4 stars.

This is book number 9 in the series and while I haven't read the first 8, it didn't make much difference. This book is for those kids who are just beginning to read chapter books.

I quite liked the story. I tried to read this while keeping little Rachel in my mind and seeing how she would enjoy it. I loved horses, ponies as a little kid. I grew up with the 80s My Little Pony and adored it so any book about unicorns I would grab. Any kid who loves horses would enjoy this series.

I like how it showed how sisters can have a disagreement, but in the end, the sister bond is strong and they look out for each other. It also ended with telling the audience how to better handle situations.

So since little Rachel would have loved this book, I'm going to say I recommend it.

3.5 stars
This was a great story that my daughter flew through.  Unfortunately it was a little young for her so she didn't love it as much as she would of done if she was younger.  She rated the book herself. From listening to the story I thought it deserved a rating of 4 as the book would be brilliant for ages 5 to 7 year old. I thought the pictures were lovely and enjoyed all the wonderful colours.  I found the story was wonderful for the younger age group with fantastic morals. The pictures and text was of the right ratio for the young readers. The life lessons in this book was based are teaching our children how to share, help and care for one another. Also working together and being courageous where my own 9 year old words. Which showed she really learnt from the book. I am positive that your child would love this book.
This book is the first book in a 4 part series.
Many thanks to the author and publishers for creating this brilliant story for our children to love and enjoy.  Instilling ba brilliant set of morals and life lessons that they wouldn't even realise they are learning.

Unicorns to the Rescue (Unicorns of the Secret Stable #9). By Laurie J. Edwards, Illustrator: Jomike Tejido. 2022. Jolly Fish Press (ARC eBook).

Sisters, Iris and Ruby, have a disagreement that leads to an accident. But teamwork between the sisters and their unicorn friends help complete a successful rescue. Unicorns to the Rescue is about sibling patience and taking responsibility for reckless actions. Real-life lessons and nice illustrations continue in this solid series.

This is a sweet story that has beautiful illustrations to go with the story. It also has discussion questions at the end to help the child learn how important it is to apologize when you've done something wrong. If your little girl likes unicorns, she will love this book.

Working Together

A delightful story of two sisters and a garden of Unicorns. This storybook teaches children about working together and saying I'm sorry.

Iris and her sister Ruby hold keys to a secret garden where Unicorns roam. One day the younger sister Ruby wants to go visit the Unicorns but Iris needs to finish a homework assignment. When she finishes her report she cannot find Ruby.

She thinks Ruby must have gone to visit the Unicorns without her. She goes in search of her sister and when she cannot find her she asks the unicorns to help.

The Unicorns must work together to save Ruby and when Ruby is found she needs to say she is sorry to Iris for running off and Iris needs to say she is sorry to ruby for not taking the time to listen to her.

It is an easier book for children to read and has a lot of pictures. A good book to read in school or with parents to explain about working together with each other and saying I'm sorry when needed.

I enjoyed reading this children's book and I know it will be enjoyed by children. I recommend it.

Thanks to Laurie J. Edwards for writing an enjoyable book for children, to North Star Editions, Jolly Fish Press for publishing it and NetGalley for making it available for me to read.

In this short and fun adventure we follow two sisters, Ruby and Iris. Iris has a report for school due the next day and Ruby wants to go see the unicorns. When Iris gets frustrated with her Ruby leaves her alone. Ruby ends up in a lot of trouble that forces Iris to come up with a clever solution to save her little sister.

This is such a sweet read. It has an adorable sibling relationship that I'm sure most siblings will find relatable. The story is easy and quick making it a great choice for those who are just starting to read chapter books. The concepts are simple and easy to understand for even the youngest of reader. It's a great choice for any Unicorn lover.

OK this is not exactly what I was expecting. I thought this was gonna be a little bit more chapter book is a little bit less easy reader

What is perfect for kids that are just on the cusp of being able to read chapter books.

It’s a cute story it’s fun it’s sweet it’s easy to follow.
Honestly I wish I had an early elementary school kid to get this for.

This is the first book we have read in this series and we LOVED it! Super cute story, easy for me and my early reader to take turns reading.

Side note: There is a unicorn in this story that also has dragon features. We do ALL things unicorn around here and he may be my favorite unicorn ever!

Iris would usually love to go visit the unicorns with her younger sister Ruby. But with a big school report due the next day, Iris has to focus. She doesn’t have time to visit the unicorns. And she is not in the mood to listen to Ruby’s problems. But when Ruby goes missing, Iris worries she’s made a big mistake. With the help of stallions Ember Shadow and Tempest, Iris searches the Enchanted Realm for Ruby.

Review from my 5 year old:
✔️lots of details in the pictures
✔️loved all the unicorns
✔️Loved when the unicorns came to help

This was definitely a great early chapter book. The chapters were short, the story was easy to follow, and there were the perfect amount of illustrations (which were superb)! Thank you so much for letting my daughter and I read this book, review it, and create great memories together snuggled up reading about our favorite magical creatures!

This is a nice, short beginning chapter book. It has a a nice draw as unicorns are very popular right now. The short chapters and detailed pictures help keep young readers follow the story and want to keep reading. It is a pretty short book, I would have liked to see a couple more chapters, but I think that young readers who are eager to start reading chapter books will excited to give this a shot!

This was a very cute story about 2 sisters who are able to visit another world where they have made friends with the unicorn inhabitants. In this installment, older sister Iris has to travel to the Enchanted Realm in order to rescue her younger sister, Ruby, who has gotten into a bit of a bind.
This was a super fun quick read, with a simple premise and a quick resolution, in which the unicorns played a central role in helping to rescue Ruby.
If you have a unicorn obsessed child, this is a great way for them to bet their dose of unicorn content quickly.

My daughter loved this unicorn book!

This book had an easy to follow plot entailing rescuing the main characters. Being rescued by unicorns is any little girls dream!

This book is perfect for early elementary school readers and is a simple chapter book with fun pictures.

My little reader/reviewer gives this book 5 stars and to read more books in the series.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a digital copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you so much to Jolly Fish Press and Netgalley for the earc to read and review.

This was really sad and also utterly sweet. Ruby and Iris have a fight and Ruby runs into the magical forest alone and finds herself stuck and hurt. I loved that it had a bit of a scarier story.

Iris was amazing and clever, she used all her brain power to find a way to save her sister and also get the wonderful unicorns to come and help them out. It also teaches forgiveness which is such an important lesson to learn.

This was a really sweet read and another great addition to this unicorn series. If you’ve read the previous books you’ll love this new addition, if you’ve not read the series you really should, especially if you’ve got young kids who would love and adore these magical books.
