Fun children's holiday read. I can see this being a family favourite. Really love the illustrations.

We all know what Santa does on Christmas night but what does Santa do the rest of the year? That's what Peter's "Santa's Year" hilariously takes on. He works out, he eats healthy, he spends time with friends.
This will be a fun addition to my Christmas book collection in my school library and the details in the illustrations are wonderful!

Love a fun holiday book and so do the kids. I have students who ask for Christmas books all year. This will be one they ad for.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Santas year is a fun book about what Santa gets up to throughout the rest of the year.
This was a fun read but I did find it a little all over the place. I thought it would be a story but it's more of a find and seek book.
This would be a fun book to do with your child on the run up to Christmas day.

I must admit, the fascination with Santa's life outside of Christmas confuses me. And it's not like this book really has a plot. It's essentially a list of things that Santa does. Still, there is plenty to look at on each page, dozens of details that will delight a sharp-eyed child.

If you are reading this book to just read it, this book is way too long. However, the best part of this book is that it is a ”seek and find” book. The end papers tell the reader what to look for and each page is so detailed, but such a fun chance to find all the images the artist swears are in the overall picture. This book was fun when it was interactive, but boring when just read as a story.

Santa's year covers what Santa dies when it's not Christmas. A topic kids are sure to love. The story is fun, and I enjoyed the hide and seek game in the illustrations.

This is a busy, detailed - jammed book that kids will delight in. Everyone is familiar with Santa but does he really work only at Christmas time? The answer is a resounding .... NOOOOO.... he engages in amazing activities all year long.

"Santa's Year" is both a story and a seek-and-find book. It also encourages eating healthy foods and getting proper sleep. It is full of humour and fun and celebrates the life of the Christmas rockstar... Santa Claus himself. I would have preferred the text to be a bit larger and the objects to be found highlighted on their corresponding page. This book will be a hit with both young and old and a favourite throughout ( and beyond ) the Christmas season. The artwork is astounding.

It may seem a little early to be thinking about Santa, but he's thinking about you all year.

Or, is he?

Find out in this juicy tell-all that exposes Santa's world to prying eyes and inquiring minds. Turns out, Santa's a fan of hot bubble baths, toolin' around in his Santa Racer, and jammin' to some groovy tunes. (There's never enough cowbell for Santa!)

The text is fun, and, thankfully, NOT rhyming, and the illustrations are, well. busy. This is really more of a seek-and-find than a storybook, with pages crammed full of cool goodies to uncover. Maybe this can keep the little ones occupied, and on the Nice List during those long days leading up to The Big Day.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this enlightening glance into the Big Guy's psyche.

What a wonderful book but be warned! This is one of those books that your child will want to have read to him or her everyday. This is not a bedtime story if you are on a schedule. There is just too much to look at along with search and find suggestions. You will be amazed at what Santa does all year and a little surprised to hear him advocate for lots of sleep and the importance of healthy foods. And, if you’ve never seen a reindeer in pajamas, Santa’s race car or Santa working out….well! Don’t miss out on this story. Based on my 5 year olds interest level, I would recommend 5 and up. Thank you to NetGalley for the ebook ARC in exchange for an honest review.

One of the age old questions (other than where teachers sleep!) is what Santa does all year. This charming book gives insight into just what Santa is doing the other 364 days.

My kids love the book.

There are rats that are eating on a back of a ladybug. Santa dancing wearing a tutu. There are a lot of things going on in each of the pages that my kids liked to explore.

The story itself was funny to my kids.

My daughter loved this book as she's a big fan of Where's Waldo? She had a lot of fun listening to the story and looking for all the things listed at front of the book. She loved looking for the calendar and the kitty cat drawing. I even loved the illustrations, there's so much details everywhere. Hello Beatles, Hello Michael Jordan autographed jersey.

First page of the book and I love it. Before the story starts there is a page with things for children to look for as they read such as how man basketballs can you find or which world objects do you recognize. This is great! The reader gets an inside look at what Santa does the rest of the year when he isn't delivering presents around the world. Santa is a busy guy, making toys, or fixing his car, and even eating healthy. Santa does find some time to take a vacation though and do nothing for a while. There are lots of things to look at and discuss in this book. It is amazing and I can't wait to share with some of my little friends.

What fun! The storyline in new and different with the eye-catching and very busy illustrations by Federico Van Lunter it's perfect for my grandson! The language of the text is suitable for reading with young people and excellent for those who are drawn to Where's Waldo? and graphic novels.
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Clavis Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!

I absolutely loved the illustrations in this book. They were captivating and entertaining. I thought the concept behind the idea was really cute, but I do feel like it was too wordy. I kept getting distracted while reading it.

We all know what Santa does at Christmas, but what does he do for the rest of the year? This book gives us an inside peek.
This book is both a story and a seek-and-find. Each page tells us something new about the rest of Santa’s year. I did love the writing - each page provided more insight into Santa’s life, and the illustrations were good, but what I didn’t like was that the seek-and-find activities were shown only in the beginning of the book and not on the corresponding pages. Children will have to flip back and forth to figure out what they are looking for, and I feel that some children will struggle with this. The first page which laid out the activities was a bit visually confusing. I liked the idea of blending a well-told story with a seek-and-find, but didn’t love the way it was laid out.

Santa’s year by Rik Peters is an adorable search and find with endearing illustrations and witty dialogue. The story leads readers through a typical year in Santa’s life and the different rooms in Santa’s home. Unlike other search and finds the difficulty to find each image rotates per page, allowing even the adults to pause and really look through the whimsical illustrations. As a Librarian who grew up with the Eye Spy series, I have a passion for activity books that allow children of all reading levels and abilities to spend time with a book. Love of reading comes from more then the actual words, the story and illustrations can inspire a lifelong love of books. I did not see a answer page at the end, but enjoyed the hunt and the other hidden surprises on each page. A terrific and fun read will be a hit among all the children and adults this holiday season. Thank you for offering this book as a Read Now option, I will be suggesting this title to my library!

This is a really funny, fantastic and eccentric children's book, which shows all of the things that Santa does throughout the year. It is hilarious and full of so much fun and joy. It made me laugh so much. The graphics are fantastic and there is so much detail in the book that it would keep a young one very busy indeed. My daughter loved looking at the graphics, but I think when she is older she will really be able to enjoy the book more and try to find all the items which are hidden in the pictures. I highly recommend this book, which is great!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
