While we may not be able to control what happens, we can control how we react, think, and feel. Choose to thrive not just survive. Another wonderful read by the one and only Joel Osteen. Wonderful, uplifting stories to help you rule your day. Loved it!

Joel Osteen's new book Rule Your Day is an uplifting, inspiring and reminder that we need to keep looking for guidance and keep positive words flowing in our lives. Using examples from the bible and the people that God has spoken to and aided over the centuries, we're shown how speaking God's promises over our lives can keep us feeling blessed and reassured even in our darkness times. Joel has written an excellent inspirational and purpose driven book, especially for such a time as this. It is arranged around the spirit man and real life situations, which is also supported by scriptures. A great gift for anyone needing to refocus on their God given purpose/talent with a view of reaching their destiny.
The writer also encouraged individuals to avoid negativity, distractions and focus on what matters most. We should not waste time being worried about what other people think about you and that we should set our face and run our race in order to reach our destiny.
He points out the need to stay emotionally healthy so that we are in a better place to help others reach their destiny. The writer reminded us that Joseph understood the biblical principle and that we should follow the principle as well because while you are helping others, God is working/solving your. problem.; God will ensure that you are blessed as well as shine.
When you say and do things that are good and helpful to others this will no doubt determine the direction you go..
Joel is unflinchingly honest, as most times you see yourself or someone you know in these words.

So, if you are looking to better understand positive growth/mindset that can change the trajectory of your life, its important that you read Joel Osteen’s “Rule Your Day.

I love this book. I love anything by Joel Osteen. His books are so uplifting and Christ focused. I also listen to him on his SiriusXM station. This book focuses on how you control your thoughts and you can stop listening to the bad stuff. Filter the bad and focus on the good and know that God is in control. He made you so you are wanted and loved.

I was part of Joel Osteen's book launch team...the advice given in this book has renewed in me that I am in control of how I react to life. Are bad things going to happen? Yes. Will there be disappointments? Yes. Will people not like me? Yes. It is how I react to such that can and does effect how I am. What I dwell on, whether in what I watch on tv or read affect how I view life. I can say, woe is me, and become depressed, sad and down on myself. I can not control what goes on around me, but I can choose to take control of what I let into my spirit. We are what we say to ourselves. I didn't let the diagnosis of cancer define who I was. I choose to rise above and overcome. Rule Your Day...gives us the keys to do just that. We can not do this life alone. God wants the best for us. My take away from the book is when Joel says, "Dont ever meet with people before you meet with God." God will fight our battles. He wants good for His children. Allow Him to guide us to the blessing.

In his latest work, Pastor Joel Osteen shows you how to be intentional and Rule Your Day. With his trademark wisdom and unwavering positivity, Joel reveals six keys for claiming control over each new day. He teaches you how to identify faulty thinking, recast your vision for the future, rise above your circumstances, guard your heart and mind against negativity, and transcend distractions to focus on what matters most.
Pastor Joel Osteen is uplifting, and positive in a world full of negativity. He shows how our thinking changes our perceptions of the future. If we think negatively, then we live negatively. But he doesn’t go on and on boring the reader, he writes intelligently and succinctly. And I learned how I needed to change my own thinking to turn my life in a positive direction. I’ve been so blessed to have had the opportunity to read this book! This book has been a real game changer for me. Joel talks about how we may not be able to control all of our circumstances in our daily lives, but we can control how we respond. We can control our thoughts, our emotions and our attitudes. This book is written in such a way that it feels like Joel is preaching directly to you. I love how Joel teaches us how to apply the word of God to our every day lives. He uses examples from our heroes of faith and different challenges that they faced and we are still facing today. He uses these examples to teach us how they overcame how with the Word of God. It just further proves that scripture is still as relevant today as it was all those years ago. Joel also uses examples from His own experiences as well as from other people to show you how although there could be negativity all around you you don’t have to let that get down in your spirit. He teaches us how to overcome by controlling our atmosphere and going to God each and every day for our daily bread. I highly recommend this book and it has been just such an eye-opener for me. I am using what I learned in this book in applying it to my life and I’m also passing on what I have learned to my children so they too can rule their day!! I thank God for all I’ve learned by reading this book and applying it to my everyday life! Thank you, Joel Osteen!!

Rule Your Day is the latest book from Joel Osteen. I've been a fan of Pastor Joel's since I saw his awesome "Supercharged" sermon in May 2021 on TV. I read his book "Peaceful on Purpose" and I found all the answers that I needed to increase my faith, trust and belief. He has the gift of encouragement and easily explains the spiritual and practical ways to serve God and receive the abundance that God wants to bring to every area of our life- finances, health, relationships, career etc. My favorite chapter in this book is Chapter 1-Rule Your Day. Life tries to push us down but we have the ability to control our atmosphere. We can choose to surround ourselves with positive, faith-filled people, music, books and/or entertainment. As a person who used to struggle with negativity, I control my environment and keep moving forward in positivity. Negativity cannot exist in a positive environment. I thank God every day for Pastor Joel's encouraging words and advice that continue to change my life for the better. I highly recommend Rule Your Day for anyone who wants to rise up and move toward your God given destiny. God's promises and blessings are waiting for you.

Oh my God, literally this book is AMAZING! It immediately improved all aspects of my life. More peace, more confidence,
More love, healthy boundaries and of course number one, growing closer to God everyday. There are 6 rules to follow embrace, digest and practice which help to gain control of your life heading towards your best life. One of my favorite rules is about distractions and focus. You will find out how distractions are keeping you from your purpose and how to set your face and take control of this. We all have precious amounts of time on earth so this chapter helped me to realize I have a purpose and not to waste time in order to realize my purpose.
This book gives you the freedom to let go, and let God’s promise take you where you need to be. We are all living on the same planet with the same struggles.
This is why I’m sharing this review on what this book means to me. It definitely is a life saver!

In his latest book, "Rule Your Day," Pastor Joel consistently provides direction for how to talk to God, how to sit still and listen, and how to surrender our will to the will of the Holy Spirit. I especially like the discussion in chapter two, "Daily Direction".

Discipline! Joel reminded me to greet the Holy Spirit, giving thanks to the Lord for a new day, and asking for what my assignment is for the day. I like the idea of checking in with God for all of my decisions throughout the day. Takes the pressure off me. Thy will be done!

Sometimes, I get an inkling to check the drive time before I leave for a particular destination. I already know how to get there, so I wouldn't need to check to see how long it will take. Usually, I just assume everything is normal and I head out. But sometimes, when I acknowledge the "inkling", that little nudge to look at something more carefully, I find out that I need to choose an alternate route or leave earlier in order to get there on time.

That's seems like a small thing. But, if I don't listen, small irritations pile up and suddenly, my day is "ruined" and my mood is foul. God can't work through me when my emotions are sour and my mind is ruminating on the chaos and disorder in my life.

It's my choice how I want to learn the lessons, life throws at me. Smooth or rough. Gentle or frustrating. Confused or with clear vision.

In "Rule Your Day," Pastor Joel reminds me that I am responsible for following God's guidance. My actions impact other people. As a Christian, the mission is to show others the way to reach the Kingdom of God.

Even if I don't see how my choice makes a difference one way or the other, Holy Spirit has complete knowledge of how my actions impact other people's actions and journey.

I'm glad I read, "Rule Your Day." I'm even more glad that I've chosen to practice what Pastor Joel is preaching. The Holy Spirit exists to help us bring order to the chaos of our daily lives.

Read this book. Apply the lessons on a daily basis. Help win more souls to the Kingdom. Enjoy God's favor.

This book has been so helpful to me. Like so many people right now, I hit a low patch at the beginning of the New Year - I was discouraged and worn out. I was offered the chance to review this book, and while the title struck me as odd, Joel Osteen’s teachings have helped me out of pits before, so I gave it a chance. I’m glad I did. The book is about how God gives us the power and the tools to set the “internal atmosphere” for our lives - our outlook, optimism, hope & faith, how we feel inside & how we perceive the larger picture - no matter what is going on around us. The chapters are specific, actionable, and based on the Bible. Reading these pages lifted me up - but not in that temporary way that happens with motivational books that are just based on cheerleading and human effort. This was more like seeds of hope, vision, encouragement & faith that we’re planted in me and are still popping up & flowering. A much needed antidote to toxic optimism & “boss babe” hustle culture. Highly recommend.

In Rule Your Day, Joel Osteen has written a brand-new book about the power of learning how to rule your day. He instructed readers to make a decision to control their atmosphere and this included our thoughts, emotions, and attitudes. He explained how many of us get burden down by the news and all the negative reports on the media outlets. We have to be careful with what we allow in and what we let get down into our spirit. Joel shared the story of David and Saul. Saul was extremely jealous of David and his army tried to have David killed. Even with going through all of that, David chose to sing about Christ’s power and he reminded himself of how God is our refuge. Joel used this to remind readers that David chose to control his own atmosphere and stay in peace. Throughout the book, Joel will explain how we can use these six keys to live a more peaceful, faith filled, and a positive life.

One of my favorite chapters was the one entitled, “No More Distractions”. This one discussed Jesus and how when it was time for Him to be crucified, He set His face towards Jerusalem. This was the time for his final act and hour on Earth had come and He was about to fulfill His main purpose. He used this exampled to remind readers that our assignment on this Earth is only temporary and we all have an expiration date. We need to be focused and not live distracted. There are many things that can distract us such as caring what other people think of us, fighting battles we don’t need to be fighting, being offended, and dwelling on things that don’t matter.

I would recommend this life changing powerful book to anyone who is ready to unlock the six keys to living a more successful positive attitude on life. One of my favorite things was how Joel shared how not everyone is going to like us or accept us. He reminded us not to get distracted and becoming obsessed with trying to convince others to like us. One of my favorite quotes was, “Nobody talks about people who aren’t doing anything. Nobody tries to discredit someone who has no influence.” This is a very powerful statement that if you’re struggling with people pleasing, this will help you immensely if you will receive that down into your spirit. I appreciated how Joel even shared how he felt pressure to be what others wanted when he first started preaching and leading his father’s church. He revealed how he instead chose to follow God’s guidance and listen to Him. Another favorite quote was, “I’ve heard it said that you should quit swimming across an ocean to be good to someone who won’t jump across a puddle to be good to you. If they get offended because you can’t meet every expectation, they aren’t a true friend”. This is also very powerful in reminding us not to be controlled by others and to be distracted and to seek friends who will be a true friend to us. If you’re looking for an excellent book on learning to rule your day every day, then read this wonderful book!

Osteen gives readers another good book full of encouragement. His first topic is our thoughts. “You don't have control over what other people do, but you do have control over your thoughts, your attitudes, and how you respond.” (92/1368) That means we need to guard our thoughts. We are to dwell on the positive, the hopeful, not the negative.

I really like that Osteen emphasizes we must stay in contact with God. We are to get our direction from Him every morning. We need to be open to God's plan and to changes He directs. We might wonder why God would do things in a new way. So we will not act out of routine or habit. “God changes the method on purpose so we have to come to Him for daily bread.” (387/1368) Also, God sees things we do not. “Everything is not what it seems.” (489/1368) He sees beyond the surface and will direct us accordingly.

Osteen goes on to teach about the tongue and how we speak steers our life. He encourages us to help others solve their problems, essential to solving our own. He wonders what we miss when we focus on ourselves. We cannot allow ourselves to be distracted from our purpose. Osteen reveals the disaster of valuing what others think more than what God has told us to do. And we are to be like the palm tree, bouncing back after a storm.

I like how Osteen uses stories from the Bible to illustrate his teaching. He also has plenty of examples from his own life and the lives of others. His writing is clear, easy to understand, and so very encouraging. This is a good book for any Christian needing positive encouragement to follow through the dream God has given.

Food for thought: “Go be a blessing.” (904/1368)

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

This book gave me six keys to maximizing my success and accelerating my dreams which are practical and applicable to every day life. It helped me avoid distractions, give my day to God each morning and get clear direction, reminds me how extremely important my words are to seeing the plans and purposes of God manifest in my life, how to solve problems by helping others. Many concrete examples are given both of people in the real world and Bible characters for each concept. It helps us recognize distractions and teaches us how to respond to them. The book is very much about overcoming challenges and not being overcome by them. This book is life altering, filled with applicable truth to turn our lives in a direction towards seeing every goal fulfilled, towards having more than enough, so we can meet the needs of others generously. One takeaway I got from reading this book is how important it is to stay in peace and rest, trusting God to finish what He started and knowing some steps I can take practically to accelerate His plans unfolding. Another important takeaway is always to meet with God before we meet with people!

Excited for this book to get out into the world. The book we need now to help us all focus on what matters most and not let the "noise" of the world around us consume us. Osteen as always, has a way with words and provides insight from a biblical standpoint to help the readers take his message and put it in to practice. Highly recommend and am excited to gift this book to others.

Positivity is essential in living a faithful and light-filled life. We can’t control hardships, disappointments, and failures that come our way, but we can control how we react (or don’t) to them.

Something a therapist told me one time has really stayed with me. “Garbage in, garbage out.” She was referring to how diet affects your productivity and how you feel and age. But the same goes for your mind and heart. What you surround yourself with, what you read, see, say, hear—all these things affect you. That’s why it’s important to Rule Your Day and take control of your attitude, reactions, mindset, tongue, etc.

This is a book that will help you grow and shine your light. And perhaps, in turn, your actions might light a fire in someone else’s life as well.

I didn't care for this one though I usually enjoy Joel's books. This one seemed thrown together and not well organized. The material was fine but most of it is repeated from his earlier works.

No matter what you are going thru, this book will help center your focus on God. With that in place, you can be unstoppable in successfully seeing your way thru. This book was placed before me during a very hurtful storm involving my faithwalk. I strongly believe that without this book, the storm could have severely damaged my faithwalk.

Joel's writing continues to be clear, concise, easy to understand powerful. This book has been a true blessing to me during a difficult time. I will be implementing several takeaways in all areas of my life.

Reading a book by Joel Osteen is akin to spending several hours listening to his sermons and getting a massive pep talk. Rule Your Day is no exception.

The message of the book begins with the reminder that while you cannot prevent negativity in others, you ultimately have control over what you allow to influence your personal environment. The rest of the book is a variation on that theme, with steps and advice intended to help the reader keep negative people and other bad influences from derailing your outlook.

Pastor Osteen's books are rooted in Christianity and biblical teachings, though his message will resonate with people of other faiths as well.

Thank you to Netgalley and FaithWords for the opportunity to read an e-ARC of Rule Your Day. The opinions in this review are my own.
