A really feel good read. Flora was quirky and funny. I loved how the story unfolded and the description of the sleigh ride in Lapland made me want to try it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved "meeting" all the characters.

Put on your holiday Onesie and fuzzy socks, grab a fluffy blanket and some bikkies, maybe a mulled beverage and get comfy. You are going on a trip and a trip with Flora is unlike any other you have experienced.

Flora is truly one of a kind. She speaks before she thinks, has a million ideas zipping through her mind at the same time, and really wants to be a good friend to anyone who deserves kindness.
When on a date she asks what others consider inappropriate questions, so as not to waste time, and if you even think you want a future with her you had best know the names of ALL of Santa's reindeer.

The perfect job for her is finally within her grasp - at a Christmas themed mega store.
When she does what she feels is the only "right thing" to do, she learns that management is not as Christmas minded as Flora.
Coming home, she gets alarming news from her best friend and flatmate.
What's a girl to do but dream big! Take a risk, albeit, a bit forced, and follow that dream.

She finds herself in a foreign country with a language she doesn't speak or read, where she knows no one, and they even drive on the wrong side of the road. They foolishly consider it the right side.
The best friend she left behind gives her the advice to "Live like you are the heroine in a Hallmark movie."

Life is not a movie, Hallmark or otherwise. Life has consequences and obstacles and disappointments.
Can Flora overcome most of them and find her Hallmark Movie ending?
Along the way can she change the attitude of a grinch into something more festive?

You will enjoy your escape into the freezing wonder of Lapland. You may find yourself humming carols louder than you intended. In the end, you will be wearing a smile and believe in the magic of Christmas.

“Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop” by Rebecca Raisin is such a sweet and heartwarming festive read. I absolutely loved it.
Flora begins as a somewhat scatty but lovable person and in fact nothing changes by the end! You follow her new friendships and adventures as she tries her hardest to show the meaning of Christmas isn’t money oriented, but is about love and excitement.
A fabulous cast of characters, most of whom the reader will love, just one is unlikeable! I really felt like I knew them and would love to be their friends too.
I look forward to reading many more by Rebecca Raisin. Highly recommended.

Fun and romance in snowy Lapland. When Christmas-loving Flora gets fired from her dream job in a Christmas-themed shop, she buys a van and makes for Lapland, where she hopes to fit in as a Van Lifer. She falls in love with rugged outdoorsy Connor, who hates Christmas. Do they have enough in common to make it work?

This is the most perfect festive cosy book I have ever read! This will leave you wanting to put up you're tree and get into the festive season. Another great piece of escapism from Rebecca Raisin!

If you are looking for a festive book that's full of fun, then this is for you. We meet Flora who is obsessed with all things Christmassy & even uses this as a measuring stick to guage if a boyfriend is marriage material. But sadly for her, not everyone shares in her passion for her full on enthusiasm for Christmas. So what's a girl to do when luck isn't on her side as she loses her job, her boyfriend dumps her and her friend is moving abroad all at the same time? Buy a camper van & relocate to Lapland & sell all things Christmas that's what! Flora really is an interesting, fun, fiesty & likeable character and it was really enjoyable following her journey.

Flora is a delight! set on changing up her life she sets off to live "van life" in her travelling Christmas shop, joining others at a Lapland market full of characters (both kind and mean girl-esque) and the obligatory strong, silent and slightly hurt hero of the piece.
A sweet "will they wont they" story of snow, rivalry, chivalry and general grumpiness unfurl into something cosy and romantic....perfect for those dreary afternoons when you just cannot bring yourself to move!

Flora thinks she has found ‘the one’ but he said it was fun while it lasted but she is too kooky for him. It’s not all bad though as she has her dream job working in a Christmas Emporium - just a shame the boss could give Ebenezer Scrooge a run for his money. Apparently it’s not the done thing to use your own money to salvage a young girls hopes and by a gift to remember her dead mummy by and Flora finds herself fired. Could her life get any worse? Well of course it could these things happen in threes and her flatmate has landed a chance of a lifetime in LA!!!

Flora is out of ideas but then what starts off as a spark becomes reality and Flora flies to Lapland and buys a campervan and some Christmas stock and makes her way to the Christmas market to set up base. Along the way she meets Connor and kicks up a storm with some of the long-time van-lifers in the camp. What could be better for a self-confessed Christmas-aholic then several weeks at a Christmas market selling your wares.

This was a lovely book and just like all the other books in the series, the way the author writes makes you almost feel like you are there experiencing the sights, smells and sounds.

Flora loves Christmas, so much that when she is fired from her job and dumped by her boyfriend she decides to join the van life movement and set up shop in a Christmas market in Lapland, Finland. Enter Connor, the organizer of the market, big on environment protection, with a chip on his shoulder he considers Christmas and all of the waste it creates an abhorrence. Can Flora show Connor the beauty and magic of the holiday season?

Flora’s Traveling Christmas Shop was a whimsical and hilarious Holiday read which shows the magic of the season. We begin in London where Flora lives with her friend Liv. Flora comes across as eccentric and impulsive, always getting herself into trouble even though she has the intent to help. I was happy to see her transformation through the novel as she adjusted to van life and learned to not be as impulsive.

The witty banter between Flora and Conor was hilarious, and really helped build up their chemistry with each other. The festive setting in Lapland, Finland is the perfect backdrop as Flora gets to experience things from Dog Sledding to Gløgg. I couldn’t stop laughing at the Sauna scene (it isn’t Finland without a Sauna!). Flora finds herself in some absurd situations, which adds to the charm and hilarity of the book.

If you are looking for a whimsy rom-com that will show the magic and warmth of the season then I recommend this! It will warm you up on a chilly winter evening.

A festive, warm and wrapped in a hug kind of book. Perfect to get you into the mood for eating/drinking and being merry.

It’s time for mulled wine, magic and mince pies and eggnog …….
Flora, absolutely loves Christmas, working in a place called Deck the Halls where Christmas is all around her, she’s in heaven. That is until, her boss whose like a Christmas Scrooge, fires her. Her friend tells her that she’s now got a chance to follow her dreams, and the best place to begin that journey is and where Christmas begins…….

So, after much thinking, planning she’s on her way, to Lapland, in a campervan-cum-Christmas-shop. So looking forward to her days drinking hot chocolate and taking reindeer-drawn carriage rides, surrounded by snow.

She was expecting all that, but, one thing she wasn’t was, to meet Conor. For her, a Norse god, making her heart flutter. Flora loves Christmas and everything associated with it. But Connor hates Christmas, thinks she just a waste of time, money and buying stuff.

Flora thinks up a plan to change his mind, and him what a magical time Christmas can be. Will Flora manage to change his thinking – and finally find someone who can share her life?

Recommend it.

Pure holiday fun! This is a whimsical and romantic holiday story to enjoy.

“Can you name all of Santa’s reindeers?” That’s Flora’s surefire way of finding out whether a man is suitable or not for her. Flora has the greatest love for everything Christmas and wants everyone else to have that joy too. The problem is that most men think Flora is just plain kooky and quirky. Who wears Santa or Reindeer onesies when it’s not even Christmas?

When Flora loses her “dream” job of being a cashier in a Christmas shop for being too kind to customers, and then her best friend and roommate takes a job in the states, Flora decides she needs to make a change too. With her love of Christmas, she decides to join the Van Lifers, start a traveling Christmas Shop, and head to Lapland, Norway. Everyone knows that Lapland is where Santa lives. But that Hallmark ending that Flora is looking for will take some doing. First, arriving in the Christmas community in Lapland, Flora in her boisterous and eccentric ways finds that not everything she heard about the friendliness of van life is true although she soon finds friends. Secondly, even being her own boss, Flora has to answer to Connor, the manager of the community who although a hunky Norwegian, is a Grinch. He doesn’t even believe in Christmas and thinks Die Hard is a Christmas movie! With the help of her new friends, Flora makes it her mission to change his mind. She wants to help Conner find the joy and magic of Christmas and win his heart. Flora is looking for that Hallmark ending.

This is such a delightful read, with lots of giggles and at the absurd situations that Flora creates and finds herself in. It’s a true holiday romance about finding that magic again and believing in that joy. You discover that Christmas is more than about all the glittering lights and the shiny tinsel on the tree.

Many thanks to #netgalley #florastravelingchristmasshop #rebeccaraisin #harpercollins for the opportunity to read and review this book.

First of all... Die Hard IS a Christmas movie lol. I loved the concept of giving it all up and getting away from it all and was impressed at how well Flora coped with everything - it's a brave move. I did find her internal monologue rather frenetic and her entire life is based on complete strangers utterly willing to do things for her out of the goodness of their heart which is... convenient. I love Christmas and I love the idea of being able to infuse someone with the Christmas spirit and I really wanted to connect with Connor and Flora's romance but... whilst the meet-cute was there and the romantic dates were there, it just wasn't fully believable. I think we needed a bit more meeting in the middle on both sides. It was a feel-good book, but more on the friends side than the romance side. But we do leave them to it with grand plans which I hope means they get their happy ever after.

I love Rebecca Raisin’s books and this one certainly didn’t disappoint! I loved Flora and Connor and the whole atmosphere of the book. If you’re looking for a book with festive cheer, comical mishaps and a broody, grumpy love interest then look no further because this is perfect.

I really hope there will be more books in this ‘travelling’ series because I’ve really loved them all.

When I saw this clever cover, I knew I just had to have a copy of the book. When reading, I often try to come up with an adjective that describes the story. For this one, it's: FUN! Flora is a Christmas addict who always seeks jobs that will let her celebrate and encourage Christmas in some way. When she loses her job at a holiday store, she comes up with the idea to buy a used van and rive it to Lapland to set up her own Christmas shop. She's been labeled eccentric more than once, but that's charm of her personality. I laughed at all the trouble she seemed to get herself into.

I admit to being bothered by the frequent use of "your" when it should have been "you're'". But I did appreciate that the language was mild and not real offensive like so many books nowadays!

This is not my first Van Lifer read by Rebecca and it certainly did not disappoint!

In this story we meet Flora who's love of all things Christmas just shines off the page, she even works at a Christmas emporium but a turn of events and a grouchy boss sees her purchasing a van and travelling to a Christmas Market in Lapland, which sounds like an amazing place by the way if you don't mind being cold.

This is a community like no other, there's very friendly people around but no surprise there's also a mean girl, just to add some drama to the story. There is of course a leading man to add spark to the story and its Flora's task to change Connor's festive outlook. Of course the setting is magical and I was transported very quickly to Lapland.

'Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop' is about love, believing in the season and developing beautiful and special friendships. I give 'Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop' 5*/5* 😀

Thank you to HQ for an advanced copy of this book via Netgalley.

Flora feels there must be someone out there for her as so far her relationships end with her boyfriends wanting her to change her ways.
She eventually decides to move from London, buying a motor home which becomes her Christmas shop. A delightful book that transports you to Lapland at Christmas time. A real gem with romance along the way.
