I find this picture book messy.

I understand that it's meant to be a find and seek game for children but the pages are so packed with objects randomly scattered that they resemble a teenager's room.
The copy tries to be cool and funny but the outcome is only a lot of unfinished sentences with dot-dot-dots, written in quite small fonts.

Thanks NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for this Advance Reading Copy.

This book will definitely be a new family favorite around the holidays and year round. It is engaging with find and seek games throughout and tells the cutest story of what Santa is doing the other 364 days of the year. From taking driving his fancy red race car, to eating healthy since he splurges on so many sweets for Christmas, and of course how he manages the naughty and nice list. The illustrations are adorable throughout and grabs the attention of young readers. Overall this book is fun for the whole family.

Part seek and find, part book about Santa's year, this book is jam packed full of fun illustrations and funny quips. Santa leads quite the life outside of Christmas night!

This is a wild, exuberant seek-and-find book about what Santa does in the off-season! Best suited to very small groups or one-on-one reads, the pictures are lively and detailed enough that the games of seek-and-find are very engrossing and fun! The text is full of rhyming words and expressive vocabulary, but definitely takes a backseat to the game.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read and review.

This is a super fun seek-and-find book. We learn what Santa does throughout the year. Each page has detailed illustrations and there are lists of things to find on each page.

Santa’s Year is a cute and fun book that explores what Santa does when it’s not Christmastime. The book begins with a series of prompts for things to look for in each illustration, which adds a fun additional element to this reading experience. Your child could find something new with each read.

The illustrations were my favorite parts of this book. Santa has a lot of different hobbies and the illustrations did a great job of showing all of the different collections/hobbies Santa has. Everything from making music to tinkering with his car to healthy cooking and baking. The illustrations were very in depth and colorful.

There was quite a bit of small text on each page, so this book is definitely better for older children. The big blocks of text were a bit distracting at times.

Thank you to NetGalley & Clavis for the eARC. This was a very cute book.

What does Santa do when it’s not Christmas? Well this book had a ton of adorable ideas! The pictures were so cute, and me and my kids got a good laugh out of all the zany things santa does when it’s not Christmas night!

My 6 year old especially loves look and find books, and this one has so many great hiding spots and kept him busy for such a long time! Can’t wait to buy this in print to keep up the search!
