This is the first book in Rebecca Zanetti's, Laurel Snow, romantic suspense series and what a thrill ride of a book it is. This book is a fast paced action filled book with adventure and a twist at every turn. Just when you think you have it all figured out something happens that changes that train off thought. The secondary characters are just as interesting as the main characters.

Once you start reading this book you won't want to put it down. I can't wait to find out in future books what Zanetti has in mind for these intriguing, mind blowing characters.

I read this book in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. Laurel Snow is an FBI consultant profiler who gets pulled into a serial killer case when her mom asks her to look into it. The authorities think her Uncle Carl might be the killer, but Laurel knows that's not true. To prove that, she needs to solve the crime and is directed to work with the Fish and Wildlife Captain, Huck Rivers, who has experience in the difficult terrain near the crime scene. Huck is grumpy and not thrilled to be working with a fed but Laurel grows on him. Together they work through a series of clues while the killer seems to be one step ahead of them. Secrets from Laurel's past come into play as the killer targets her. I highly recommended this romantic suspense thriller.

I just finished You Can Run, which I believe is the first book in a new series. Rebeca Zanetti is one of my go-to authors for romantic suspense and PNR. This story follows Laurel Snow, FBI Agent, as she travels home to work on a serial killer case in her home area. While working the case, she gets paired with Huck Rivers, a wildlife officer. Before she figures out the ultimate guy, she learns a lot about her background. There is a lot of suspense and a lot of potential bad buys. There is also a lot of action. Laurel and Huck definitely have a connection. While this story wraps up without a cliffhanger, there are a lot of questions about Laurel's personal life and the town. Looking forward to this new series!

Excellent book it has alot of fantastic twists in the plot and the characters are so real that you get ivested in them even though you aren't sure who the bad guy is. It's a good pace for the storyline you don't want to put it down and i love Laurel her attitude is just awesome and i love how smart she is. Definitely worth the read and hope there is going to be more from this group.

I am a pretty faithful Zanetti fan but this really felt like something very different! Laurel Snow is wonderfully nuanced and fascinating - brilliant and also aware of her flaws. (Her own mysterious past is a great storyline in itself!) I also really like Huck Rivers though! He is a growly, grumpy, loner with his own issues that he freely admits and is very clear about his needs in a relationship - lord I love some good communication!

I am fascinated where this found family series goes with the ongoing mysteries and character arcs! I don't usually settle for HFN and series that follow one couple for more than one book but I am very hooked and can't wait to see what happens next.

I received this ARC by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Once again Zanetti has created a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Well written, fast paced and plenty of action, so that you wouldn’t put it down. We are introduced to Laurel Snow a consultant profiler for the FBI. She is just going home to DC after doing a workshop when her mother calls to say that her Uncle Carl is in trouble and that the sheriff thinks he could be a serial killer. Laurel changes her plans and heads home to find out what kind of trouble her uncle is in and what she can do to solve the crime. While trying to solve this case, she meets Huck Rivers the fish and wildlife officer that guides her to the crime scene and then runs the joint team to catch this serial killer. Also, in interviewing possible witness we meet Dr. Abigail Caine who Laurel from the beginning feels distrust and something disturbing about this doctor. Read to see if Laurel solves this case and catches the serial killer; How does Dr. Abigail Caine fit into the picture? Grab a copy and find a warm, snuggly place to read and enjoy!

I loved this book immensely and cannot wait for the next one to come out! Every time I thought I had it figured out there was new information that changed everything. I was really hoping that Huck would stop being so stubborn, but I understand that is setting it up for future books. Laurel was a mix of naive and competent which I was very glad for the multiple points of view in order to fully see it.

Fast paced romantic suspense at its best!!! I couldn't put it down and stayed up half the night to finish reading this book. The characters were interesting and engaging and I quickly found myself immersed in their story. The author kept me guessing right up until the end - every time I thought I'd figured something out, she'd add a twist to surprise me.

If you enjoy the genre, you will love this novel and want to put it at the top of your TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Good book! of course I had to stay up late to finish this book! This book was awesome! I definitely enjoyed reading this one! This book had everything!! It had suspense, action, intrigue, murder, and a crazy serial killer! That also turned out a great who done it!! I was on the edge of my seat! I highly recommend reading this book! I hope there is more books like this one from this author! I've read a lot of her books and loved most of them , but this one is my top favorite! Laurel is a profiler for the FBI. She is extremely smart, different color eyes, and beautiful dark and red hair. Her mother calls her to tell her the cops think her uncle killed a bunch of women and dumped them off a cliff. Huck was a sniper in the military and now works for Fish and Wildlife. He does search and rescue along with his dog. He is a loner until he meets Laurel. Bodies just keep piling up and it’s a race to find the killer before he kills again. One leads them to a doctor Abigail who has become fixated on Laurel.

I know this is short but dang it I didn’t know what to write without giving anything away. 😫😫😫😫 Let me tell you, you will not be able to put it down. Action, secrets, and a wild ride. This is the first book in a new series and you really don’t want to miss it. If you read only one book this year..read this one.

This wasn't my usual type of read - but I do love Rebecaa Zanetti - so I gave it a shot! It is more on the mystery side of things - with a strong romantic element throughout. I think most readers who were alive in the 90s will get some <i>serious</i> Single White Female vibes from parts of this book.

Laurel is a genius - literally - she was a child prodigy and has grown up to be a profiler and special agent for the FBI. When her mother calls her to ask her to help with a situation with her uncle and a possible serial killer, Laurel drops everything to head home and help. I loved Laurel's character - she was fascinating in so many ways. Plus her even temperament really worked for the story. Especially amidst the chaos of what was happening.

Huck is a tracker and captain with the forestry and wildlife bureau. He has his own painful history that he is trying to live through - and his history definitely casts a broad shadow across the whole book.

I liked the pacing of the book and the overall mystery. The bad guys were not a surprise - but the way we get to the final scenes was still gripping. I didn't like all the unanswered questions and the lack of resolution of many things - I only figured out towards the end of the book that this was the start of a series similar to JD Robb or Janet Evanovich. It drove me INSANE that Laurel never really asked her mother or her uncle or the sheriff or anyone why they immediately put pressure on him for the murders. Like before the crime scene was even finished being investigated. I know why he was a suspect later - but its the beginning that I still question. Why? Sometimes they were asking really good questions as investigators - and other times I felt like they were not asking the obvious stuff.

Overall - it was a promising start to a series - especially if you love JD Robb-like books!

Laurel Snow is an FBI profiler called home when her uncle is a suspect in a murder. Bodies have been found on a snowy mountain, and Laurel will have to work with Fish & Wildlife Officer Huck Rivers to solve the case. Of course, as the case heats up so does her relationship with Huck. This book starts out slow with character introductions and eventually picks up speed and some steaminess in the middle. But ultimately, the story line was so unbelievable and frivolous. Much of the first half of the book details Laurel hiring an assistant whom she had just met and obsessing over the fact that her office had no furniture. There was also the introduction of a character who, like Laurel, was a child prodigy, and the two of them pretentiously use big words to prove their intelligence; they’re even called out on it by another character. The characters were flat, and there was very little back story to get the readers to care about them until near the end. This book was both too much (too many side story lines to build up to a series) and not enough (the use of Laurel’s uncle was just a device to get her there as he was barely a suspect, and the book was lacking in detail about both the case at hand and a build to a romantic relationship.)

A great start to a new series. Agent Laurel Snow is a FBI agent that hasn't got the best people skills she finds it easier to catch the worst of the worst instead of playing nice. When her Mother calls her to say that her uncle Carl is a suspect in a series of murders but Laurel knows that he just hasn't it in him to hurt others. She knows that she needs to go home to find out the truth. Her boss agrees that she can go home and to see what she can find out.
She needs to find Captain Huck Rivers of the Washington Fish & Wildlife to take her up to the murder site. He isn't what she was expecting and he is surprised by Laurel as well.
Can they work together to find the killer?
The sexual tension is very much around them but both of them know that this isn't the right time for a relationship. But can they work together without giving in to their needs?
When Laurel finds out the truth about why she looks so different and that she has a sister that she can't trust as she could be the killer. The more the team digs the stranger things become as the suspect pools keeps on growing.
Will they be able to find the killer before more women are killed?
A great read full of action and suspense. I can't wait to see what happens in future books.

This is the first book in a new series featuring FBI agent Laurel Snow. I found the main characters interesting and would read more books featuring them. I don't know how I feel about one of the supporting characters as she was a little too much.

Rebecca Zanetti's books have always been wildly hit-or-miss for me. I wanted to give YOU CAN'T RUN a fair try, mainly because it's the beginning of a new RS series. Zanetti did a fair job with the storyline; and a really good job with the characters, turning them from two-dimensional stereotypes to realistic people who leap off the page. The supporting cast and the list of suspects is every bit as rich. I especially enjoyed Aeneas, an exceptionally trained Karelian Bear Dog who had a unique personality.

The brutal winter climate and punishing terrain add to the tension in the story, to the point that the setting becomes a character itself. It was the perfect backdrop for this escalating serial killer thriller. And the subplots weaved into the main plot seamlessly, providing a satisfying conclusion. There are enough dangling threads and remaining characters to easily continue this series.

As long as the quality holds, this new series looks to be a winner.

This is the first book in a new series and I know there will be more books in this series as there were unanswered questions at the end. I loved everything about this book. The story line caught me from the start and there were surprising revelations that I was not expecting. I also loved the relationships and the secondary characters. Highly recommended
