What a super fun book! The fun facts about each state (and territories too!) are easily written and are just the right amount of information to learn something new but not be overwhelmed! The activities are so fun and are just a perfect compliment to the factual side of things. The kids are learning and they don’t even know it!

This book is a lot of fun. It’s a great addition to add when children are learning about the different states.

Not only is this a great way for your child to learn state capitals state birds what makes the state special and other reasons the state is a standout it also has activity papers you can print out such as WordSearch colored the capitals ET see. I love this book and I’m definitely going to order the paperback version when my oldest daughter was three thanks for books like this she knew all her planets and at the time that even included Pluto and her state capitals kids love to make their parents proud in this book is a great way to do that and bond with your child at the same time I cannot say enough about books like this for children it has so many great benefits not just educationally but emotionally and helping your child feel like someone cares about them. I highly recommend this book it is a total five star accomplishment and one every parent and or grandparent shoulds own. I received this book from NetGalley and the author but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

Cue the wanderlust with ALL THE FUN ACTIVITIES! The bright and bold artistic style was a perfect match for how cool and interactive this book was. I learned SO much that I'd never known about each State and it wasn't the same old boring factoids that EVERYONE knows- the author did a great job researching unique and interesting facts. With each State you'll learn the flags, get a snippet of background/coolio info & state-specific facts (size/bird/flower/region/nickname, etc) and a different activity to complete. There were dot-to-dots, word searches, fill ins, creative coloring puzzles and SO MUCH MORE.

I know this was marketed more towards a 'travel' activity book but I would buy it and just sit down at home and learn all of it for fun. Would really recommend it, super informative and engaging!

So much fun. I have a child who loves learning anything about history. State history, world. Anything. And this was packed with facts and fun tidbits that my kids ate up! And I also learned a ton!

Perfect book to learn all about each state and territory in the US. Easy for young learners. I would definitely recommend this to teachers/parents of young children.

I thought that this was a fantastic book to read!

The illustrations were great and I loved how interactive the book was and the mix of puzzle from quizzes, joining the dots, crosswords, word searches and spot the difference

It was a great way of learning as it was fun too and it had all the basic details such as state capital, state flower, state bird and state nickname plus and excellent summary of some of the key facts at the start of each states section

It is 5 stars from me for this one – very highly recommended!

I would be lying if I said I still didn’t pride myself on being able to name every state and capitol. I digress, though. This one has it all: it’s colorful and captivating, has genuinely interesting and relevant fun facts and information about all fifty states, and is interactive, as well. From national parks, to vast cities, to beautiful views, and everything in between, this one will have you ready for a road trip. Taking my home state of Alabama as an example, this one has a fun code cracking activity, and discusses NASA, the Talladega Superspeedway, and the fact that in 1836, Alabama was the first state to declare Christmas a legal holiday. This one is pitch perfect.

This activity book was so cool! My kids had a lot of fun doing this book and it was a great introduction to them learning about all the states. While both my kids enjoyed it, it was definitely more geared toward my 8 year old. Some of the activities were a little difficult for my 6 year old. The information from the book wasn’t too in-depth to make them bored and it was just enough tidbits of different information to keep them wanting to go through all the pages in one sitting. This is a great activity book for kids! Would definitely recommend.

I voluntarily reviewed after receiving a free copy.

This is a cute little book about the 50 states. Contains a short blurb of facts and an activity to do for each state. Its a fine took for supplementary use in teaching kids the different states.

Thank you to Zeitgeist publishing for allowing me to review this ARC through netgalley

It has the requisites of a children's book to be fun and educational at the same time: nice activities and games such as letter soups, colouring, etc., and a good deal of facts about each of the 50 states, ordered alphabetically, some of which are known and others that aren't. Everything a child (and a few adults that might want to read for themselves, because there's a few of us who read children's books too) needs to know about each state is listed here, from size to population to state flower, bird, and nickname.

I liked the layout and the age-appropriate artwork, the simplicity as well, but I missed the inclusion of state mottoes, which should've been in the state facts segment but isn't. It would've been a good way to teach children about their meaning, I think.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the advanced reader copy of this informative and creative activity book about the United States. I read this book aloud to my son, a 5th grader who has spent the last 2 years going over the geography/history of all the states in his social studies classes. Like his Dad, he has an interest in nonfiction and loves maps or books about places he's never been. We really enjoyed reading this together, and discovering unusual facts about our country we didn't know. I would recommend to any youngster grammar school age. Loved the illustrations by Candela Ferrandez as well as all the games and activities, very age-appropriate.

So much fun to read and learn about the 50 states. I believe this would be a good tool for children learning about the 50 states. This would be very fun on a road trip when trying to find all 50 states on license plates. Overall I believe this would be a good learning tool for children.

This is a fantastic fact book, perfectly pitched at children to teach them all about the states of America. There are wonderfully engaging activities throughout the book, from colouring and quizzes, to codes and dot to dots. The facts are fun, interesting and written simply, so that children will not only understand, but enjoy their learning too.

Thank you to Zeitgeist, Z Kids and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review.

This is a great activity book for kids. I reviewed this with my 9-year old geography obsessed kid, and he really enjoyed reading through state-by-state. The info provided is short and to the point. It by no means provides any in -depth info on the states, but covers the high points. I like how each state has its own activities, but I will say that a lot of the activities are pretty basic. Good in that it allows plenty of activities for younger kids and plenty for older kids, it has really spanned the age groups, but by doing that, only about half the activities are relevant for my kid. not a deal breaker (and something positive if you have a family with kids of different ages!), but that was my only semi-complaint with this.

My children are in 1st and 2nd grade and just starting to really learn about the United States and different locations within our country. We haven't had a chance to travel too much the last few years due to COVID-19, but I was excited to review this book as we have a few trips planned for this summer. I really liked how the information was presented throughout, along with the various age-appropriate activities. I think the kids will be able to have a new grasp on our travels and what they might see along the way after looking through this book!

Fun with 50 States features lots of different activities surrounding all 50 states. There were word searches, fill in the blanks, lots to color. I loved all the fun facts about each state. Great for an elementary or middle school student.
