Chasing a boyfriend is not an ideal premise but overall i thought this was fun and cute. i love a seasonal book and this wasn't disappointing!

Funny and loved the Christmas setting. I am not an huge a fan of chasing after a man, so there were a couple of eye rolls here and there. However, for the most part I enjoyed the humor and definitely enjoyed the character growth along the way which made this one a decent read in the end.

This was a fun and enjoyable holiday read, but nothing out of the park in comparison to other holiday books I have read. I felt that the romance was cute but lacked a bit of chemistry.

This was a great holiday read! I was hesitant at the beginning of the book with the premise of chasing after a boyfriend but I was pleasantly surprised by how the story changed to one of self discovery.

I applaud the author for weaving in serious topics with humorous light hearted moments, it was a perfect mix.

I’d definitely recommend, especially around the holiday season!

Cute, fun, festive! If you're in the mood for a quick read that puts you right in the holiday mood then this is definitely a great recommendation! It reminded me of those Hallmark Christmas movies, but then with way more depth. There's actually some deeper topics that are being discussed in this book. I just absolutely LOVED Georgie! Her character development was amazing to witness, it felt like seeing a friend completely blossom. This is actually a very female empowering book!

Brilliant Christmas book. The main character goes on a great journey that takes her from being a little annoying to wonderful. Such a great story about finding yourself and becoming a great version of yourself!

I unfortunately did not finish this book, I really struggled with the characters and the writing style of this book. It was incredibly negative and not at all the kind of book I want for a Christmas time read. I hope it hit the right notes for others, but it wasn't for me.

This was the perfect Christmas romance story and I truly loved it!

Poppy loves the holiday season and is hoping this year she will finally get engaged, so when her boyfriend of five years ends their relationship 12 days before Christmas, her whole world comes crashing down. But Poppy's positive attitude makes her believe that she can get George back... but she only has 12 days to prove him that they are meant to be together. Poppy comes with a plan to remind George the reasons they are good together, so she decides to volunteer at the local shelter and join a local choir group. As Poppy makes friends with the singers in the choir and gets closer to Theo, the shelter's director, she realizes that the plan she's working so hard for might not be what she actually needs.

This book was a great choice for my Holiday reading list for many reasons starting with the fact that the whole book happens in the period leading to Christmas day. I must say this is not the usual romance holiday story, and it's more of finding-yourself journey. While Poppy does have two love interests in the story, most of the plot focuses on her growth as a person. She starts as a very insecure young girl with past family issues she does not even want to acknowledge and grows into a confident person who believes in herself and what she is capable of achieving. George is truly a unlikable boyfriend and I couldn't understand why Poppy wanted him back so much. It becomes clear that she is fixated in the relationship because he has given her some stability, but as a boyfriend, he was not the best. Theo is the total opposite and while he doesn't like Poppy at first, he shows her more kindness and support than George. The other characters that become part of Poppy's support system are just as lovely, and I truly loved her relationship with Mary. This book was an easy and lighthearted read and it was truly perfect for people who love holiday stories.

Poppy’s boyfriend has just broken up with her right before Christmas! Poppy has made a plan to win back George in twelve days and prove he still loves her. The question is, does Poppy want to be with George? This was such a cute story!! I absolutely loved it!

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to review it!

This was a brilliant book.it was a great story with a wonderful pace to it. It had plenty going on and certainly had its funny moments. I loved the characters especially poppy and how she develops throughout the story. I loved the variety of characters each unique in there own way which makes for interesting reading. I loved how the author used this story to open people's eyes to the different types of friends. This made for some great characters especially those we love to hate. This is definitely on of those stories that you find yourself getting involved in shouting at the characters out loud thank goodness I wasn't reading it in a public place. This book was so engaging and I certainly loved reading it. It's definitely a page turning novel. I lovedhow much atmosphere the author created. I definitely recommend reading this book if you love reading books that have plenty of character development and realisations.

Only the highest of praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating such an fun and well developed story that I became emotionally involved in. I will definitely be looking out for more books by this fantastic author.

This is another recent audio listen for me and is the second Christmassy book I’ve listened to this year where the storyline has took my by surprise. It’s really made me think of that film Last Christmas without all the George Michael music, and now I’ve just written that I desperately want to watch it!

Poppy’s relationship with George is going well, or so she thinks until one couples Christmas jumper fiasco too many sees George suggesting they take a break. Poppy decides to try and save her relationship and has twelve days to do it.

Poppy is a complex character who had a difficult upbringing which has filtered into her adult relationships and how she views other people’s perceptions of her. In this book she discovers more about herself during her bid to save her relationship than about the relationship itself. George definitely seems like much more of an idiot and eventually shows his true colours.

I loved the storyline with Theo, Marie and all the others. I suspected the ending might go as it did although I liked that we were left on the precipice of the burgeoning relationship.

This is my last Christmassy read this year! I’ve read quite a few including The Christmas Wish from Lindsey Kelk and Santa, Please Bring Me a Boyfriend from Sophie Ranald. What’s your favourite Christmas romance?

A lovely little festive read that gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling, a well written plot and characters you can completely relate to.

"You may only be visiting but you already belong here."

This book took me by surprise in the best way! Poppy is expecting an engagement ring for Christmas from her boyfriend of 5 years, George. Instead, she gets dumped. During the break up George tells her that she's needy and essentially needs a life of her own. Poppy, maybe for the wrong reasons, decides to do just that -with the help of her new friend Marie. Poppy is on a journey to "get George back" but really she's discovering a lot about herself. I loved her journey in this book. Towards the end I was super frustrated, how could she not see what George and her friends were doing and how they were downplaying her accomplishments. They were super judgemental people and I loved it when Poppy finally stood up for herself.

This was such a wonderful story of finding yourself, realizing what's important, and celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. Highly recommend!

Poppy's long-time boyfriend breaks up with her just before Christmas. Poppy comes up with the perfect plan to win back George's heart in time for Christmas. The only problem is she has twelve days to do it. She starts volunteering at a local Community Center where she meets Theo and helps him set up social media pages to get more publicity for the Center. The more time she spends with Theo, the more her heart starts to change and her plan starts to fall apart.

This is a feel-good romance with a rollercoaster of emotions. I loved the relationship between Poppy and Theo. They equaled each other out. I also loved that she made new, supportive friends at the Community Center and with the Choir she joined. I also liked how Poppy finds herself and her purpose in the changes she made in her life. I would recommend this book to readers looking for a feel-good Christmas romance!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Loved this book- devoured it in one sitting. Great characters and a heart-warming story with a great message too. Brilliant.

Cute premise but Poppy was a bit over the top. I think this is one that is cute and sweet but not really anything groundbreaking. I think this is a nice holiday read and would definitely be something I recommend to read in the season for a light festive read. I appreciate the opportunity to check this one out.

Another Elizabeth Neep book, that everyone should enjoy. It's nice to know you can always count on some authors to not disappoint.

Some of the descriptions were a bit repetitive, but overall a cute little holiday read.

I liked Poppy, for the most part. She was a bit dramatic at times, but it didn’t bother me too bad.

Tried reading this one and it just was not meant for me. This does not mean that it is not a good book, I just was not in the right place to be reading it and have decided to not try picking it up anytime in the near future. May revisit this one during the holiday season but it is not a priority for me at this point - will update my review if I read it further.
