The love of one man belongs to one woman. The love of one woman belongs to one man. Yet they got divorced 13 years ago after only being married for one year. What brings them back together now? Well, Angelina Cunningham is shocked when her ex-husband Ben King arrives at her mountain resort - with amnesia. Having no memory of their past is one thing. The fact that they both share an immediate connection is another.

Even if Angelina and Ben act on their quickly growing attaction Angelina cannot help but think and wonder what did happen that ended their marriage all those years ago. What will happen when Ben regains his memory? Can the past be the past and the pain they had before resolve itself?

This story is heavy on emotion and light on romance. Painful feelings are exposed and considered in the wake of their growing rekindled relationship. This delightful book proved a quick read, one that made it very easy to connect with both characters, and it was very easy to root for their healing and their future.

This story is a clear winner and shows the remarkable talent that is Patricia Johns. Her books are always compelling and relatable. I look forward to reading much more of her in the future.

Many thanks to Harlequin Heartwarming and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Patricia Johns’ Snowbound with Her Mountain Cowboy is a poignant and uplifting tale of second chances and love lost and found perfect for cozying up with.

Mountain resort owner Angelina Cunningham has got a lot on her plate. With a massive winter storm to cope with, more upheaval is the very last thing Angelina needs, but it looks like fate has got more shocks and surprises up her sleeve because a face from her past returns at the most inopportune moment possible: her ex-husband Ben King! Coming face to face with your former spouse – and the love of your life – is stressful enough already – but Ben is not only injured, he is also suffering from temporary amnesia!

Ben might be her ex-husband, but he still has Angelina’s heart and although he doesn’t remember her, he is still as sweet, charming and handsome as ever. Angelina is determined not to fall for him again, but that proves easier said than done. Trapped together during a storm, emotions run high and her old feelings for Ben resurface with a vengeance.

Fate has given Ben and Angelina a second chance, but will their relationship manage to triumph against all the obstacles standing in their way? Will Ben regain his memory and leave her all over again? Or is their love simply not meant to be?

Patricia Johns’ Snowbound with Her Mountain Cowboy is an emotional romantic read that tugs at the heartstrings and will enchant readers with a beguiling blend of pathos, warmth and heart. A captivating tale about laying old ghosts to rest, healing from the past and falling in love, Snowbound with Her Mountain Cowboy is a sweet, heartfelt and satisfying tale romantics everywhere will not be able to resist.

This is a true second chance romance story. Angelina Cunningham and Ben King married years before, with Ben keeping the identity of his family under wraps. Angelina was a naive young woman who was swept off her feet by the dashing man she met on vacation and after only two weeks the married. When Ben takes her home to meet his family they are far from accepting. She is treated as a second class person, with Ben's grandfather calling her a gold digger. The marriage lasts less than a year before they divorce. They still love one another, but Ben has chosen his family over Angelina. In her divorce settlement, she is given a rundown lodge and the property it sits on. Angelina turns it into a sought after place to stay. She is happy and has moved on with her life, or has she. When a terrible storm hits the area, Ben comes knocking at the resort doors. He was in an accident not far away and has a head injury, bringing on temporary amnesia. He only knows that he was drawn to the resort. As they spend time together, with Ben gradually getting his memory back, they remember the feelings they once had for one another.

I enjoyed this story. Reading about Ben and Angelina getting to know one another again, was sweet. She wanted to resist, but those feelings were still buried inside her. Ben's family are a piece of work. They try to pretend they care about others, but then do whatever they need to do to get what they want. I enjoyed learning about Angelina's growth and development to the point that she is able to stand up to the King family. This is a sweet, happily ever after story that would be a perfect read by a fire on a cold day.

Angelina is running a mountain resort and is getting ready to buckle down the place for a winter storm heading her way when her ex, Ben, shows up with amnesia. Until the storm passes through she'll help him out and hopefully his memory returns soon because her heart might not be able to take his charming ways and they both got seperate lives to live.

This was a pretty great read, I really enjoyed it. It was interesting seeing how Angelina's life was being an owner and running the mountain resort and what she went though to get where she was. Ben lives a totally different life in the higher class working ins his family business. Family is important to him but it seems to have really consumed his life and even make him and Angelina split that one time. Clearly the two still loved eachother after so long and it was hard to see them keeping that distance or at least Angelina's was trying to keep that distance as she's the one who knows why things went down. Then there was the whole reason Ben was at her door in the first place before he got into the accident that wiped his memory. I couldn't believe what was taking place after finding out why seeing how things were playing out. Overall great book I really enjoyed it.

Thirteen years may well have passed
But somehow their love has really last.
Their marriage lasted just a year
But family and pressure lost them something dear.

When Ben King returns to her mountain resort
Owner, Angelina Cunningham in a dilemma is caught
He's injured and has amnesia, a storm has come in
He can't go away, she cannot win.

Is this an opportunity to rekindle their romance?
Could this really be their second chance?
The love is there, that much is still true
But so are the family pressures, what should she do?

Why has he come to visit at this time?
What is the reason he's no clue, reason or rhyme.
However, neither can ignore the attraction they feel
For both of them this is something so real.

What a heartwarming read this proved to be
One filled with love and difficult decisions, you'll see.
In a choice between family and love that's true
What should this couple really do?

For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
I throughly enjoyed reading it and this is my honest review.

A second chance and a cowboy is pretty much a must-read for me, and this one was such a heartfelt story. The title for this one would suggest a much easier-going romance than it is. Angelina and Ben have so much to work through. It's obvious that they love each other, but you don't go through what they have without heartbreak, so they have a journey on their way to reconciliation. I absolutely loved Ben's and Angelina's aha moments as they figure out what's most important, but I was hooked way before then. It was so easy to fall into this story and find myself completely invested in this couple getting it all worked out. This is a clean romance in The Second Chance Club series, but as far as I can see, it's a standalone story. I've only had the pleasure of reading a couple of books written by Patricia Johns, but I definitely need to remedy that. Her writing style and storytelling make her stories easy to get lost in, and I enjoyed getting lost in this one.

The Review

This was such an engaging and beautiful story. The author does a great job of exploring the depths that love can take us on. While the fairytale, love at first sight style stories are so fun and entertaining to read, getting a much more layered and in-depth exploration of romance between two people who were in love, lost that love, and then found it again was so much closer to reality and gave readers someone to identify within this novel.

The character development was so rich and gripping to behold. The thing the author really zeroed in on during this read was the need for love to be worked on, not just taken for granted. Love can sadly be a fleeting thing if people don’t work together to hold onto it, and the characters and their journey really explored this to the fullest, showing that feelings can remain in our hearts and can be brought to the surface if people are willing to work on it.

The Verdict

A remarkable, honest, and emotional read, author Patricia Johns’s “Snowbound with Her Mountain Cowboy” is a must-read holiday romance novel. The honest and engaging way the author explored this relationship and the exploration of love and romance’s more complicated facets will keep readers engaged throughout the novel’s entirety.

Title: Snowbound with Her Mountain Cowboy
Author: Patricia Johns
Genre: Romance
Rating: 4 out of 5

Mountain resort owner Angelina Cunningham has her hands full with a massive winter storm. Which is exactly when her ex-husband arrives, injured and suffering temporary amnesia. Ben King has always been her weakness. Though he doesn’t remember her, he’s still as charming and sweet as ever, and Angelina is falling for him all over again. But can their rekindled love outlast the storm and the return of their past mistakes?

This was a sweet, clean read and I enjoyed it. I liked both Angie and Ben and seeing how they handled life now differed from how they handled it then. It was fun watching them fall for each other again, and wondering how they would get things worked out.

Patricia Johns lives in Canada. Snowbound with her Mountain Cowboy is her newest novel.

This was a heartfelt, second chance at love story. I enjoyed learning what had gone right and what had gone wrong in this marriage. It was very telling that Ben’s first memories that began to surface included Angelina. She truly was the love of his life. However, it wasn’t as simple as that. These two characters had a lot to work through and difficult truths to face about why their marriage hadn’t lasted.

You can pick this story up and enjoy it without having read any of the other books in the series. It is part of the Harlequin Heartwarming line and is a clean story with a couple of mild swear words.

I wasn’t sure how the author was going to make things work out for this couple, but she did it! I enjoyed the “eye-opening” that both of these characters went through in regards to understanding what was important and what was worth fighting for.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is a Second Chance Romance/Women's Fiction. I really loved seeing these two characters learn more about each other, and them trying to see what really what wrong during they short marriage. They always knew they love each other, but can love really fix everything. Their are family secrets that comes to light, and there is so much character development in this book. This is not a fast moving story, but this story will pull you in and make you want to keep reading. This is not like the normal romance, and I would say this book is a good mix of women's fiction with a little romance put in. You will not get any steamy times in this book. I cannot say how much I loved the ending. The ending to this book was cute, sweet, and everything this book needed. Great Read. This is a short book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Heartwarming) or author (Patricia Johns) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I don't really read second chance romances but this book may change my mind because it was such a delightful read. Snowbound with her mountain cowboy follows Angelina who is a mountain resort owner and her ex husband Ben who is suffering from temporary amnesia. This is a fast moving story on what happens when two people find their way to each other . I enjoyed the plot, the lovable characters, the setting and how the author kept us engrossed in her story. This is a clean romance that is perfect for a lazy day.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Harlequin Heartwarming . Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Slow Burn Clean Second Chance Romance - With A Disaster. This is exactly what I noted in the title - a slow burn romance where the couple never really gets together until the very end, clean in that there is barely any kissing and certainly nothing beyond that (sorry, fans of near-erotica level steam), and featuring a couple that has been divorced far longer than they were ever married... but who neither ever quite got over the other. This one also has a few other love story tales embedded naturally within the story, all of which contribute nicely to the primary romance of the story here. Not short at nearly 400 pages, but does actually read a bit faster than other books of its length I've encountered. Very much recommended.

I was kindly provided a free copy by NetGalley, publishers and author for an honest review. While I thank them very much, I have to be honest and say that I didn’t enjoy this one as much. I am a fictional romance reader and need a good love story to enjoy it no matter what trope it falls under. I especially like 2nd chance romances and ones that are or were married is my weakness, but unfortunately here the romance & sexy times were lacking and the chemistry between the two MCs just wasn’t there. I did finish it but it took me 3 days to do so and I did like the ending though.

Just because it wasn't to my own personal standards, doesn't mean you will not like it. So give it a chance, especially to those that don't like a lot of SMUT in their reads.
