You May Kiss the Groomsman is the third book in the Meet Me at the Alter series and concluded the storyline for the partners in the bridal planning business.
Josie Sullivan is the most pragmatic of the 3 partners. She is the one who is always thinking of ways to grow the business and is the first to jump in to new ideas. But with both of her business partners finding their other half she's starting to consider the maybe marriage it is something she wants. Of course agreeing to a on paper only marriage to help a friend secure a promotion might not be the best course of action. And what's worse, this was supposed to just be between her and Ty, but now his family including his gorgeous older brother know about the engagement.
Daniel Alexander is home after 15 years as a Navy Seal. He's looking forward to starting his own business with his friends and getting reconnected from his family. He's completly shocked when they interrupt his brother proposing. And even more surprised since he knows the Bride to be. Now his goal is to figure out what's really going on and trying to stop finding himself with Josie in his arms.

This is the first book of Samantha Chase's that I have read and I plan to read the other two in this series. What can I say, this book had me right from the beginning to the end. I've never listened to anything performed by Avery Reid but the narration was done very well. Daniel and Josie were likeable characters in the story and the chemistry between the two was just on point. I loved the attraction at the hospital with either one not knowing who should make the first move. The only craziness that I detest was Josie's inability to kick Daniel's brother to the curb. Her lack of backbone, friendship or no friendship was sometime annoying, yet she was decisive about her feelings towards Daniel and what she wanted from him...a bit confusing. The intimacy between Daniel and Josie was just right and not overdone...totally liked. I so loved her relationship with her BFFs. They were an extra addition to the storyline. As I have not read the others in this series, this was a nice standalone and did not really need the other two to catch up on other characters in the book. A romantic and entertaining listen that I recommend.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this ARC Audiobook in exchange for my fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

I have not read the first two in the series and, while I would like to go back and read them now, this can easily be read as a standalone.
Josie is willing to do anything for those she loves. She agrees to help her good friend, Tyler, by agreeing to a fake relationship so that he can appear to be solid and committed to his employer. The only problem is that in the meantime, Josie meets Daniel, Tyler's brother, and their chemistry is off the charts. But Tyler needs help and Daniel seems to be a blip on the radar, so what's a girl to do?
I like the twist on the brother's best friend trope with a tinge of love triangle and fake dating. The love triangle is more from the LI's perspective rather than reality, so I believe readers who aren't a fan of the trope will still enjoy it here.
I listened to the audiobook for this title and the narrator, Avery Reid, is a perfect fit for the tone and content. Her inflection added interest to the story.
Steam: innuendo and skippable open door scene
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

Entertaining, well-written rom-com with likable characters who create problems for themselves by trying to do the right thing for the wrong reason. Lead character Josie is the only partner in a wedding planning business who hasn't yet found her dream man. That makes her available to help out a friend out by agreeing to a sham marriage. Complications ensue when she meets and then falls for the friend's brother. I enjoyed how the plot unfurled such that everyone got their HEA. I listened to the audible format; the narrator did a great job.

Tyler is a young lawyer trying to make partner at a firm that likes their partners to be settled and that means married. Josie is a good friend and also Tyler's best friend's younger sister. Daniel is Tyler's older brother and has been in the military and away from home for the last 15 years.

When Tyler asks Josie to marry him for a year so he can get his partnership and he will help her get the job of event planner for the firm's charity events. It sounds like a win win until Daniel meets Josie and there is an instant attraction between them.

I loved listening to this audio book, but I'm sure it would be a good book to read also. The characters and situations are like real life, although I've never had anyone ask me to marry them temporarily and I rarely carry frosting in my purse. (I may rethink that frosting thing).

The book is pure escapism and very enjoyable. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I loved listening to this author’s Magnolia Sound series, and was thrilled when I got this audiobook of her new series, Meet Me at the Altar. As much as I enjoyed it, not having read or listened to the previous stories, I felt I was missing something and would have enjoyed it more if I had read and or listened to the previous stories in the series.
This audiobook centers around Josie Sullivan and Daniel Alexander.
Josie is part owner of a wedding planning business. She was fine being independent, but as her business partners and friends find love, she is a tad jealous of them. So when Josie’s friend Tyler needs her help, she agrees to the plan. In order for him to get a promotion in the law office he works at, she and Tyler will have a marriage of convenience.
But what happens when Daniel, Tyler’s brother shows up and all of a sudden sparks ignite between the two?
This was an engaging story with characters you’ll come to love.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is my first time reading a book by Samantha Chase and I really enjoyed it!
I liked the premise if this book because it's a unique twist on the brother's friends trope!
Josie is good friends with her brother's bf, Tyler. They're both single and looking to further their careers and agree to a marriage if convenience.
Alas that's when Mr Right walks into her life at the wrong time. Turns out. Daniel is a Tyler's big brother who's returned from the SEALS after 15 years away.
This book is so much more than a sweet, albeit angsty romance.
Josie has a wonderful relationship with her 2 bffs, one who is also her SIL.
Daniel is a hot, hot mess but he's also fallen for his little brother's fake fiancée.
Tyler is a bit of a selfish ass but I did feel a little bad for him.
Both brother's have issues and needed to be dealt with.
Loved the HEA and ending of this book and the bonus at the end!!

This is the first book of Samantha Chase's that I have read and the first book of this series and I was hooked from the start. Daniel and Josie had chemistry and attraction right from their first encounter but after agreeing to help out a friend by marrying them, Josie starts the reader on one heck of a rollercoaster ride of events and emotions. Where this was the first book of the series that I have read, I can honestly say that this and the others can be read as a standalone book. This being the third book of the series, I did not feel lost or that I had missed anything by not reading the other books in the series. The narration by Avery Reid was performed well and she did a great job bringing the story to life. Overall, this was a good read that I enjoyed from the start and would recommend to others.

In the middle of agreeing to marry Tyler, one of her good friends, for the sake of his promotion at work, Josie finds herself second guessing her decision especially when she meets up with a gorgeous man she feels an instant attraction to. But when the brief encounter with Daniel turns into a disaster because he is introduced to Josie as Tyler's brother the plot thickens and her heart sinks. Can you really fall in love instantly with a stranger? And can Josie disappoint Tyler while trying to find her HEA? With instantly lovable characters and a storyline that will keep the listener enthralled this was a wonderful addition to the Meet Me at the Alter Series. Samantha Chase never disappoints and can only prove time and time again that no matter the storyline she can write romance that her readers always love. The narrator was perfect!

You May Kiss the Groomsman by Samantha Chase

Josie Sullivan thought at the time it was a good idea, to marry her friend Tyler. It would get him the promotion he wanted at work. She only wanted to be a good friend. It would only be on paper, one year and no one really needed to know about it. Both work driven, the time would go fast.

But when Tyler ‘proposed’ his family so happened to show up. That put an end to the courthouse wedding. Tyler’s mom is so excited to plan a big wedding!!

Tyler’s brother, Daniel, happened to witness the ‘proposal’ after being away for fifteen years as a Navy Seal. Daniel is confused as just the other day, him and Josie seemed to have a real connection?! To find out his brother has been dating Josie? Wait, what? Daniel is convinced something is up and his younger brother is making a huge mistake!

Is Josie making a mistake by helping a friend? Will she kiss the groom or groomsman?

It’s great to be a good friend, but don’t let anyone else dictate your happiness!

This was a good friendship/love story! I was so excited to listen to this book, reading the description of the book, it reminded me of the movie ‘The Proposal’. Chase did not disappoint! Great story!! Likable characters! This is the third book in the Meet Me At the Alter Series, but can be read on its own.

Thank you Samantha Chase, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audio to listen to this book in return for my honest review!

Josie is surrounded by brides and babies and wondering when it is going to be her time! She is a wedding planner and with no prospects in sight for herself her friend Tyler comes up with a scheme for them to marry...on paper only...so he can get a promotion at work and at the same time get to increase her business. Even though she knows this is not a good idea she is always the one to help the other person before herself and gets manipulated into it. Little does she know she would meet someone just before and accept a dinner date and they would spark attraction. Daniel came out of nowhere. He was just the right someone for her. To her surprise he turns out to be Tyler's brother. Now what is she going to do! This one was a lot of crazy, a lot of lovely, and a lot of feels all rolled into one. Definitely the perfect book to curl up with on a hot and steamy summer afternoon!

You may kiss the groomsman is a great audiobook. I really enjoyed this book. Because it showed that love is not without work. Love is not a fairytale. Life sometimes gets in the way Many times it is us that put up the roadblocks

This is completely a stand alone, but also has the characters from Books 1 & 2, which is also great for updates.
A marriage of convenience for two close friends that aren’t in love. Enter groom’s brother that the bride falls head over heels for. What could go wrong?
I absolutely loved how the story developed and these leads. It’s my favorite in this series. Josie & Daniel are perfect for each other. Everyone knows. They know. But the obstacles between them…well that’s a little tricky & the way they fight through this very tricky situation is so lovely to read.

5 ⭐️s, HONESTLY! I finished it in one sitting!

Thank you, Samantha Chase, NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for my audiobook that’s narrated so well by Avery Reid. .

There is nothing that Josie would like more than to find a man she loves to share her life with but that hasn’t happened for her yet. This is the reason that when her friend Tyler suggests a mutually beneficial marriage which would benefit both their careers, she is considering the idea, but the situation quickly escalates out of control when he proposes in front of his family.

Daniel has his career as a Navy SEAL in his past and has returned home and is setting up a security business with a couple of his teammates. His first meeting with Josie was by chance and the sparks flew but their second meeting is when he sees her accepting the proposal from his brother and that is when the complications really begin.

Both Josie and Daniel are torn between their love for each other and their loyalty to their friends and although there was some angst along the way they must learn that following your heart is never a wrong decision. As always, the relationships between friends and families plays a huge role in this heartwarming story. I listened to an audio copy of this story and enjoyed the performance and pacing of the narrator as she brought the story to life.

Josie and Daniel are a delight. Chase shakes up the heart with humor while pushing emotions to their limit. You May Kiss the Groomsman feels like an unfinished love letter. It gives the heart something to hope for, yearns to be understood yet recognizing that there needs to be action. I Fall in love with love every time I step inside of a Samantha Chase fantasy.
