Honor knows she is gifted but doesn't realize what an important part she'll play in Sam's life and the final battle with the Kurjan soldiers and Ulric . This story is amazing it's action packed and Suspenseful and definitely intense . This is a favorite paranormal series for me . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

I am so excited we are finally getting Sam's book and was not disappointed! He has been one of my favorite support characters in this whole series. Honor was interesting and I liked what her character added to the story arch of the series.

Immortal’s Honor by Rebecca Zanetti is book fourteen in her Dark Protectors series. Though part of a series, it reads well as a standalone.

Dr. Honor McDoval needs a break, and she’s determined to get away. Sam Kyllwood can tell there’s something special about Honor and knows he needs to explore their potential more. Then he inadvertently touches her and…fire.

Simply put this is a 5 out of 5 star read. The plot, characters, and dialogue are are well-conceived and fully implemented. The world-building is exceptional. I truly enjoyed Immortal’s Honor and highly recommend it to all readers of paranormal romantic suspense.

My thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

I loved Immortals Honor, Sam might be one of my favorite men in this world. He was fun, possessive, and down right sexy. Honor was smart, witty, and thankfully had enough common sense to not be a moron like a lot of female characters are. Together they were perfect. I can’t wait to read Garrett’s story.

This book was so good. I loved it just as much as I did the rest of the books in this series.
Sam is a Vampire/Demon hybrid. To save his nieces life he took on a roll that wasn't ment to be his. But he will do whatever it takes to keep his family safe.
Honor thinks she has been kidnapped by an insane human. But things keep catching on fire around her and she doesn't understand why. She eventually figures out that things aren't what they seem.
I can not wait to read the next book

I couldn't wait for this Sam's book and now I'm afraid to review it and give away spoilers but Sam you did not disappoint me. There is more than meets the eye with Sam and I'm excited this book did him justice.

The final battle fast approaches and there aren’t many unmated males left on the side of good… but as each falls to their mates the passion only gets hotter and crazier. Honestly this series has held my heart and attention since I stumbled on the very first Dark Protector’s novel so many years ago and it has yet to let me down in all the spin-offs and even in this new generation of heroes. I have looked forward to Sam’s story for a while now and wondered what type of leading lady would capture his heart and Honor was the perfect match for him and their story was fabulous. Sam Kyllwood knows that he is one of the most deadly males around, but he also knows that he will do everything, up to and including sacrificing himself for his family, and he doesn’t want the weight of a mate in his life when he has those thoughts on his mind. He is on the hunt for a way to stop their enemy from escaping his prison world when Honor crashes into his life and her pull is irresistible, but even more terrifying is the fact that she gets pulled into his battles putting her life in jeopardy. Honor is no stranger to the mystical, but when she meets Sam she knows that something isn’t right with the sexy guy and sets out to figure out how he fits in with the bombings she has been tracking. As they are pulled together again and again by the enemy and their passion for one another, they have to each face the fact that maybe their meeting was more than just a fluke of circumstance and perhaps fate was at play, but do they have a chance at a future or is it safer for them to walk away? I loved Sam and Honor, their interactions passionate, hilarious, and intense. Sam is obviously in no way prepared to lose his heart to a mate, but he doesn’t let that stop him from wrapping himself around Honor and pulling her into his protection when she is put into his enemy’s crosshairs. He is courageous, honorable, charming, droll, and one off the most protective males in the series but it’s obvious he is clueless when it comes to relationships, in the sweetest ways. I loved watching him stumble through how to admit his feelings for Honor and find a way to make her accept their mating even as he fought the emotions her presence brought out in him. Honor is obviously in way over her head with Sam; she knows there is something not right with him when he is arrested for the bombings she has been tracking, but she never imagined the truth that she is confronted with as she trails him. She is super intelligent, but her mystical gift is messing with her mind, and only gets worse when she meets Sam and his people, but they also give her the skills she needs to understand her gift. She becomes an important member of the team and learns that Sam is the man she never knew she always wanted at her side and will do whatever is needed to keep him safe while he works to protect everyone else. I loved seeing her in action, kicking butt and taking names even though she was terrified a lot of the time, and of course as she found herself falling for the crazy vampire-demon hybrid she learns the truth that love can conquer all if we just let it have its way. The passion between these two is off the charts from the very beginning and the more time they are in one another’s radius it just heats up more until that volcano begins to explode uncontrollably. I loved this story and am DYING for Garrett’s story next, because to be honest I know that one is going to blow all the previous ones out of the water. Rebecca’s continues to blow my mind with her imagination and the craziness she puts these couples through, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

3.5 stars rounded up.

Hybrid vampire Sam Kyllwood has kept his status as keeper for some mysterious ritual to himself, only planning to use this position to keep his family safe. But when the side effect of his role is uncontrollable fire and explosions, he’s hard pressed to find a solution and the consequences of his unintended fires have caught the notice of humans, most specifically talented psychologist, Honor McDovall, about whom he is immediately curious.

Honor consults rather frequently with Homeland Security interrogations, but she’s never met anyone like Sam. She doesn’t understand her own mental gifts, or even want them, but she still uses them to help people and to detect when someone is lying. Ruining her plans for a long vacation, her job brings her to Sam’s notice, and she can sense he has even more mental skills than she does. She also quickly realizes just how dangerous he is, which may be a good thing given the fact that she suddenly has a multitude of enemies after her.

I liked the fact that this book was fast-paced and actiony from the start and it pulled me into the plot quickly. Unfortunately, as is sometimes the case with me and action-packed stories for some reason, I became a little bit bored with it nearer the end. Somehow, the action sequences became a bit repetitive, especially with regards to the source of the threats against Honor and Sam, but I don’t want to say anymore about that and risk spoilers. Basically, I liked that Sam went for what he wanted with Honor and didn’t shy away from having uncomfortable discussions with her. Honor was a bit more hesitant, which was definitely sensible of her, but at the same time, the way in which she went about dragging her feet in her relationship with Sam was frustrating and her arguments against him also became a little repetitive. Overall, my favorite aspect of this book was the side characters, especially Nessa, Flynn and Bear and I loved how they came together to support Sam. I enjoyed this story well enough, but I wouldn’t call it a new favorite, mostly because there was a lot of time spent in building the overarching plot of the series and that took away from time on page for Sam and Honor so that, for me, the romance definitely suffered and took a back seat. I’ll continue the series for Garrett’s story, however, because this was a solidly entertaining story regardless of my gripes with it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Immortal's Honor is the 14th book in the Dark Protectors series. It's not really a standalone book, but there is a really great plot summary from the previous book, so you really can read just this one book if you want.

This book was fine. It was entertaining in a VERY light way, so other readers may adore this book as I think it is a really easy read.

Fantasy is all about suspending disbelief and normally that isn't a problem for me when I read paranormal romances. BUT. I belong to a Motorcycle Group (not club, there is a huuuuuge difference.) When an author writes about a Motorcycle Club (MC), I expect there to be at least lip service to the idea of who joins and what they do related to the MC. Maybe more than one motorcycle ride in general and perhaps in line with how an MC works. I know these are not meant to be humans, so they can do different things than the real world. But this little detail kept me from really enjoying this otherwise entertaining book.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington/Lyrical Press for sending me this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed the latest addition to the Realm world, Honor and Sam’s book. I always knew there was so much more to Sam than you saw previously described and this book confirms that. Rebecca Zanetti created another wild, exiting adventure and I cannot wait for Garrett’s book and to know more about the Hope love triangle. These books just keep getting better!

Love this series by Rebecca Zanetti! Steamy chemistry between the main characters - this can be read as a standalone, but each book contributes to the overarching plot that runs through the series. Lots of action, shifters, and magic make the story difficult to put down!

While I have enjoyed reading this series and getting to know the characters, the length of time between new books being published is taking it’s toll. I read over a hundred books a year, so it’s getting more difficult to remember who everyone is and to remember what happened in the previous book(s). The whole storyline with Hope, Drake and Paz is entirely too similar to the one with Zane, Janie and Kalin. Although I think Hope may be even more naive than Janie was, if you can believe that. It’s beginning to feel as if I’m just re-reading an earlier book.

Sam thinks he has everything under control. But then, he hasn’t met Honor McDovall. Much to his surprise, she has no problem standing up to him. Together they are “explosive”. Another great addition to the Dark Protector’s Series.

With this being the 14th of the series, I was, once again, shocked at how good the story line is as well as how different all the main characters are. I loved Sam and Honor together, and I really enjoyed the snarky sense of humor that pervaded the story. Honor is no pushover, which really worked for Sam (as well as me!)

The world building in this series is second to none, and I can't wait for the next one!

A fantastic "paranormal" romance by Ms. Zanetti. Great characters and dialogue make this a quick read. Enjoyed

This book totally tricked me into reading another motorcycle club book without me even noticing. It was fun, smutty, exciting, and ultimately took some big steps to the "big showdown."

Sam is yet another super secret member of the Seven's plan/protection for the big bad. With each book we get closer to a potential showdown, and even get some good progress here and epic battles. Since Sam is a protector (see what I did there?) he steps up to take on some of what should have been the role of his niece. Things are obviously not going well, since he gets his own book. He's blowing things up, lighting them on fire, and randomly getting pulled into different dimensions. The newest bonus, upon meeting Honor, an enhanced female, he somehow "infects" her with a similar affliction.

Honor has been swimming along in her weird life, content with normality until this hulking brute enters her life. Their interactions were simply wonderful to watch. She isn't one of those "save me, I'm a princess!" types, and it was refreshing. At every turn, she tries to get herself out of a bad situation before even thinking someone could help her. As a match, they are pretty good and work towards a balanced pair. The side stories for Hope and her friends also seamlessly mix with this story, giving us a good chance to progress the big plot. Overall, this is one of my favorite recent installments in the series.

Immortal’s Honor (Dark Protector #14). By Rebecca Zanetti. 2021. Lyrical Press (ARC eBook).

Sam Kyllwood and Honor McDoval take a wild and explosive ride in Immortal’s Honor. Sam has a lot going on: the vampire-demon hybrid, as a member of The Seven and the Keeper of a prophesied ritual, Sam is on the outs with The Realm. But he and his friend, Garrett Karys, have become patched members and honorary family of Bear McDunphy’s Grizzly Motorcycle Club. But now Sam is experiencing trouble with inter-dimensional phasing and catching himself and things on fire. The stakes for curing himself raise when he partially passes the abilities to Honor accidentally. Filled with the series-established action and steamy romance, Immortal’s Honor advances the future return of Ulric, the Kurjan’s imprisoned leader and reveals more of the true motives of two young Kurjan, Drake and Vero. Honor is a strong match for Sam and her acceptance into the MC full of bear-shifters is very amusing. I can’t wait for the next installment!
