Zanetti’s key characters are easy to like and yet, not just any person/s you’re likely to meet. She hasn’t disappointed me - her plot lines are tight and you just want more of where the characters are going.

You Can Run is the opening chapter of Rebecca Zanetti’s new series called Laurel Snow and man, what a series it seems to shape up to be! It opens with a bang – a former child genius and a start FBI profiler Laurel Snow is called home to WA by her mom when her uncle becomes a suspect in a serial killer case. She has no idea the uproar this case will bring along, personally and professionally … If you have read Rebecca’s books before then you are happy to find that this one is no way different! It is a masterful blend of mystery and suspense and a bit of romance and I love that this romance is not something splat in your face and over and done with when the book finishes … it is a slow burn and it reminds me of the real life and I cannot wait to see where Rebecca will take it.
So we have a serial killer, a star FBI profiler who never knew the story of her conception and who cannot read the social clues, a fish and wildlife officer with his own demons and past and who starts to feel something towards our FBI profiler, a fiercely intelligent witness that brings a long a twist you never expected and the magnificence of the Pacific Northwest wilderness where the dark and evil deeds are blanketed with killing snow … Welcome to Genesis Valley, Washington and be prepared never to leave!

A romantic suspense from Rebecca Zanetti cannot be missed!!!

Start to a new series, "You Can Run" introduces Laurel Snow, and I just fell in love with her character. Strong yet vulnerable, super smart and intelligent, yet she's her mother's daughter, caring, kind and loving. And you drop Huck Rivers in her life, and we get a great start to a series of suspense, mystery and romance.

Do not miss this book!

Laurel has just finished a case when she gets the call — a serial killer is hunting in her hometown and her uncle is a suspect. So of course she hurries home to find out what's going on and possibly solve the case. With little resources, she relies heavily on Huck and his 'team' and some new friends. And through their investigation, one name keeps popping up... Dr. Abigail Caine. Is she friend? Is she foe? And is she their best lead to catch the killer?

I really enjoyed the way this story twisted and turned. It was thrilling and scary and horrifying, but there were also elements of friendship, camaradie, humor, and warmth. I loved seeing Laurel's connection with her family. Her mom gave me such joy. And don't even get me started on what was happening between Laurel and Huck. Gimme more of that please!

The killer gave me chills, not gonna lie and I can always count on Zanetti to keep me guessing. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!

So I’m a big fan of romantic suspense and my favourite author is Karen Rose, I haven’t previously read any of Rebecca Zanetti’s work before and I can honestly say I’m a fan.

I love how she is able to create strong characters none of this weak willed heroin an independent woman who is intelligent and a go-getter in her own right pair that with an alpha male hero who has his own backstory and you have a perfect combination.

The story part has loads of plot twist is intriguing until the final page and basically a perfect start to what should be a fantastic new series to read so I definitely would really recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Karen Rose or anyone who isn’t

Interesting but not really my cup of tea. Well written I just personally couldn’t get into the story. My fault for not truly knowing that’s the book would fully be about. Predictable and honestly it was a struggle to keep my interest. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow returns home to find the serial killer lurking about in or near her hometown. Laurel is extremely intelligent with some interesting characteristics. In addition to the serial killer hunt, Laurel is also dealing with some family mystery aspects that may be linked to those same characteristics. I like that we got to know a bit on that and I’m hopeful more answers will be provided in future books in the series. The ending felt a bit rushed but overall this was a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review the book. All opinions are of my own.

Sorry for the late reviews. Covid all but one went down with it. 5 out of 6. More on another post

Rebecca Zanetti has the ability to write likeable characters who are just real enough to come to life on paper. Everything about Laurel will speak to readers heart with her abilities to track down killers to her connecting to Abigial Caine. The alpha male Huck is what you expect from the author.

The story moves quickly with no detail left out pulling reading into Laural Snows world.

Readers of romantic suspense readers who like a little serial killer will love You Can Run by Rebecca Zanetti.

Thank you to Netgalley for the advance copy of You Can Run

You Can Run is thrilling, entertaining and captivating! The characters are brilliantly crafted and amazingly complex with so many layers. The suspense was everything you hoped for and so much more. I love the “whodunit” aspect of the story and as soon as I think I had it all figured out, I am completely flabbergasted with a jaw-dropping revelation or two, or three! I couldn’t put the book down, and I didn’t want to!

Ms. Zanetti gives us a fresh new series with danger, subterfuge, lots of intrigue and a burning desire for the truth… in every form it takes. You’re definitely gonna want to put this on your TBR list. I cannot wait for the next book!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Wow, this book had so many twists and turns, and secrets that I was all over the place on who was the killer! It was hard to put this down when you started getting into the story and clues were revealed.

I know that this is the start of a new series but the end left me with so many questions! I can't wait for the next book.

It is hard to describe the book without giving away secrets that are important to the story so I will just say that I loved Laurel and the fact that she embraced her "strangeness" and didn't let other people influence her life. It was great how her mother was such a big factor in her life and shaped how she turned out.

Please have more in this series soon! I want to see what happens with Laurel and Huck, what happens with the mind games with Abigail, and love that she is going to be staying close to her mother. Seriously wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!

A story of deceit, betrayal, obsession and family, You Can Run is an edge of your seat thriller and a great start to this series. I recommend you grab your copy because this is a keeper and I will be looking to read the next installment.

Amazing! I loved every second of the first book in the Laurel Snow series by Rebecca Zanetti. Just when I thought I knew what was happening, I was thrown another curve ball and realised I was totally on the wrong track, exactly what I want in a suspense story.

Laurel is brilliant and her awkwardness made her really relatable. I was impressed with how she embraced her differences and didn't give them or others a second thought but that her family meant the world to her.

Huck was the epitome of a grumpy mountain man that had a protective streak a mile wide and it worked for him in every way.

This story will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way through and I can't wait for book 2 to be released!

I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. I have read many of Zanetti's works so knew this would be a good one and she did not disappoint! This was a first in series and I cannot wait for the next one. I loved the characters and all of their quirkiness.

This book follows two main characters, Laurel and Huck. Laurel is a very unique FBI agent; she is a profiler but also a genius with a very literal personality. Huck is a fish and wildlife agent but is the best tracker in the area. So when about 10 or so bodies of young, blonde female women are found on the mountain in Laurel's hometown, the two have to work together to try to find the killer. This killer may be closer to home than Laurel ever imagined as her true roots come to light.

This was a great read and I would definitely recommend. I loved Huck and Laurel's chemistry and cannot wait to see how their story plays out.

It’s a nail-biting tale of murder and betrayal, and it beautifully sets up the start of a new series that I very much look forward to reading.

Laurel Snow is super smart and excellent at solving cases for the FBI, but she is not good with people. When her mother calls to ask for her help, she drops everything to return to her hometown. Bodies were dislodged from the snowy mountain during an avalanche and Laurel’s uncle is a prime suspect. The FBI hastily assembles a local office for her, and Laurel gets help from a very reluctant and grumpy Huck Rivers. Huck has his own ghosts haunting him and together they try to navigate family drama, strange witnesses, and their growing attraction to each other.

The plot and the characters are introduced and expanded in a very timely and well-constructed manner. Laurel and Huck have many layers to them. They work well together, in the literal sense, but also as a couple. Dr. Abigail Caine is an extremely disturbing individual and she made my skin crawl. All the revelations about her and the identity of the murderer were a complete mystery to me until they were revealed. I always enjoy the way in which Rebecca Zanetti slowly exposes all the facts, keeping you at the edge of your seat. This book strongly brings up the question of nature versus nurture and makes you think.
I can definitely recommend it if you like romantic suspense, like me.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

RZ is an auto read author for me- I will read anything and everything she writes because she has never steered me wrong. This book is book 1 in a new romantic suspense series and having finished this one I can’t wait for the next one!

Our heroine is a profiler for the FBI finishing up a case when she gets a frantic call from her mother- her uncle is being accused of being a serial killer. Our heroine goes straight there to investigate and along with the help of our hero- a fish and wildlife officer, come across more bodies than originally found and are both drawn into a serial killer’s web.

As book 1 in a new series about the same heroine the romance itself was slow (but I’m hoping for more in following books). There was a lot of different layers added to this book other than the case and the romance which I’m looking forward to being further explored in later books. Great start to the series and looking forward to more.

As much as I love RZ, I couldn’t love this book. In fact it was a DNF for me which has only ever happened once before.

My main problem was the main character, Laurel, just isn’t related and she mostly irritated me. I understand that it’s the way she functions but I just couldn’t find it in me to like her or cheer her on.

The writing felt different to me and maybe it’s because I’m used to her other work but it feels almost alien to me. Like it isn’t RZ at all.

I really wanted to like it and finish it but I just couldn’t.
