Well written but not something that I would read about. I was attracted by the title but the content didn’t make me any to progress.

This book belongs to a particular genre that presents difficulties to the reviewer, since it provides a kind of social paradigm for the reader that reflects the author’s ‘lived experience’, as he would undoubtedly put it. Of course, we all have different lived experiences and the multi-dimensional matrix of ideas, models, tools and suggestions that flow through the book will often not readily match or feel a comfortable fit with the reader’s own business or social context. However, this is not to suggest there is no value in a book like Klein’s. Like so many self help manuals (a description the author may not feel entirely comfortable with), the trick is to be a magpie and be prepared to be attracted or challenged by everything, but then select out those prompts that have resonance for your personal journey. However, if there is one word of advice for the author and editor - brevity is a much underrated characteristic that all writers should aim for. As Emperor Joseph II nearly said in the film Amadeus ‘Toomany words, Mr Klein, too many words.’
