Thanks to the publisher for the audiobook ARC!

Synopsis: Wedding planner Josie agrees to a wedding of convenience to her longtime friend Tyler, hoping to help both their careers. But then life throws a wrench in her plans when she meets his older brother, retired Navy SEAL and now security consultant, Daniel, and they feel an instant connection.

Review: Overall I enjoyed the first 3/4 of the book but wasn’t feeling the conclusion. I thought the author leaned a little heavily on the idea of the lonely single gal whose friends are all married and having babies, while she’s never had a satisfying relationship. Just didn’t do that much for me. I’ve enjoyed other wedding-planner-centric and marriage of convenience trope books more than this one.

This is the first book in this series (Meet me at the altar) that I've listened to, but I will definitely be listening to the first two books asap. I really enjoyed this book and I liked the narration as well.

This story revolves around Josie, Tyler and Daniel. Josie & Tyler have been friends for a long time - Tyler is Josie's brother's best friend after all. Tyler is a selfish young lawyer that is always chasing after becoming a partner. His law firm has made him believe that if he were to get married, he would become a partner. Tyler asked his girlfriend of two years to marry him (but he worded it honestly and told her it was only so he could become a partner) and she dumped him. Naturally, he turned to his best girl friend next, Josie.

Josie is the type of friend that will do anything for any of her friends - she is fiercely loyal. But she is also starting to get a little depressed that her two best friends are married or engaged and one of them just had a baby. Why does she feel like her life has stalled? Then Tyler introduces this insane idea and she wants to go along with it just because it would give her a partner, even though she doesn't feel romantically about Tyler. Her two best friends tell her this is insane and she could end up missing Mr. Right while she is married (on paper only) to Tyler.

What Josie doesn't count on is Tyler's brother, Daniel, coming back home after a 15 year career in the Navy. The attraction between Josie & Daniel is real - but Daniel doesn't want to be that guy that hits on his brother's fiancee - he doesn't know the engagement is a sham. As their chemistry heats up, will Josie & Tyler go through with the marriage sham or will Josie & Daniel get together?

This is a cute story that can easily be read in a day. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

Summary: Josie Sullivan has watched her two best friends fall in love and find happiness. Josie wants to find that kind of love, and in a moment of desperation, Josie agrees to a fake relationship with her friend Tyler to help him get a promotion. Josie is willing to put her life on hold for a year while she has a fake marriage on paper with Tyler until she meets Daniel. Daniel is charming, handsome, and he wants Josie. There is only one problem; Daniel is Tyler’s brother. Can Josie help her friend and find her happily ever after?

Review: You May Now Kiss the Groomsman was my first book by Samantha Chase, and I was impressed. You May Now Kiss the Groomsman was a cute romance, but the book felt like something was missing. I enjoyed the romance between Josie and Daniel. Josie and Daniel’s relationship was sizzling with a touch of humor. Also, I enjoyed the relationship between Josie and her friends/ business partners, Skye and Lea. The weakness of the book for me was Josie and Tyler. I never felt like I got to know or like Josie. Several times throughout the book, Josie’s behavior is more annoying than endearing. You May Now Kiss the Groomsman is the third book in the series, and Josie’s development may be richer for readers of the first two novels. Plus, I couldn’t figure out why anyone would be loyal to Tyler. Tyler was pushy, unkind, and selfish. Chase tells us several times that Josie is an amazing friend, but Tyler doesn’t deserve her friendship. You May Now Kiss the Groomsman was my first book by Samantha Chase, and while it wasn’t perfect, it did make me want to read more from the author.

Very cute, Kinda reminded me of the movie, proposal.

The story is a good one and so different from the fake engagement/fake marriage stories I have read before where the bride and groom get involved for whatever reason and fall in love for real as the story progresses. In this story, Josie is the kind of person that never wants to let anyone down and she feels her friend Tyler really needs her, but she is having trouble fighting her attraction to his brother Daniel.
This is the first book of Samantha Chase's that I have read and I plan to read the other two in this series. What can I say, this book had me right from the beginning to the end. I've never listened to anything performed by Avery Reid but the narration was done very well.

This one is all about the good vibes and fun moments. Starting with the highly improbable, but incredibly entertaining premise of leading lady Josie accepting a marriage of convenience in order to get her friend a promotion on the same day that she meets his super hot older brother, this is one entertaining moment after another. Even with the mandatory in every rom-com separation in the third act, there is nothing but good vibes rolling out of this story.
The narrator (Avery Reid) is good at giving scenes the right emotion and expressing the characters' feelings. Her cheerful voice helps make this an overall really upbeat listen even when things in the story are on a downswing.

Many happy thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the early listen!

Truly enjoyed this audio book. The narrator, Avery Reid, does an excellent job on this modern day romance. Josie agrees to marry her friend Tyler (she doesn't have anything better to do) in order to speed up his chance for a promotion at his law firm. However, Tyler is so focused on his job that he bails on her multiple times, leaving her alone at his family functions. His brother Daniel, a former Navy seal is about ready to strangle his brother. How can he be so irresponsible toward his future wife! Daniel goes out of his way to rescue Josie on more than one occasion and sparks fly. It truly is love at first sight. Tyler, even though he has been MIA for months, doesn't take the news so well. He is sure his brother and Josie are out to sabotage his career. The last thing Josie wants is to come between brothers.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

I enjoyed this story. The characters made me feel all sorts of things. I really liked the FMC and thought that she was relatable, even though there were times where I wanted to push her harder to fight for the things she wanted. I really liked the MMC, even though his decisions frustrated me. I liked he asked the friends of the FMC for advice. The friendship between the FMC and her girls was my favorite part of the story. I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook and thought the narrator did a good job. I think it could have been even better with a male reading the MMC parts.
Thank you #Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook!

You May Kiss the Groomsman by Samantha Chase. This was a cute romance based on an engagement of convenience and a new romance for a young woman who believed romance had passed her by. Josie Sullivan had agreed to marry her brother's best friend, Tyler. Not because she loved him, but because he was up for a promotion and being married would help him secure it. Plus, his firm loved Josie ever since she had helped pull off a major event for them. Josie was a wedding planner, which was just another event, so she was good at it. One evening she was sitting in the coffee shop at the hospital after she and her partner, Leanna, had been visiting their third partner and Josie's sister-in-law, and her new baby. There Josie spotted a man she was drawn to, a man not her type at all. Leanna urged her to go for it, and before you knew it they were going to dinner. It was David Alexander, unbeknownst to Josie, Tyler's brother, home after 15 years in the navy. During dinner, while their attraction grew, Josie was pulled back to reality by her buzzing phone, but before leaving, she just couldn't resist giving him a long, hot kiss. One neither of them would forget for a while. Several night later, just as Tyler was pulling out the ring (so ugly) to propose who should pop up but his parents and...David. From her things went downhill, or uphill depending on the perspective.

It was definitely a comedy of errors...errors which kept happening. Everyone who knew about it told Josie what a bad idea this marriage was. Josie kept repeating that if it hadn't been for bad luck, no one would have ever known. It would have been one and done and life would have gone on. Of course, David is torn between concern for his brother, who he barely knew, and his growing feeling for Josie. A perfect setup for conflict. Of course, conflict came, but by then most of the cast had thought the situation through and come up with solutions. It was an entertaining listen, if nothing else.

I am not sure I like romance in audio. The female readers are often so tentative. It pulls me away from the story. Avery Reid did an acceptable job of reading, given this proviso.

I was invited to listen to a free audio ARC of you May Kiss the Groomsman by Dreamscape Media through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #netgalley #dreamscapemedia #youmaykissthegroomsman

Josie Sullivan owns a Wedding planning business with her tow best friends. Josie is single and has always been happy with being single until one of her friends gets married and has a baby and the other friend get engaged. She is starting to envy the loving relationships that her friends have. When her good friend Tyler asks her to marry him to help his career she considers it even though it would not be a real marriage with all the love and tenderness she is craving. While leaving the hospital after seeing her friends new baby, she encounters a very attractive man. This is the first time she has been attracted to a man in a long time. He asks her out to dinner. In the parking lot afterward they share a passionate kiss. She can't stop thinking about that sexy man and realizes that she doesn't want to marry Tyler. Tyler invites her out to dinner and surprises her with an engagement ring and before she can tell him that she doesn't want to get married, his parents show up at the restaurant. Rather than embarrass him in front of his parents, she does not tell him no. To make matters worse, the sexy man she had just met is standing with his parents. It is his older brother that just returned home after 15 years in the Navy as a Seal. A lot of drama ensues as Josie is invited to events with Tyler's family however, Tyler never shows leaving Josie with his brother. This is a very good book that I enjoyed.

Cute and delightful story. Fake engagement with a twist. Third in the series but can be enjoyed as Standalone.

I haven't read the other two books in this trilogy (or maybe a pentalogy since Daniel's two buddies are single and it seems like Meet Me at the Altar has a new employee.....) but it works as a stand alone.

This book pushes the "fake fiancee" trope past it's usual ridiculous state to completely unbelievable. I was surprised at how this fake relationship was only a secret to Tyler's parents and bosses. How can all these people who know let Daniel and Josie keep dating while she was "engaged" to his brother Tyler? Sure, he was on a business trip. But she could have called/facetimed/sent a registered letter declaring hey, this fake wedding thing is over, I'm dating your brother. The End.

There were quite a few sweet moments - especially with baby Bella - and some funny moments which kept this book light and happy. I really liked that the other 2 women who run Meet Me at the Altar with Josie got to give her a reality check (like it sounds she did to them in books 1 and 2).

Finally, can we talk about how it's always law firms that require marriage to make a partner in these books/movies which then lead to the ol' fake fiancee? Why is that?

*I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher and I am required to disclose that in my review in compliance with federal law.

I enjoyed this story. Was it the best romance I've ever read? No. However, if you can get through the first section where the main character is being insufferable, then this book is almost a romantic comedy.

The characters do kind of fall flat, but it's cute romance if you're not looking for too much depth. They have cute moments and even some really realistic moments. Like the longing many people feel when those around them start to get married and have children.

The narrators were great, nothing to complain about.

“Forget all the reasons it won’t
work & find one reason it will”

💗It seemed like a good idea at the time…
Josie Sullivan has always been distracted by her work but it’s when she sees her brother & her BestFriend married & welcoming their new baby, she begins to realize there is more to life than just work.

Then she realizes. She wants more. She wants love.

But then she one of her Friend's Tyler suggests something crazy. Tyler is just another workaholic who is proposed a promotion. One that involves Josie… Tyler & Josie in a relationship. 👀 & they begin to debate whether this fake relationship could work that will push them to the top of their careers.

💥BAM!💥 & then welcome the third point in this love triangle, Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel who is Tyler’s OLDER BROTHER. 👀👀 (yup my eyes got extremely wider from the first paragraph)…

Now our poor Josie is stuck in a complicated love triangle. Will her workaholic self chose the guy who will help her climb the ladder to success, something she has always dreamed about OR will she chose the guy who makes her heart race? Or will the brothers unite & walk away from her?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

💗What I love: I loved the chemistry between Daniel & Josie how they just met but seemed like they knew each other & were best friends year prior. I loved the relationship between the brothers & how they had their own story about their childhood & their relationship as siblings. Reminded me of myself & my older sister. The characters were hilarious & the dialogue between them couldn’t help but remind me how I talk to my friends.

💗What I disliked: I wanted more spice at least 🥲 these are adult characters & a navy seal… 😉 so I wanted some really steamy scenes with this ex-military guy

💗Reading narrator: loved the voice & the person they picked for this reading. It was soothing & it actually helped me relax. She also made changes her voice for different characters & changed the pitch in her voice to match sarcastic remarks, arguments, & expressions. It was almost like listening in to someone else’s conversation.

Summary:
You May Kiss the Groomsman follows, Josie, a wedding planner, that has agreed to marry her friend Tyler, in order for him to get a promotion at work. It was supposed to just be a marriage of convenience, but things got out of hand when his family showed up and everything spiraled out of control. This included meeting and falling hard for Tyler’s brother, Daniel.

Review: I fell in love with Josie and Daniel. They had such great chemistry together, and I loved watching their relationship bloom. I also enjoyed Josie’s best friends in the book. Everything was well written and flowed well. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

We meet Josie when she is feeling down, all her friends are getting married and her brother just had his first baby with her friend. She goes down to the hospital cafeteria with her friend. She says has an option for marriage, with Tyler, a friend who has been told if he was married he would get a promotion. Her friend heads back and Josie sits at a table and takes a call.

Daniel, the former SEAL, sees a pretty girl across the room. He can't stop glancing at her and she shoots him a smile. He orders coffee and sits a few tables away. She walks over to him and asks to join him at the table. After talking for a few minutes Daniel asks her, Josie, for dinner. He is looking forward to getting to know Josie better. Her phone keeps going off and she gets work calls while on the date. Daniel wants a date who is going to pay attention to him. Josie knows she has blown this date but would regret not getting a kiss from Daniel.

Daniel (and his parents) show up to the restaurant only to see his brother Tyler, and Josie! Tyler was in the middle of "proposing" to Josie. They join them at the table and the wedding plans are getting out of hand. But Daniel is suspicious of the whole circumstance.

Josie and Tyler meet with Daniel for a family dinner. Tyler gets a call and leaves the table leaving Daniel and Josie to have the date they should have had. Daniel has Josie checked into because something doesn't make sense in this relationship. All he can see on paper is that they are friends. Daniel is obviously crushing on Josie, which is clear to all of Daniels's friends as well.

After an episode of domestic abuse, next door to Josie is scared and decides to spend the night at Daniels's place. Where they finally decide to take their attraction to the next level. When they finally decide to make it move forward to the next step in their relationship, Tyler unexpectedly shows up on Josie's doorstep and is not Happy to see Daniel with Josie. The next thing you know Daniel and Tyler are in a fistfight and Josie and Daniel break up.

Later Tyler meets Josie to tell her he and Katie, his ex-girlfriend are back together and are getting married, and moved to a different type of law. Now it's time for Tyler to fix everything with Daniel and Josie, and Daniel shows up and asks Josie to give Daniel another chance.

Review: I got this ARC audiobook after requesting it from NetGalley. This is the second book I have reviewed by author Samantha Chase. I like the friend's brother romance. I like that Tyler and Daniel were able to work through their relationship. This book is the third in the Meet me at the alter series but I don't feel like I missed anything by not reading the first two books first. I give this book a 4. The narrator Avery Reid was new to me but did a wonderful job on this audiobook.

You May Kiss the Groomsman was absolutely fantastic! I loved the "While You Were Sleeping" vibe (one of my very favorite movies!), I loved the storyline and characters. I loved all the "feels" this gave me. I enjoyed the narrator as well! I just have nothing but good to say about this! It was a best friend's brother, a fake engagement, ex-military, rom com, tear-jerking romance.

Josie and Daniel were wonderful characters, who had you rooting for them from the start. This is the third book in the series, and my favorite one as well (remember...While You Were Sleeping LOL). But honestly, I absolutely loved everything about this!

I’m an avid reader of books by Samantha Chase. This was a fun book to listen to. It was a little more steamy than other books that she has written but still more “left to your imagination” than some other books in this genre. It’s definitely a fun story that I would recommend to others. I think situation was definitely a mess that Josie and Tyler needed to get figured out so that true love would win in the end!

A wonderful HEA read!

Okay so... To be perfectly honest, when I first started listening to this audiobook, I felt like it was written by someone else. I had just finished another book by this author and it just felt different. Boring. I was about to call it another DNF and turn it off until *SPOILER* the proposal when Daniel walked in. After that it started to get interesting. I did however feel like them falling in love was a bit rushed. Yeah, yeah, you can fall in love in an instant. But this just felt too fast for these two, like the author was rushing to finish it.

Other than that, I loved the story.

I thought I would love this book but I didn't. I found the plot to be frustrating and implausible. Josie had no backbone when dealing with Tyler. I had a hard time believing that a smart woman would get herself into this predicament.
