A book about middle age, possibilities, choices, and relationships. Starting with a legacy from her parents, Laura picks up the pieces and examines her future in light of others' expectations. Gradually she begins making decisions that are based on her own values and goals.

An interesting story that will get you thinking about where your own life is going - whether it is drifting or driven or gently being steered in a worthy direction.

This was a good story. I enjoyed reading it but I didn't know it was part of a series so I did feel like I was missing something which took away from the story for me. I finished it yesterday. I enjoyed the story-line especially the search for the missing painting.  It was exciting to read to see if she could get it back and what she finds out along the way was shocking in places. I actually rate this book a 3.5 star . If your a horse book fan then this is for you as it contains riders and there is great fun at the races. It was a slow paced Woman's fiction that turn into an excited mystery. If you have kindle unlimited it's on there so it costs nothing to give it a go. Remember what is a 3.5 star read for me might be a perfect 5 star book for you.  Always try and support indie authors wherever you can.  This is book 2 of the happiness and other chores series

Many thanks to the author and publishing team for allowing me to enjoy this book.

The girls are back for a new adventure. I loved book one so when i saw this was up. I had to pick it up and i wasn't disappointed with new twists and turns and surprises. Beyond the thrill will leave you reading till the last page.

I thought the outline for this book was good, unfortunately I found the pace slow and I was left feeling bogged down. There seemed to be too much ‘dwelling’ on detail and I didn’t really connect with the storyline.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I think this would've worked so much better if, like one of the comp titles, this had been an adult (or at least new adult) novel. I think so much of what I struggled with, or found hard to believe, could have been easier to swallow if this had been aged up.

That said, I really enjoyed the first half of the story.
