Beauty, money and the glitz of stardom with a bit of dangerous mob await Sheela as she escapes from the clutches of her aunt and the motel she has been forced to clean and the favors she has provided to the guests.

She learns how to use her beauty to gain her favors early on in life and it leads her to a life of luxury but at the cost of her body and soul. She goes from the brothel to the dangerous affair with the mob man with a price on his head, finally coming under the protection of a wealthy millionaire as his mistress. She meets her husband Julian as she is working as a showgirl in Manhattan.

It is not until she falls in love with Julian and has her daughter Fanny that she learns what life and love is all about. Her friend Alice is always around to help her when life gets tough and around for Fanny. Sadly, it is not to last as the mob once again appears.

Fanny and her mother have an estranged relationship with Fanny spending more time with Alice than with her mother. Her mother is lost in money and booze and Fanny is a lonely child.

The story continues and this is book two of a series. I am anxiously awaiting book three to find out what happens as Fanny grows into a young lady. Now I have to go back and read book one as I missed that it was a series. I know that this is a series that you will enjoy reading.

The story is full of sizzle, glitz, danger and a little love and romance mixed in . I would recommend this book .
