet Me at the Altar a wedding planning/event business. Her business partner Lea is recently engaged. Skye is the third partner in the business; she is married to Elliot Josie’s brother. Skye has recently given birth. Josie is frustrated; she is always planning someone else’s wedding. Her friend Tyler asks her to marry him so he can get a promotion at work. They had discussed a low-key affair. They planned on the marriage just being one of convenience and short term. Just as Tyler gives her an engagement ring, his family sees them. The low-key quiet marriage is suddenly getting bigger. Every time she tries to back out of the wedding Tyler finds a way to manipulate her.
Daniel Alexander hasn’t been home for years. The former Navy SEAL is a civilian now and going into business with a couple of friends. Daniel meets Josie at the hospital and asked her to dinner. They are attracted to each other. Then he and his family are having dinner out when they witness Tyler proposing to Josie. Daniel is mistrusting and determined to prove that Josie isn’t what his little brother needs.
This is a nice love story. I didn’t like Tyler; he is manipulative, and I wanted Josie to tell him to get lost. For the most part I liked Josie. I liked Daniel part of the time. But he found himself falling in love with Josie but not trusting her. It looks as if she is going to lose Tyler’s friendship and Daniel’s love. This is a steamy romance.

This was such a fantastic book! It had a fake engagement in it, but it wasn't your usual fake engagement. Josie has agreed to a fake engagement to Tyler (who is a manipulative douchebag by the way). Right before she agrees to it she meets an incredible guy, Daniel, and they have dinner together. It doesn't go super well, but he's not going to forget her anytime soon after the lip lock she plants on him. The fake engagement comes into play and things get really messy since they can't seem to keep their body parts apart even though she is supposedly engaged to his little brother. What a mess!

The author somehow manages to fix all the messed up stuff without making things seem horrific and totally morally corrupt. Daniel and Josie really are sweet together.
I jumped in the middle of things with the third book of the series, but I'm certainly going to go back and pick up the other two. Chase's romantic writing is superb and I highly recommend you try it out! If you're into audio, the narration by Avery Reid was wonderfully perfect!

I was gifted a copy of this audiobook by Dreamscape Media and NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

This book was super cute. I loved Josie and Daniel, kinda hated Tyler (for most of the book). This book was not what I was expecting. But I loved the way it all turned out and everyone found their happily ever after!

I was given an ARC of this audiobook by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I don't have any complaints about the actual writing on this book. On the other hand, I rarely DNF books and that's exactly what I did with this one. The characters were idiots. And I feel like I'm being too kind. Particularly Josie. She just...I just can't.
The good news is, that by chapter 8 there is no graphic sex. The bad news is that I'm fairly certain there will be. And it's not easy to skip in an audiobook.

Really adorable and funny concept. Josie is an amazingly loyal friend who promises to help her BFF Tyler get a promotion at work. Marriage for a year, quickie quiet divorce and voila’. No potential for any issues there right? Before the marriage she meets Daniel, with whom she has an instantaneous undeniable connection. He is recently retired from the military, starting his own business and oh wait a moment, just happens to be Tylers brother. Tyler is filled with rage, jealousy and hatred towards his brother and also happens to be a gold medalist in selfishness, egomania and narcissism. Josie is a strong smart woman and yet where Tyler is concerned has zero spine. I can’t imagine any way she’d have actually been friends with him as he has ZERO redeeming qualities and no where in the book lets us know why she’d be friends with him. Again, cute concept but would have been more believable had we learned one single decent thing about Tyler so the story made sense. Love this author, but this one missed the mark for me. Mostly I was annoyed listening to it.

I received this audiobook as an ARC from NetGalley. I did enjoy this book. I read a book in the author series of Meet Me at the Altar. This author’s books are very enjoyable. The plot of H engaged to 1 brother but in love with another. It interested him and caught my attention. There are funny parts in the book which did make me smile. Overall, I did enjoy this book but found it dragging. I grew tired of the h constant indecision and back and forth. Usually, her books are fast-paced and keep you entertained. I look forward to the other books in this series. I do recommend and buy this author.

This is such a cute romance!
The narrator was lovely and kept me listening every chance I got.
Would definitely recommend!

Tyler is Josie's best friend. He's up for partner at his law firm, but his boss is looking for a family man. If Josie agrees to a marriage of convenience, Tyler will get his promotion, and she'll get new business for her event planning service. Josie is sort of on board, until…

She meets a hot guy, and they share a hot kiss. Only the guy turns out to be Tyler's brother Daniel, just back from deployment. And he walks in while Tyler is proposing to Josie.

Now, Daniel thinks Josie is his brother's cheating fiancée. If she tells him the truth, it could ruin Tyler's chance at a promotion. How long can she pretend to be engaged to one man while she's falling for another?

Samantha Chase writes sensual romance with a small-town feel (even if, like this one, they're not set in a small town). The female friendships in this book provide a strong foundation for the series. Josie is a smart, determined heroine who knows she's making terrible choices but can't figure out how to make good ones without hurting people she cares about. And Daniel is a swoony hero, an all-around good guy who's also a former SEAL.

Despite the over-the-top premise, the story makes sense in context. The characters are well developed, and the family themes running throughout give the book a sense of home. It's an emotional. heartwarming romance. The narration by Avery Reid adds to the enjoyment of the story.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

I listened to this book rather than read it, and it was like having a Hallmark or Lifetime movie in my pocket! Score!

While this was the first of the Meet Me at the Altar series I enjoyed, I quickly learned that author Samantha Chase brings you up to speed without any intrusion. I was promptly filled in and felt like I knew all of the Meet Me at the Altar crew, a Bridal Planning boutique ran be three best-friends.

After reading the synopsis, I thought I had what this book would entail figured out. This book was a lot like planning a wedding, ironically enough! You think you know how everything is going to go--there are lots of surprises along the way--and then everything gets wrapped up nicely in a bow, making you wonder why you ever had any doubt!

This book surpassed my expectations of what I thought would be just a light, romantic comedy. It certainly was! But I was able to invest in the characters on a deeper level...and not just because the lead characters have an appreciation for Disney Movies and take-out like myself! ;)

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fun romances with light steam. Overall a good time!

This was a fun book to listen to. I really enjoyed the narration :)

The relationships were great expect for Josie and Tyler, while I loved Josie's loyalty to friends, she needed to get a little more backbone! This is the first of this series I've read, and it is definitely a stand-alone, but I"ll be going back to read about Josie's friends.

Josie is trying to be a good friend and agrees to marry Tyler so he can get a promotion at work. The problem is that she made out with his brother, unknowingly, the other night. When they keep running into each other, sparks fly. She has to decide on whether she wants to be a good friend or go after the man that makes her heart skip a beat.
Opinion
Samantha Chase writes hella good books. Her imagination knows no bounds and she certainly knows how to grab your attention and keep it. This book falls right into her status quo with the quality of story presented. Of course you know what will ultimately happen but Chase keeps it so that the details surprise you.
This is the third book in the series but the first that I have read. I had absolutely no problem keeping up with what was going on. This book could be read as a stand alone.
I listened to the audiobook and it was fabulous. The narrator did a stand up job.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Josie Sullivan agrees to a marriage of convenience to help out her friend, Tyler. But then Tyler’s family gets involved and the whole thing turns into a mess - especially when sparks fly between Josie and Daniel, Tyler’s brother who has just returned home from the Navy. What will Josie do?
I really enjoyed this book! I was caught up in it and wanted to keep listening. The audio narration by Avery Reid was great. It was the first Samantha Chase book that I have read (and #3 in the Meet Me At The Altar series) but I will definitely be going back to read the first two books and learn the backstories of Josie’s best friends. The characters were great, and the plot was interesting. Josie and Daniel had great chemistry, and I wanted them to just get over the obstacles and realize they belonged together! I loved Josie’s loyalty to her friends, but I wished she would stand up for herself to Tyler a bit more. I really liked the friendship between Josie, Skylar and Leanna. All in all, this was a fun romantic read.

The relationship between the MCs was compelling and full of chemistry, but the complications of the plot got a little frustrating. It was hard to believe Josie persisted in making some of the decisions that she did, especially for the benefit of a guy who was definitely a tool. Daniel's thoughts were interesting to follow, though, and he came across as pretty mature and appealing.

The narrator was good, but I would have loved to have had a separate one for each POV.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to give this a listen!

Oh my goodness. The angst between the love interest and main character!! Chief's kiss!

Josie is a wedding planner, and after years of seeing everyone around her fall in love and find true happiness she begins to truly want it for herself. The only problem is is that she hasn't found the person she love like everyone else has. When a friend and her mistaken for a couple they don't deny it even though there isn't any romantic feelings there. They hatch a plan to marry to help him get a promotion and to allow her to feel like she has what everyone else in her life does and has been bugging her about for years.

Daniel is a former Navy Seal who is now a security specialist. He is the brother to Josie's friend that she is planning to marry. While they may have fooled everyone else, Daniel sees right through the sham and is determined to put it to an end.

At first they get on each others nerves but soon enough they start to truly feel something for each other that neither of them were expecting. I love how this story came along.

Thank you NetGalley for an arc of the audiobook.

This was an easy book to listen to, and the narrator is excellent.
The plot is even, without a lot of up and downs or any extreme situations.
It was a very fast listen, even though it is not a short book.
It's a nice summer read. If you are looking for a light and no angst romance with mostly close doors intimate moments, this book will hit the spot.

Josie has been feeling left behind now that her best friend is married wirh a baby and the other is engaged, while she's not even dating anyone, so she agrees to marry her friend Tyler to help him win a promotion and hoping they would remain married afterwards, but when she meets Daniel that scheme seems stupid to her now and she needs to find a way out of it.

This book was a light fast read but it was only ok. It reads like a hallmark movie which is great for many, but it annoyed me how Josie behaved, we kept been told what a strong independent woman she was from everyone around her, bur she didnt behave like that at all. I also hatef the amount of "OCD" comments the author made just to describe how organized the character was when they were definitely not diagnosed with OCD.

Overall I enjoyed it and didn't feel like I wasted my time or that I didn't want to keep reading, but it's also not a book I would automatically recommend.

Not your typical fake engagement!

The heroine: Josie Sullivan - part owner of a wedding planning/event planning business called Meet Me at the Alter. Josie suffers from wedding planner syndrome where she is always planning somebody else’s wedding but never her own. One of her partners in the business, Skye married her brother Elliot not too long ago and they just had their first child.

The Hero(es): Daniel Alexander - Just returned from 15 years as a Navy Seal, he plans to start a Security business with his two friends and strengthen his family ties which fell to the wayside a bit while he was in the military. He meets Josie in the hospital while visiting a friend and takes her out to dinner which doesn’t go too well though they are wildly attracted to each other.

The story: Josie, who is yearning for a marriage and family of her own, helped her best friend Tyler plan a party for his Law Firm. Tyler has seen other men is his firm reach partner status by doing things like that and especially after getting married, so when Tyler’s boss and his wife assume that Josie is his fiancé, neither of them correct the mistake.

Tyler sees that he could get on the partner track by getting married and so he suggests that he and Josie get married in a civil ceremony and stay married for a year or so in order for him to become a partner and to grow her business from wedding planning to event planning using his contacts at the firm. He proposes to her in a restaurant only to find that his parents and brother Daniel who just returned from the military are in the next booth and overhear his proposal.

Josie and Daniel are attracted to each other and Daniel couldn’t get her out of his mind after their date. He can’t figure Josie out. He is determined to find out what is up with his brothers engagement and wants to prove that Josie won’t be faithful to his brother.

The story is a good one and so different from the fake engagement/fake marriage stories I have read before where the bride and groom get involved for whatever reason and fall in love for real as the story progresses. In this story, Josie is the kind of person that never wants to let anyone down and she feels her friend Tyler really needs her, but she is having trouble fighting her attraction to his brother Daniel.

The narration, done by Avery Reid, was good. She has a pleasant voice which was perfect for Josie and her friends. However, the book was told in dual POV (Josie and Daniel) and there was only a female narrator so I am taking off a point for that. I just hate when female’s do the male voice and vice versa. Especially for a big, tough Navy Seal. I like to hear a sexy male voice for that.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
