Katie is set on trying to get her husband's special familiar and protector back to Declan, even if that means attempting to walk in the other side herself without a guide, or tether. But, before the night she has selected for the special ceremony another murder complicates her life again. The spell book club is once more called to seek answers and help someone as a murderer is walking around.

This is one of the better cozy/paranormal mysteries I’ve read lately. It’s part of a series which I haven’t read before, but I had no trouble dropping into this entry. The characters are likable, there’s a decent amount of diversity amongst them, the setting (Savannah) is luscious and trendy, and the story kept me engaged.

This will make for a quick, enjoyable read on a lazy weekend afternoon.

Savannah hedgewitch and baker, Katie Lightfoot, decides to learn a little more about the supernatural city she lives in, so she takes a local ghost tour. It was supposed to be fun, but when the tour guide tells her that the ghost of a murdered woman is following Katie, she’s alarmed. Katie remembers meeting the woman earlier that day and decides she must avenge the woman’s death by finding the killer. This is a fun, cozy mystery set in the Holy City
