I really enjoyed Flora’s adventures in her camper van and was very fond of Flora, as her love for Christmas is even greater than mine!
This is a really fun, feel good book and perfect for switching off from real life for a while, whilst you visit Lapland from your sofa.
Perfect to treat yourself with or gift a loved one for Christmas.

If you are looking for a heart-warming, schmaltzy, seasonal romance then Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop certainly fits the bill. The characters were endearing, the humour pleasingly subtle, and the pace engaging. Flora's escapades had me smiling and giggling, whilst her emotional vulnerability took me to the edge of tears.

Was the book perfect? No, but the sheer warmth and delight that it imbued made up for its very minor faults. The Flora we meet in the first few chapters was quite annoying, stubborn, and more than a little dense. It took rather a stretch of the imagination to believe she could move to another country and set up a market stall! Once Flora reached Finland I found her to be a much more amiable character, one I could warm to and get behind.

The story is told entirely from our heroines perspective, which did leave me unsure of Connor's feelings towards her, for a very long time. The clever use of different scenarios allowed us to see the type of person Connor was, but this is a romance and in that regard, it felt very one-sided. The story ended far too soon for me, I needed more time to experience the actual romance between Flora and Connor. Flora was not the most reliable of narrators, which didn't help matters, though the author did attempt to give us an insight into Connor's thoughts and feelings via conversations.

Whilst the whole story is about a Hallmark-crazy heroine getting her own Hallmark-style romance, I loved that the author didn't over-cook some aspects. For example, the conflict with Aine was kept fairly low key, used sparingly to avoid an overload of unnecessary angst. Hallmark movie without the kitsch. Flora, Connor, Noel the van and aurora have completely gotten me into the Christmas spirit.

This is one of my favourite Christmas reads this year, I always love a Christmas book, but this one stands out over the rest. I always enjoy a Rebecca Raisin story, but she’s definitely outdone herself this time. Flora is a heartwarming character, passionate about Christmas and meeting Conor who hates everything Christmas well you know there’s going to be drama and fun here, full of comedy, happiness and a lovely romance, this is just the perfect Christmas read, pull up a blanket, sit by the fire and fix yourself a cocoa, you will be guaranteed happiness and warmth on a cold winter night.

Any story set in a camper van will have my vote, this one sounds like a tardies with the amount of things that are put inside. A very cute winter romance to curl up with in front of the fire. Good charecters and location which all go to make this a wonderful easy read. A good one for grandma at Christmas.

First Christmas book of the year and a great one to get me in the Christmas spirit.

Flora was such a bright and eccentric character that you can easily picture in your mind. She speaks her mind and loves everything about Christmas. She embodies Christmas spirit and after everything going wrong with her life in London, being fired from a job, dumped by a boyfriend then her best friend moving across the world, she knew she had to do something to change her life.

It’s time die an adventure of being her own boss and going to a town she’s always wanted to sell Christmas items and life the van life.

She meets people along the way, including Connor who she makes the worst first impression when he helps her fix her broken down van. Come to find out he’s the one in charge of the Christmas market she will being selling at over the next 6 weeks.

I love how their relationship goes from hate, to friendship and eventually lovers. I always love a hate/love relationship especially a grumpy guy who needs someone to stir up his life. That’s exactly what Flora did for him.

Overall great read, loved the characters throughout the book. Only thing I wished was that it didn’t end so abruptly. All the build up to them getting together to have it be over in like 2 seconds was a let down. I feel like there should of been at least an epilogue where it is so much time on the future so we can check in on them. Or even adding another chapter of the following day.

I have read quite a few Christmas books so far this year and Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop is a standout. Not only is Flora’s character completely hilarious- she is also quirky, kind and totally Christmas obsessed.
I have never read a book about “van lifers” so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. While leaving your whole life behind to sell Christmas merchandise out of a van named Noel seems a bit out there, Flora makes the journey seem totally plausible and FUN!
This is a great romance for people who don’t enjoy the steam and prefer a genuine connection. Flora and Connor take the duration of the book to get to know each other but I loved watching them slowly fall for each other!
For a sweet Christmas read that is guaranteed to make you laugh- I highly recommend Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop!

Some girls invest in designer shoes, Flora invests in Christmas ornaments, which is why Flora is my kind of girl! The Christmas Village in Lapland sounded magical and the brewing romance (and hilarious missteps) between Flora and Conor was right up my alley. What a fun filled Christmas story with great side characters to boot.

Loved it, I thought Flora was hilarious, and would love to meet her in real life !
Flora is all things Christmas and after being dumped and losing her dream job in a Christmas shop she decides to buy a camper van and start selling Christmas ornaments etc herself. She manages to get a permit to go to a community Christmas market in Lapland for the Christmas period where she can live with other like-minded people.
Let's just say things don't go as smoothly as she would have liked from the start of her journey !
Loved it, didn't want to put it down

This was the perfect book and it really got me into the Christmas mood! I loved Flora as a character. She was passionate about the holidays and had the perfect amount of quirkiness. I couldn't stop laughing at the sauna parts because they reminded me of when I traveled to Finland for work and was in for quite the culture shock!

This was my first Rebecca Raisin book and I can't wait to read others.

This was the perfect feel good Christmas book! Flora loves all things Christmas, although she's not having the best start to the season. Just dumped and also losing her job at the Christmas shop (I got Last Christmas film vibes), she's at a bit of a loss as to what to do. I loved that Flora was so unapologetically herself.
This book has left me all warm and cosy ready for Christmas; I felt like I'd stepped right into a Hallmark film, and I'd definitely consider more by this author in the future. I'm honestly not sure I'll find a better Christmas book this year!

Flora loves Christmas so much she decides to buy a van and live the nomadic van life. She sells Christmas item from her van to other Christmas lovers. When she finds out Connor, the manager of the campground, hates everything Christmas, Flora makes it her mission to change Connor's mind. What follows is a hilarious adventures.

A really festive read, perfect to get into Christmas mood.
Flora is a unique character and even when sometimes I couldn't understand or liked her all the time, she’s a very interesting character. The thing I did not like about the book was that it felt too “insta-love” for me.
However, the overall result of the setting, story and characters was great, it was an enjoyable and cozy read and it made me want to go to Lapland. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Flora is this quirky, unpredictable, wonderfully loving, and kind woman who would love to celebrate Christmas year round. She’s been misunderstood by her family, exes, and employers her entire life, and she’s starting to wonder if she’s not truly the problem. So, with the encouragement of her best friend, she decides to set out and open up her own Christmas shop on wheels in Finland. Though she faces many bumps in the road, she keeps her head held high throughout it all in hopes to find herself, and maybe even love.

This is such a fun and funny, feel good Christmas book. I really enjoyed reading all about Festive Flora’s misadventures on her journey to self discovery and self acceptance. Her character has you cheering for her all the way while also laughing out loud at her various antics. Definitely a good, quick, and lighthearted read to get you into the holiday spirit!

Poor Flora she thinks she has found the perfect man in Luke, shared interests and she thinks she may love him. So when he asks her to have a chat she thinks he is going to ask her to take the relationship to the next level

I loved Flora she works in Christmas shop but does have a tendency to talk about future plans with potential new boyfriends. When Luke calls her eccentric she is surprised. Then she finds out that her best friend and housemate Livvie is going away.

Flora was close to her Nan who has passed away and she has really fond memories of their Christmases together. The final straw happens when she is fired from the Christmas shop and she needs to do something drastic.

This book is a christmassy joy, a great story full of hot chocolate and Christmas movies , it really is one to hunker down under a blanket and absorb in one sitting maybe with a tin of Quality Street!

Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop is a lovely light romance full of Christmassy feels. When Flora loses her dream job and then her boyfriend soon after, she makes the decision to take the plunge and try something new so off she goes to Lapland to try out festive van life. With plenty of comedic moments but also some stressful situations (but not too many!), this is a magical, easy read. Very highly recommended.

Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop is a perfect light romance to get the reader in the Christmas spirit. Flora is the ultimate Christmas fan. Her problem is that she was fired from her “perfect” job a Christmas shop. She had been unceremoniously dumped by yet another man and her lifelong friend was moving from London to LA. With not much to lose, but reckless abandon, she heads to Finland to become a “van lifer” and sets up shop in a Christmas van village. There, Flora sets out to live a real life Hallmark movie plot. Will she find it with the cynical, hunky manager of the village? It’s as fluffy as a powdery snow, but thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks to NetGalley for providing the Digital ARC..

I really enjoyed this book. It was my first read of author Rebecca Raisin and definitely won't be my last.

I loved Flora as a character. She was funny, clever, kind, empathetic and refreshingly direct - I loved that she has no filter and just says it as she thinks it.

This book is a laugh out loud account of Flora's journey from a plodding life in London that doesn't suit her at all to joining the "Van Life" movement in an effort to find a lifestyle more suited to her personality.

She manages to make a some enemies along the way because, let's face it, not everyone is going to cope with an 'out of the box' type of personality, but I think the friends she makes more than make up for that.

This book made me want to pack up my life and sign up for the "Van Life" straight away.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Am I glad I read it - absolutely, I loved it
Was it a waste of my time - not at all
Would I sit down and read it all over again - absolutely - in fact, I'd really like to listen to an audiobook version as I think this would be even funnier than reading it.
Would I read more by this author based on this book - yes, there are two other books in the Travelling Shop series by Rebecca Raisin published prior to this one and I intend to go and read them now.

This was a fun, quick read! Flora is following her dream to have her very own Christmas shop. And if it happens to be in a van in Lapland, well, all the better! I enjoyed this book.
