The book was entertaining. Fans of Grey's Anatomy or any of the Shondaland series would appreciate stories like this.

I love a medical romance, full of fluff and humor. And I loved this one!
Stella, the protagonist, is an amazing main characther - she is hilarious, quirky, relatable and so so sweet.
The worldbuidling, mostly the hospital environment, was just what you'd picture for a fiction story and it's described and written so well, it basically feels like you're watching a movie.
This book has something of a love triangle, and I tend to dislike those. But this book did it well enough! Team Travis all the way!
While this book is an adult romance, it lacks spicy scenes, which don't matter to me. I 'm appreciative though, because it seemed like adding sex scenes in this book would've just taken the reader out of the story. I like the fact that the book concentrated more on the building of the relationship, fun and laughter, instead of smut (and no shame to smut readers! I am one myself!).
It's a short fun read and I would definitely recommend it! I wished it was longer though, for sure!

Stella had big plans to move to Monroe and build her career as a nurse. She had no time for a super hot neighbor or a super hot doctor, and her career isn’t what she hoped it would be with bitchy co-workers and little to no mentoring. Her plans were falling apart.

Stella is a bit of a fish out of water with her new job at Atlas Memorial Hospital. Her week started with stumbling into hot men, puking at the sight of her first dead body, and being ridiculed by some nasty women, but she fumbles on in her delightfully quirky way. She is also very focused on her career as she dodges flirty, sexy men with issues of their own. If only, right?

Travis is her extroverted and kind neighbor who wants to be more than friends with her, but she’s not into casual relationships. And Ryan is a doctor in training who kindly helps her get her bearings at work, but needs to get over his ex who happens to work at the hospital, too. Whether you are team Travis or team Ryan, I believe she chose wisely. Surely, you don’t think I’m not going to tell you who she picks? 😉

I absolutely enjoyed this fun rom-com with a bit of a love triangle. It gives a realistic portrayal of working in a busy hospital and dealing with the long hours, unruly patients, and a multitude of good and bad co-workers. I only wish the story was longer.

Thank you to Ms. Harper for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

Stella has wanted to leave her small hometown for the city for years, but a college scholarship and a bad dorm experience had her living at home until she has her degree. She’s just passed her nursing boards and landed her dream job at a big city hospital and can’t wait. Her own apartment and exciting new job will finally make her feel like an adult and she couldn’t be happier.

Until she gets to work, then everything goes downhill. Her preceptor is a terrible teacher, she’s bullied by other nurses and there’s a specific medical intern who has set out to make her life hell on earth. At least she can distract herself with two very fine male specimens who’ve just come into her life. Except she can’t because hottie doctor Ryan has some sort of codependent relationship with one of her bullies and sexy neighbor Travis doesn’t believe in monogamy.

Stella is awesome and so funny. I kept picturing Dr. Elliot Reed from the first season of Scrubs, losing her stuff in a janitor’s closet or having a breakdown in the cafeteria. No matter how humiliated she might feel, Stella always holds her head up high and stands up for herself. I waffled from team Ryan to team Travis but was relieved that she ultimately ended up with the right guy, because the other one just wasn’t good enough for her. This is a lighthearted romantic comedy that’s definitely worth a read.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eBook. This review is completely my own opinion. Love, Lust, & Saving Lives? More like lacking, lacking, and more lacking. I was expecting a full-on romance with a slight medical plot or a full-on medical plot with a slight romance and instead got the story of a horny girl having a mid-life crisis. I didn't have high expectations going into this book but even those small expectations were crushed by the pure boredom I felt while reading this. It literally felt all over the place, jumping from one plot point to the next, and none of it was relatable.

This was a surprisingly quick, fun read! I am a big fan of medical dramas and medical romance, so I didn't think twice before I grabbed the book.
Stella Reynolds has just graduated in nursing and has got into a prestigious residency program inAtlas Memorial Hospital in Monroe. Stella comes from a small town Enid and an absolutely normal family- she is very easy to relate to especially if you remember your own transition from college to real workplace and all the worries and anxiety associated to it. Our sweet Stella has not one, but two love interests and I honestly couldn't decide which one I wanted her to end up with- a handsome firefighter/paramedic or a sexy doctor. I don't mind love triangles as much as I other readers do-I think they make for interesting dilemmas and realistic life choices.
The pace was great and, to my regret, I finished the book in no time at all. The hospital scenes were very engaging and I hope this is the beginning of a new series. I would certainly love to read more from this author.

The book is surprisingly fast-paced and fun to read. I actually binge read this book overnight. The moment I start to read, I’ve had trouble putting it down. It actually feels like watching a movie rather than reading a book. I can visualize the scenes in my mind while reading. The reading process is engaging since the love triangle trope leads me to the feeling of enjoyment as if I am in a competitive sports – rooting for the perfect match who’ll win the main character’s heart.

It’s definitely a feel good book to read!

Special thanks to @netgalley and Southside Mountain Press for this opportunity to read an eARC in exchange for an honest review. Not to mention, there’s a bonus sneak peek of Krista Harper’s latest novel, Return to Summer.
