This was a fun one for fans of Minecraft or video games. It was a joyous ride from beginning to end.

I listened to this one with my 5 and 7 year old Minecraft loving sons. We listened over the course of several car rides and it was a great book to keep them engaged and occupied in the car. They enjoyed the adventures and the stories. They have read and listened to other Minecraft books, but we were not up to date in this series before beginning this book. Ultimately, the book referenced the previous adventures/missions/characters often, but it worked out fine for my kids to listen to this out of order.
The only down-side to listening versus reading is that occasionally it would say they were drawing a picture or leaving a map and my boys asked to see it which obviously wasn't an option.

They say to give it all the possible stars so 5 stars it is.

My son and I both love the series. It was fun to get to listen to an audio version after having read it so many times.

I have not read the previous books in the series. Also I have only watched my friends play Minecraft. However, this audiobook was full of adventure with humor. Having some knowledge of the Minecraft game helped in picturing what was going on. I would like to read the complete series now.
