I would just like to say a big thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources for very kindly forwarding me an arc copy of this book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review.

This is book 2.5 in the Mermaid Point series and is a lovely little novella with only 122 pages, so is a nice quick read. As it reads it is an epilogue to books 1 and 2 and features a catch-up with characters from the first two books and also gives us a little teaser of what’s yet to come…
Christmas Surprises At Mermaids Point is set over Christmas and is perfect and festive, a lovely, heartwarming read and i absolutely loved my Christmas visit to Mermaids Point.

Christmas Surprises is a lovely way to join in with the new and familiar characters of Mermaids Point. We join them all as they prepare for the festive season.
The author wonderfully encompasses all you expect from a Christmas story, love, drama, romance, and family.
After reading, you are left with a warm glow.

I’ve not heard of the mermaids point books and as I read this as a stand-alone book I think I will go back and revisit the beginning as I feel I need to get the backstory. This was well written and has left me wanting to know more. Thank you netgalley for this free arc in exchange for an honest review.

Christmas Surprises at Mermaid Point is the third in a series and normally if I received such, I would quickly read books one and two to catch up on the backstory. However, I was limited on time so I couldn’t but I was just looking for a little holiday joy this would provide. I was very disappointed that I felt confused and lost in this novella. I also didn’t find that there was much of a story but rather a collage of events happening to characters previously introduced. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order.

This was a super cute and quick read since it was a novella. I found it entertaining and put me right in the Christmas spirit. But I will say it could've included a little bit more context and backstory if you hadn't read the other books in the series. But otherwise - I loved it!

Thank you to you Rachel at Random Resources for my invitation the tour and to Boldwood Books for my copy if the e book in return for a fair and honest review.

This gorgeous novella picks up where Nerissa and Tom left off in Autumn Dreams at Mermaid Point and they are struggling to find some time together. I love Sarah’s settings and the characters that she so skilfully crafts. I felt like I knew them and was pleased to be picking up the story where I had left it in the last book.

Alex is recovering from his marriage break up when his ex wife Jo turns up he is now a successful author and will he be swayed by her advance? There is plenty of romance and love in this short but Christmassy treat for fans of Sarah, perfect for cuddling up with on the lead up to Christmas.

This was a lovely novella, allowing us readers to catch up with some beloved characters and be introduced to even more. I was so happy to hear how everybody was doing and now I can't wait to read all about our two remaining couples!

I have to say, i was very very confused while reading this book because I did not know that it was a continuation of a previous story and setup for the next books in the series. I highly recommend you do not read this by itself and instead start with the first book.

The writing is good and the characters are interesting, I want to know more. But not a lot happens in the book so it really reads like a half story and setup.

So very satisfying! Especially when you just need a light bite of fiction in a time like the holidays when you don't have much free space for a heavier book but still want to sink into a lovely little treat, this novella checks all the boxes with its Christmas spirit, likeable characters and a wonderful sense of comfort. This is a charming little gem in this series.

This is the first book by Sarah Bennett that I have read and it was such a good one to start with.

It's a Christmas novella based in Mermaids Point. I enjoyed reading the different character's stories and getting to know them. I didn't realise there are another two books in this series and l look forward to reading them.

I would definitely recommend this as a lovely, quick Christmas read.

A novella sitting firmly between two prequels and two sequels thus it’s number 2.5 in The Mermaid Point Series. There are a lot of characters for such a short book so I think reading the earlier books would be a good idea. That said it was an charming cosy read for lovers of a Christmas book.

Briefly, there are five separate mini stories about a family and friends group of people all living in Mermaid Point. Decisions about who will spend Christmas with who and what will the New Year offer them.

A good quick easy read that was enough to make me want to read the series and find out the fates of the different characters. Very enjoyable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read.

Mermaids Point is a place I love to lose myself in, reuniting with old friends, preparing for new adventures… it’s like a warm hug on a cold day and warms you right through.

It felt a lot to keep up with due to the story following so many different people but you adjust once you get into it. It has left me eagerly anticipating the stories to come, I think we’re all in for a treat with those

This was a nice, Christmas story set in a small town that takes time to focus on the individual residents.

I haven't read the previous books and maybe I would have enjoyed it even more if I did, but it's still enjoyable if you've not read them.

If your looking for a cosy Christmas read in an afternoon or night in this is ideal.

For me, I just found the writing in this book didn't flow easily and it made it a little difficult to get through.

I gave it 3 stars ⭐

Thank you to Sarah Bennett, NetGalley & Boldwood books for an eArc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

As well as Christmas surprises, this story connects the two excellent stories that I've already read. Whilst giving the reader a taste of the angst and romance to come in this series. There are updates on the two couples featured in the two previous novels and the introduction of new but connected characters. The community spirit and uplifting ethos that define this series are evident, with a lovely festive twist.

I received a copy of this book from Boldwood Books via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I am so excited to get the chance to do a visit to Mermaids Point in the winter and over Christmas. This time in the form of a novella which felt like I’d made an overnight visit rather than a longer one – perfect for some quick escapism from my bed on a cold night.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I love Mermaids Point. As with all her communities and settings, Sarah has once again created a place where the reader feels welcome and part of the community. It feels like a place that I visit regularly and I know inside out.
What I love about this instalment is that it revisits Nerissa and Laurie form previous books in the linked series and delves a little into newer characters which fills me with hope that there are more Mermaids Point books to come next year (I’ve heard there are 2 more). It’s a great bridge and a good introduction to the characters for readers new to Mermaids Point.
I love the setting although I could feel the bitter winds and cold. I could almost taste the cakes and drinks at Laurie’s café.
Gorgeous characters with their entwined vignettes, a wonderful setting and whole dollop of community make Christmas Surprises a fab little escape from reality. I highly recommend this series.

Sarah Bennett's Mermaids Point is such a darling place to read about. And, this little novella was such a treat! Especially if you've read the previous books in the series.

We get to revisit some of the previous characters during Christmas time. Mermaids Point is even more magical during this time of year!

If you've read this series, I feel like you'd benefit from this little slice of life look at what's going on--with a few little glimpses of what may come. This is a series that I'll be sticking with as long as Ms. Bennett is writing them!

This was a perfect holiday novella for me in between two memoirs that I’ve recently read.

I have visited Mermaids Point with the first book in the series, SUMMER KISSES AT MERMAIDS POINT, which I really enjoyed.

This novella has a lot of characters in it from the seaside town of Mermaids Point. It comes from several of their perspectives and I wrote everyone’s names down and who was related or belonged to who to help me keep everyone straight in my mind.

This novella basically catches you up on what everyone in Mermaids Point is doing during the holiday season. I would call this one Mermaids Point Book 2.5.

You don’t need to have read the full length books to enjoy this one. In fact, I liked this because it gives you a little background on everyone and also gives a little foreshadowing on what will be happening in future books.

This is a read about a sweet town during the holidays. It’s a good jumping off point if you’ve never read the series or a welcome home if this is a series you already love.
