Constance Verity kicks butt, attempts to understand her changing role in the universe, sorts out her relationships to the world, her friends, her boyfriend, and the sudden possible change in her status from hero to villain.

Martinez once again makes me care, laugh, cringe, and worry about Connie, her world, even her would-be assassins. A worthy finale (?) to the series.

That was fun! Wrapped the series up nicely! I just looked at the list of what this author has written over on the Fantastic Fiction website where they’re neatly on a single page and I’ve read all of his books over the years. I’ve enjoyed them all. They’re the kind of light, silly reading that puts a smile on your face. So, while I recommend this trilogy wholeheartedly if the description doesn’t quite appeal to you read the descriptions of his other books and try whichever sounds best to you! We could all use a chuckle and his books are good for that! On second thought I’m going to five star this one. I had fun reading this entire trilogy. It deserves rounding up for showing me a steadily good time throughout the three books.

I love A. Lee Martinez. He's one of my favorite authors and I have yet to read a book of his I disliked. His last two books focused on the character of Constance Verity- a woman who continuously saves the world, universe, small alien life forms, etc. This is the third (and I hear final) Constance Verity book.

The story involves Constance having to save the universe. Or maybe destroy it. Or both. Contance's life has been complicated and dramatic, but she always rises to the challenge with a quip and at least an idea of a plan. So how bad could things get?

This is a fun summation of the series. Plot threads introduced in the first two books continue and Constance faces yet another shift in perspective of her role in the universe. And there are cfrazy mad scientists, aliens, a kleptomaniac dog. and all sorts of other wacky characters and scenarios. Martinez always writes engaging stories, and this book is no different.

If you haven't read the first two books, go read them! Then read this! Then read other books by A. Lee Martinez!

Constance Verity Destroys the Universe by A. Lee Martinez. Martinez is back with the latest in Constance Verity, combining humor, past characters and a good story.
