A beautiful Christmassy read, which I've come to expect from Katie Ginger's work. But, this one is slightly more slow paced than her other books, and I felt not as invested or engaged with this one.

Another feel-good story from Katie Ginger. I always love small-town stories. So this was a perfect read. However, I did feel it was rather slow-paced compared authors' other novel - The Little Library on Cherry Lane.

A really fun Christmas read. The story of Bella and the Giving Tree she sets up for those less fortunate at Christmas. Tackles lots of emotional issues including bullying, broken hearts and adultery and how families are affected. It's all done in a sensitive way, with lots of fun along the way. The story of a community pulling together and of family. The perfect Christmas read.

I really like the idea behind the story. I have to say that the author does such a great job with the details and descriptions, I can almost give it 10 stars just for that! For me, it just took a while to get to the “love” portion of the story. I felt like, about halfway through, that I had so many details but I wasn’t as drawn into the web story because it took so long to get there. Overall, a good story, I just wish that there were a few extra nuggets of teasers along the way..

I absolutely adored this book! So Christmassy and heartwarming. Bella and Nicks story was full of ups and downs and had me hooked from the start. I adored the other characters too, Bella’s family especially as they seemed so fun. This book was everything a good romance novel should be.

A nice romantic novel that gives you a wonderfully festive, warm feeling. The characters are wonderful and the idea of a Christmas giving tree shows how people in a community can be brought together. Katie brought out the personality in the characters and you soon start rooting for them.

What an heartwarming romantic story, like reading a Christmas movie, which I absolutely love.

A really lovely feel-good book. Genuine and believable characters in a storyline that is filled with family, friendship, festivities and finding a way to mend three broken hearts.
I really enjoyed this book, and Katie Ginger is fast becoming one of my favourite authors.
A perfect read for snuggling up on cold winters nights or chilly days.

A sweet 2nd chance at love story for Bella and Nick. She is a teacher and he is a landscape architect. They live next to each other, and she sees his sweet 9 year old being bullied at school, and he sees that her ex-boyfriend has run off with someone else after 5 years of being together. Nick can relate, as his wife left him and their little boy Freddie for another man 6 months prior. Sparks fly, and the holiday spirit helps. I enjoyed this one, although at times felt a bit rushed. Still though, would recommend, and like how Bella reaches out to all students. Fun read.

Another book I usually wouldn't go for. But I am so glad I did. I adored this book. The Characters were both relatable and likeable. The story was very well written. I still see the Christmas tree now when I think back to this book, and the little village. Such a lovely, heartwarming story. A perfect Christmas read. 10/10

Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I read so many Christmas books last year that I still reading them into January! For me personally, this isn't an issue as I love a festive book any time of the year.

This book ticked lots of boxes, a cute Christmas postcard image on the front of the book, set in a beautiful village with amazing scenery, a close knit community with a sweet romance centred around the festive period. It was a really sweet read and I managed to get through it in one sitting.

The book is heartwarming as is Bella our main character I was rooting for her from the beginning. Nick I didn't like quite as much but I was hoping that everything would work out right for them in the end. And the idea of a giving tree was beautiful really showing the true spirit of Christmas. Which is the feeling this book gave me.

It is the first book I have read by Katie Ginger but I will definitely look out for her works in the future.

I really loved Bella and Nick as characters, and the way their relationship grew. I thought that Bella’s idea for a village wishing tree was really sweet, and between that and the mini subplot about some school bullying I found some parts of the book really moving. And it definitely felt festive – the visit to see the decorations in London, the Christmas markets at the park, the scenes where we see Beth and her family preparing for Christmas, and of course the school Christmas play were all chestnut roastingly Christmas swoon worthy.

I received this book via netgalley as an ARC. It is the first book written by this author that I have read. It is of a type - i.e. a charming holiday story with a bit of romance, christmas cheer and moral uncertainty thrown in. It is well written and the setting of school and charming village with a winter wonderland. The Perfect book to curl up with on a cold winter's day in front of the fire. For me this type of book is enjoyable but lacks a certain depth that would make them more memorable

This was a ‘good’ read. However I was expecting to like it more than I did. Unfortunately I didn’t feel it was as good as the other novels I’d read by this author but having said that I enjoyed it all the same. I just felt that Bella was a bit of a walkover.
