Complete opposites. That describes the characters Magdelena and Toby. Magdelena comes from a wealthy and chooses to work because she enjoys it-not because she has to. Toby is from a poor family and has to work to support the family because his father is sick. The story teaches about forgiveness, patience, faith and the author, Molly Jebber, does a good job intertwining these attributes within the storyline. I finished the book within 3 days, which is good for me because I am usually busy doing other things.

I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review and opinion.

Very well written and inviting. Magdelena's Choice was such a pleasure to read. Can't wait for more.

Synopsis: As the daughter of a wealthy rancher, Magdelena Beachy may not truly need her job at the Amish Charm Bakery, but she enjoys tending to customers, be they neighbors or curious Englischers. Only one thing would make life sweeter, and that’s if Toby Schlabach would court her. It’s not just his dimples and smile that warm Magdelena’s heart—she admires his kindness and values. Yet she worries their chance may slip away . . .

I honestly loved this book in all it's perspectives but some of it sort of fell flat for me.
Don't get me wrong I really love Jebber's stories but there was just something different about this one.
Toby and Magdelena were almost too perfect in my opinion.
I will say that I loved the beautiful messages that reminds us to be patient and to let God work things out in His timing not ours.
Needless to say that is NOT one of my virtues.
On a positive note I was really happy to be back in Charm again. I enjoyed catching up with old friends and making new ones especially Annie.
My heart really went out to her.
Zach is the one who I didn't like or Mark. I kind of thought those two went together at first until a friend made a difference.
I will say 4 stars simply because I thought the book was slow in some parts. Otherwise I liked it.
I also will say that book 1 will always be my favorite!
My thanks for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own and I was NOT required to write a positive review.

Magdalena’s Choice by Molly Jebber is such a great story of love, community, forgiveness and harmony. Her book tells a beautiful relatable story of standing up for what’s right and finding peace among the turmoil, and with prayer and patience even the most impossible outcomes can be turned around. Molly Jebber writes such lovable characters, that they feel like personal friends. This book will make you frustrated at times at certain character’s and their blindness, but will also restore your faith knowing that we serve a God that works everything out to the good if we pray about it, and have the patience to wait on His answers, then follow through! I throughly enjoyed reading Magdalena’s Choice and my praises for a story well written to Molly Jebber! Thank you!!

A nice romance between Magdelena and Toby. He is poor and is struggling with a dying father, so must help run the farm. She works in the bakery more for fun, since her family is stable. A good story, but did drag a bit for me in the middle. Would still recommend this one, as it was worth the read.
