This book was everything I needed it to be when I read it. While it had some heavier topics and family drama, it still felt light and sweet. Bold Love is book three in the Pine Ridge series, but easily read as a standalone.
The author did a wonderful job painting the picturesque small town of Pine Ridge. I felt like I was there and it really made me want to pack a bag and explore the Adirondacks for myself.
I enjoyed how Bee and Denny were so relatable. They both carried emotional scars from their childhood/family life and it contributed to their hesitance towards each other, but I felt that they had solid character growth and they helped each other to overcome what was holding them back.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves small town romances and flawed heroes.
Thank you to Berkley and Netgalley for the ARC of this book. All thoughts are my own.

I am such a fan of the Pine Ridge series. Each book has continued to get better and better. Lauren Accardo has created the coziest town in the Adirondack’s with the sweetest friend group/found family. Bee and Denny’s story was the perfect conclusion to this series. It’s forced proximity deliciousness. One of the things that Accardo has done extraordinary is navigating hard familial dynamics in each book. Both Denny and Bee have strained relationships with their parents and sibling and end up really leaning on each other to deal with those.
As much as Bee had a great character arc in this book, I found myself wanting more and more of Denny’s development. As a young, retired NFL player, he’s just the sweetest teddy bear. I’d say that there’s a hint of Grumpy/Sunshine in their dynamic, but really, they’re both just such loveable characters. I wished there was more to this book, because I just wanted to keep reading, Denny is so gone for Bee and the moment where Bee really, truly reciprocates those feeling is just perfect.
This was a pretty low-angst read, but still had a few moments to it, that just made it even better.
Lauren has quickly become a favourite author and I look forward to reading what she’s going to publish next!
Thanks to Berkley and NetGalley for an e-galley of this title. All opinions are my own.
