That ending was so good. I both predicted and loved what the last lines of the book were. All in all, much more engaging and enjoyable than the second book for me.

Also, I still totally think Hypnos is aro(spec) and nothing in this book refuted that.

I received a copy of this book as an eARC audiobook from Netgalley. All opinions are my own!

With the crew fractured and only a handful of hints and a dash of hope, Severin and his friends must find their way back to each other or risk fracturing the world.

Where do I start with how much this book devastated me and left my heart full of love at the same time?? If there was any perfect way this story could have ended, this book was certainly it. I cannot contain my love for these characters and their stories.

This book did such an absolutely amazing job with their character development. Literally every character learned who they wanted to be and what they wanted from the world. They were broken down and stripped bare and it was in those pieces that they found themselves again.

And don't even get me started on the world that was built in these books. Everything about the magic system and the history just added to the dazzling beauty of the characters' minds and stories. There were plot twists that left me gaping and romace that left me smiling and sorrow that left me crying. This book had everything that I needed and more. It gave me things I didn't even know I needed.

This book was an absolutely astounding conclusion to an utterly amazing series.

If you like history, heists, and magic, please pick this series up! You will not regret it!

WHAT AN ENDING to such a lush and beautiful series. I truly wasn't sure how this would end but I was blown away by the pacing, the tenderness for these characters, and the hopeful yet sad tone throughout. As someone who met these characters through audiobook form, getting to end my time with them with the help of these talented narrators was such a treat.

I listened to the audiobook ARC of this one, and I can honestly say that I would have probably had a higher rating if I had read the physical book or the ebook, which is ok. For the most part, I was cool with the audio format, but the male narrator made it a really big challenge to enjoy it more. He uses this monotone inflection in his voice when narrating and doesn't really put any emotion in his voice unless he's reading dialogue. It really really irked me. I didn't like him at all. The female narrator was MUCH better and I kind of wish she'd narrated the whole thing.
That being said, the rating I am giving is for the story, because Roshani Chokshi is such an immaculate storyteller and I didn't want a crummy narrator to get in the way of how I viewed the work itself. THE BRONZED BEASTS is a powerfully emotional finale to the story that began in THE GILDED WOLVES, one where our heroes are left in the aftermath of Severin's betrayal and try to move forward to save one of their own. I love love love the character and relationship development with Severin and Laila in this one, how they both struggle to come to grips with the lengths they would go for each other and the real sense of hurt and betrayal that lingers after THE SILVERED SERPENTS. And I also appreciated how Severin, who felt as if he acted in the right, had to make amends to the entire group as they try and protect the lyre from those who would use it for their own ends. And that ending! What was that? It was absolutely breathtaking and devastating, yet very satisfying and bittersweet how Chokshi leaves our favorites in this one. THE BRONZED BEASTS is a story about the lengths we would go to protect the ones we love, and the possible costs associated therein.

Advanced Reader’s Copy provided by NetGalley, Macmillan Audio, and Macmillan Young Listeners in exchange for an honest review.

I'm always nervous going into the final book in a series because I worry about how the author will wrap everything up. Will everything be resolved/answered? Will I LIKE how everything turns out? Will it leave things open ended? These thoughts were going through my head as I started THE BRONZED BEASTS wondering how Chokshi would end The Gilded Wolves series.

Could Séverin redeem himself after betraying his friends? Would Laila be saved before she was unmade? How would the Divine Lyre storyline play out? Without giving anything away, let me assure you that Chokshi wraps up lose ends and this is a very satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.

Hypnos still makes me laugh, and I loved the storyline between Enrique and Zofia. I thought the final quest and battle were interesting and I really enjoyed being back in this world of forged objects, secret societies, and mythology coming to life.

Laurie Catherine Winkel and P. J. Ochlan do a phenomenal job with the audiobook narration once again (I believe they've done the audiobooks for the entire series).

The Bronzed Beasts was a beautiful and satisfying end to one of the most intriguing and compelling young adult trilogies out there. Roshani Chokshi has created a world rich with history, mythology, and magic and upon seeing it to completion, I genuinely can't think of another series that quite compares to it. As with the past audiobooks, P.J. Ochlan and Laurie Catherine Winkel did a lovely job bringing this story to life and if you have access to the audiobook for this series, I'd highly recommend giving it a shot. Perfect for readers looking for a series that walks the line between Six of Crows and Percy Jackson, but which stands uniquely on its own.

I loved this series. And this was a beautiful end to it. Well done. I have nothing negative to say about it. I laughed, I cried, I throughly enjoyed it.

This is how you end a trilogy! The whole series is fantastic and engrossing, and the conclusion is bittersweet, suspenseful and makes perfect sense. All the characters have evolved and grown and the world they live in has changed with them. When we last saw them, Laila thought that Séverin had betrayed them and destroyed the one means he left to reconnect so at first it doesn’t look promising. The crew is hurting but this has made them even more resourceful and determined. This is another treasure hunt, but this time they’re searching for the most important thing of all, Laila’s continued existence. The world building is as strong as we’re used to, and you really feel like you’re in the middle of these streets and palaces. The action is non-stop and the plot as addictive as cloves are to Séverin. But what I love the most are these characters. I was really rooting for them and hurting along with them. The importance of character development makes a strong audiobook performance extremely crucial and Laurie Catherine Winkel and P. J. Ochlan do not disappoint. I liked how their accents sound realistic and Séverin really sounded like my brother-in-law (who is French). I’m just sad that the story is over. I wish I could spend more time with Enrique’s historical facts, Zofia’s inventions, Hypnos’ humor and Leila and Séverin’s love story.
I chose to listen to this audiobook and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. Thank you, NetGalley/Macmillan Audio!

No spoilers.

This is a brilliant series that kept pushing the boundaries and never pulled a punch right up to the very end. I will thoroughly miss these characters and this series. And I still love Roshani Chokshi despite her thinking she has the right to rip my heart out and rake it through the mud.
