This book is set in a small town called Pineford in the USA.
Are protagonist is Sharmila Mitra, she travels from the UK to Pineford with her best friend Penny. She believes she has been gifted a Christmas holiday of her dreams and while there she has to completes 10 Christmas wishes set by the her and her families late  friend Thomas, this trip is to his home tow. This was all  in his will.

But really there is a lot more at stake, including her charity's money. The are 3 cousins trying to stop here fulfilling theses wishes but she doesn't notice.

This is a great debut novel, however it was way to heavy with Christmas reference and clichè. Every character was overly sweet and nice making it almost unbelievable.

I would however pick up another book by Ruby Busu novel, as long as it's not a Christmas one!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me a digital copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

This book will certainly get you in the Christmas spirit. You have a girl who lives in England, but grew up in India, come to the USA to celebrate Christmas at the request of an elderly gentleman she knew. She is surprised at the bequest, but is excited to experience a real American holiday. The elderly man's relatives misjudge her and think that she is a gold digger. With that assumption, the misunderstandings and hijinks begins. The book is funny, but carries a heartfelt message. Don't jump to conclusions and let people explain things to you. Very delightful read.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC for an honest review.

The perfect Christmas novel.
Full of intrigue and mystery with a lot of Christmas magic thrown in. I really enjoyed the story and the writing style and would recommend for a Christmas gift or your Christmas read.

Good easy to read Christmas novel.
Nothing was too unpredictable but generally a good read if you like Christmas romance.

My thanks to Netgalley for my copy of The Twelve Wishes of Christmas. This book had a great plot and a real feel good, festive feeling but I felt that a lot of the dialogue was wooden and everyone was just too two dimensional and 'nice'. This didn't spoil my enjoyment too much, just felt it could be improved on.

This was a very cute holiday story. I loved the setup of exploring a smalltown Christmas and it basically felt like I was watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. I would have loved to live this experience, it seemed like such a fun holiday treat!

Do you like Hallmark Movies? Yes? then you'll like this.

I adored this book it was such a great first book for the auhtor. Such a heartwarming story, and I was so intrigued by the wishlist concept and how sweet it was, and her getting a part of the company that the LI owns was just another fun little aspect. such a light and sweet holiday book, i definitely recommend for a feel good holiday romance.

Such a mixed feeling with this one.
On one hand it's a fast read cutesy Christmas themed book. If you're into cheesy Hallmark/Netflix Christmas films then this is a book for you.
But on the other hand it's all painfully predictable, characters are wooden and one-dimentional, everyone is just damn nice, loving and helping Sharmila 5 seconds after knowing her.
Yours truly can overlook many things but even she has her limits.
I'm giving it 3 stars just because when I started reading I felt like I have to finish, and that counts for something.

I had really high hopes for this book. The concept was really cute. But overall, this book just didn’t do it for me. When it comes to a Christmas Romance, I’m looking for a quick and easy read. With this book the chemistry of Sharmila and Zach seemed forced. There was no easy going banter. And the whole thing just moved a bit slow for me. It also didn’t help that the story had about as much heat as a Hallmark movie.

The supporting characters also didn’t feel very realistic or genuine. Everyone was a bit too kind and supportive.

Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me after making it over halfway. I’d hoped the story would pick up. But I just don’t think this one is for me.

Aaaahhhhh, what a delightful Christmas read and as some of the others have said, its a Hallmark movie in a book , and who doesn't love a cheesy Christmas movie?

Slightly cheesy, a Hallmark movie in book form. Not too deep but is a reasonable Christmas read. I can only give this 4 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this e ARC

Oh my goodness how lucky is main protagonist Sharmila being left a custom made Christmas holiday in a small US town?! Full of giggles, gorgeous men and gladness, this is definitely a story to make you smile and put you in the festive spirit. Sharmila finds out a lot about who she really is and develops her confidence whilst completing the 12 wishes task she’s been set and I enjoyed the fact that she is almost as clumsy as I am! A romance yes, but the book has much to say about community, giving and the true spirit of Christmas.

When I first saw this title on NetGalley I was so excited! I dont think I have seen any diverse Holiday books before. I wanted to read it right away.
Summary:
he’s here for the perfect Christmas escape…

When Sharmila discovers her late friend, Thomas, has gifted her the holiday of her dreams, she can’t pack her bags fast enough. Arriving in Pineford, it’s everything she’d ever hoped for and more.

But she’s in for another surprise, because Thomas has left her with one last request: if she completes his Christmas wish list of festive activities, her chosen charity will receive a big donation. Or so Sharmila thinks.

…He’s there to reclaim his family’s legacy

Little does she know, she’s set to inherit Thomas’s estate too, much to his nephew Zach’s disbelief. Determined not to see his family’s legacy left to a stranger, he’s come to Pineford to do whatever it takes to stop Sharmila from fulfilling that list.

When Sharmila and Zach meet, neither are prepared for sparks to fly. For Sharmila’s sworn off love, and Zach doesn’t trust her. But with every passing wish they find themselves growing closer. And amongst the twinkling town lights and fallen snow, Sharmila can feel her heart opening up to Zach. But when she learns he’s been keeping a secret from her, can Sharmila forgive him and get the happy-ever-after she’s always wished for this Christmas?
All the Christmas reads coming out are so fun and excited to read as many as I can!

A good, absolutely classic Christmas tale. I did really enjoy the book, which kept me turning the pages to find out what happened, even though I would say the ending was fairly predictable (but isn't that what you want for a cosy, heart warming Christmas story!). It was quite a different concept for a story and well thought out - who wouldn't want to move to Pineford and be part of that wonderful community?!

My only criticism would be that there seemed to be a lot of repeating of sentiment / thoughts / feelings with regards to Lucas and particularly, Zach. It became quite confusing at times and I didn't feel it was always necessary.

Anyway, a very enjoyable Christmas read. Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review, which is what I have given. .

This book was like a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form - a little cheesy and over the top in some parts but I enjoyed it anyways.

A lovely book which helps bring the true spirit of Christmas alive. The storybook American Christmas was told with all the activities you would expect to see. I love a Christmas movie and this was one in book form.

You hoped for the everyone to have their happy ending and for some they came true.

Lovely Christmas book. Sharmila has come to a small town Pineford to fulfill her 10 Christmas wishes that her friend Thomas has set for her. She doesn't realise that he has left her his home and several other things. His family try to stop her fulfilling these wishes.

Thanks to netgalley and publisher's for this arc copy for an unbiased review. Sharmila befriended an elderly Gentleman while helping in her Aunt's Tearoom. They discover they both a love of Christmas. Thomas is visiting England and soon becomes great friends with her Parents too. The story really begins when Sharmila receives tickets for a holiday in Pinefold to experience an American Christmas just like she always wanted after watching so many Christmas movies. So with her friend Penny they fly out for a Christmas they will never forget. She receives strange trearment from Lucas, Thomas's nephew and his friend Zach. Thomas has left instructions in his will for Sharmila to complete 12 tasks, if she succeeds in proving she has completed them all a large donation will be made to Charity. Friendships are made, a hint of romance and a lot of opposition from angry relatives. There are further wishes Sharmila is not aware of. I highly recommend this book.

'The Twelve Wishes of Christmas': 4⭐

(Unpaid Review: thank you to @netgalley, @rubybasu and the publishers for allowing me to read this eArc copy in exchange for a review.)

We all love a good Christmas story, they're heartwarming and emotional and we're here for it. This was no different. Reminds me a bit of 'The Holiday' movie, since the main character, Sharmila is given the holiday of her dreams and gets there to do a few things on her list.

Really sweet and fluffy, the perfect read for a rainy day by the fireplace!
