This latest chapter in Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protector’s series has everything – action, adventure, romance, a crazed enemy and some very sarcastic bear shifters,

Vampire-Demon hybrid Sam Kyllwood sees himself as a protector. The middle of five siblings, he’s the one who runs interference and keeps the peace, everyone else’s sounding board. To protect his young niece and his brothers, Sam underwent a long and painful ritual that allows him to move between dimensions. Lately, though, his powers have been off, He finds himself being pulled by different dimensions. Add to that, when the energy in and around him builds, fires tend to start – or buildings blow up. And that’s the reason Sam finds himself in a DHS interrogation room.

Psychologist, Dr. Honor McDoval is an enhanced female, only she doesn’t know it. She only knows that she has well developed sixth sense that allows her to read people. While it helps in her consulting with DHS, she’s had enough. As a favor, she agrees to help on one more case before she takes a break to clear her thoughts. What she gets is a man who piques her curiosity. As she watches the interrogation, she finds herself drawn to the man on the other side of the window, When it’s her turn to question him, she is immediately assaulted by the energy he is emitting, another part of the puzzle that is this intriguing man. Sam is just as compelled by Honor as she is by him. He’s ready to get out of there when his brother comes to spring him. As he passes Honor on his way out the door, she grabs his arm and is surprised by the shock that runs up her arm.

Free from government questioning, anxious and on edge, Sam slips away from his brother and goes in search of Honor. For her part, Honor has nothing but questions, but she’s not about to go with Sam when he shows up at her home. Neither of them knows what happened between them, but Sam knows she needs to protected and he isn’t about to leave her alone. Given no choice, Honor finds herself in the middle of a world she never could have imagined.

Finding just what it means to be an enhance female, fighting an immortal enemy who is determined to kill Sam and capture her and surrounded by vampires, demons, shifters and new friends who might not be what they seem, Honor finds herself first depending on Sam, then admiring him his loyalty and sense of responsibility toward his family and the brother’s of the MC of which he is a part and finally needing to be his partner and his protector. But before that last part can happen, they need to survive the fight being thrust upon them.

The story is fast paced, moving quickly from one crisis to another. The dialogue is quick and witty. And the shifters add their sarcasm and snark for just a bit of levity. I’m in awe that, even as this series grow, each story is better than the last. Waiting for the next chapter gets harder and harder. Though the reading experience will be richer if you start at the beginning of the series, it’s possible to read this book without having read the previous stories. There is enough background to allow the reader to follow the action but be prepared. This book will pull you into the world of the Dark Protectors and won’t let you go. Fans of Donna Grant’s Dark Kings and Reapers will love the Dark Protectors.

4 and a half stars.
I loved this book! It has everything: romance, mystery, humor, action. Sam and Honor are great characters. Honor's enhancement was really cool and original. Sam was totally bad*ss, hot and even sweet.
We get more of Bear and Nessa, which I loved. And we get a lot of Garret and the search for his mate (this I didn't like...). Then we have a little of Hope and her love triangle.
The story continues with the Kurdans and the Cyst wanting to free Ulric, but there's some twist!
Overall, I can't say enough good things about this book and only bad (for me) was the Garret thing.
Safety Squad: it is safe, no OW drama, no cheating or scenes with others.

I truly enjoyed jumping back into the Dark Protectors series with all the wonderful characters and energy. Sam and Honor's book is ramped up with her amazing ability to help the bear shifters. Oh my! Too amusing for words. You won't want to miss this one. I loved all the verbal play between Sam and Honor. The steam between them was hot and funny too, but the great storyline was the best part of the book.

Will he let his own fears keep them apart …

I know it is never a good idea to land in a series so late in it.
My fear was to be lost with the characters, but the author ingeniously put hints about who’s who’s in this whole new-to-me world, so I mostly never felt I lacked some intels.
Of course, there were some insights I did not catch but in the whole, I much enjoyed my read.
Sam is more than the peacemaker he is seen to be, he is a relay, he brings people together but also solves problems. Only he can find a solution for his own much preoccupying conundrum.
Even if unconsciously he has the answer.
Honor has all her life managed to pass under the radars her talent for reading people, a gift very different from a simple knack. Why she is instantly taken by Sam, she sees more to him than his apparent carefree persona.

I expected a classical points of view’s duet, when in fact it follows many characters, offering a multi-edged vision of the events.
I just cross my fingers there will not be the love triangle I see pinpointed by the author, I so dislike them.

In all, even for a newcomer like me, there is everything for a wonderful time, packed with treachery, action and steam.

Immortal’s Honor is the fourteenth book in Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series. This book is a romantic suspense novel with fantastic characters and a great storyline which adds to the amazing and ever evolving Dark Protector World that Zanetti has created.

Vampire-Demon Sam Kyllwood is the Keeper of the circle that will hopefully lead to the destruction of Ulric, but lately things have been unexpectedly exploding around him. His control is tested even further when he meets Honor McDovall psychologist and Homeland Security interrogator. The chemistry between them is immediate and explosive in more ways then one. Both are stubborn and are use to getting what they want, but when their enemies start coming from all sides, will Honor and Sam be able to comprise? Read it and find out!

This story is filled with danger and intrigue. I loved the characters. They are both strong individuals with strong beliefs and personalities that compliment each others strengths and weaknesses. All the books in this series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced readers copy sent by the publisher via Netgalley.

We finally get Sam Kyllwoods book and it was definitely worth the wait. Sam underwent a ceremony years earlier to become the Key in order to save his niece Hope. Unfortunately the ritual he is supposed to preside over is supposed to kill his brother. He is also having trouble controlling fire.

He than meets Honor who has intuitive gifts she uses while working for homeland security. Seeing Sam and Honor stumble through the beginning of their relationship is highly entertaining.

It’s also fun to see interactions with Bear and Nessa since Sam and Garrett are members of the Grizzlies MC. We also have interactions with other old favorites. Seeing Flynn again just makes me want dragon stories. We also once again see the triangle between Hope, Pax and Drake. Also seeing Garrett searching for his mate is fun and entertaining.

Most importantly though is that even with all the intrigue the relationship between Sam and Honor is amazing. Sam is now one of my new favorite heroes. He is honorable and emphatic andHonor is his perfect match.
Once again Rebecca Zanetti has written a fast paced book with memorable characters and an intense story. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment with Garret.

The next installment in the Dark Protectors series from author Rebecca Zanetti titled Immortal's Honor brings us further into the world of the immortals and enhanced humans living amongst us by putting us through the paces along with Sam Kyllwood as he finds his mate. For those of us who have been following the series from the start vampire-demon Sam Kyllwood is brother to the demon king and the keeper of the mysterious circle that the seven are the keys all have looming over their heads. It’s all well for a an immortal being to endure and go through battles, but an entirely different thing when it is decreed that their little brother is supposed to basically fight to the death at the time of the apocalyptic event. This means that it is not time for him to be lighting fires and causing explosions without any control whatsoever, let alone finding himself faced with his mate as this is occurring.

Enters said unsuspecting mate Honor McDovall who though aware of her mystical gifts is still figuring out quite how they work and had no clue that immortal beings existed, let alone that she belonged in a special category known as enhanced females who are being sought by said immortal males. There she was helping work a case using her powers, which she doesn't fully grasp, but uses because she knows they work and now they have landed her smack dad into Sam’s world. She senses that Sam is somehow like her, but she has no idea of what he truly is until she’s brought along for the ride…literally along with him, felines and bears oh my!

Unfortunately now that she has come under Sam’s radar, she is now also under the Kurjan’s radar and that’s definitely not a good thing. Sam and Honor have off the charts chemistry, but the mate mark refuses to appear because Sam is seriously lost as to how to save his brother and how fate may possibly be screwing with everything and everyone he holds dear. So now it’s a race against time to figure out how they can stop these explosive fires, while enemies keep coming out of the woodwork and the countdown to the ceremony looms closer. This review was given on the ARC copy I received from the Publisher via Netgalley in return for my honest opinion. Happy reading!

Although I've enjoyed every one of the Dark Protector books that I've read so far, I think that Immortal's Honor might just be my favourite yet. There's just something about Sam, our hero in this book that is just so entertaining and makes for a really good read. He's certainly met his match in Honor and they make a great couple.
These books could be read as stand-alone novels, but there is an overarching storyline that is slowly reaching its conclusion. You don't need to have read the others to pick up this story, but it certainly helps if you have.
Like the other books, we do get snippets of this 'other' storyline. Hope, Drake and Pax all feature and it's still not obvious how their story, once it actually comes might play out. It's clear that at the moment they've all got different ideas of what that might be.
This was a great read. I really enjoyed the romance between Honor and Sam. I also liked the other characters, Bear in particular, that played their part in this book. I'm interested to see what's next, it looks as though Garret will take the lead there. I also wonder if we'll find out how it's going to all end before much longer.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

Immortal's Honor has it all! Each book gives you a solid foundation that you expect and still throws new elements keeping this series fresh and new. This one put me on pins and needles as to where Rebecca is taking us. This series has whipped me up, spinning me around coming to quickly to a conclusion I am not sure I am ready for, I fear someone will be lost :( Sam is a middle brother and as such was not very prominent - till his book - Immortals Honor. I am absolutely thrilled that even though Sam is Alpha he is not really overbearing and watching him tweak his words and plans to keep Honor around made me smile. Honor is kick butt, she is intelligent, aware that she has something special within her and is not continuously screaming and calling foul. She has her moments, who wouldn't, but for the most part she sucks it up and makes plans. You go girl. Loved that we saw more of Bear and Nessa and what transpires with Honor :) Sorry no spoilers. Rebecca shows us good and bad can be in anyone, Drake and Paxton are prime examples - or are they both being led astray. Action at every corner , romance, laughter and full blown entertainment. Love Love Love! Thank you for the arc! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

I love this world, the characters, the action, the romance.

And I can't wait for more.

I just loved the scenes where we see Hope and Pax, and their group of friends. I silently (because it was close to midnight and I didn't want to wake up my roommate) squealed in excitement, anticipation, while reading all their interactions, thinking of all the potential books this could mean for the future. Fingers crossed there are a lot more to come.

Now... back to the main characters of the book.

Sam, the middle brother who is always seen as the background guy finally gets his shot at happiness. And I loved it, but then again I love just about every book in this series.

True to an original Rebecca Zanetti book, Sam has some hold ups when the possibility of mating is presented to him. He wants to protect Honor from the pain his possibly in the future death would bring her. But of course he quickly changes his tone when the only way to save Honor, and himself, is to mate.

I won't get to into the plot, because otherwise I might spoil some juicy parts and I would just hate to do that.

If you are looking for a good paranormal romance series filled with action, steamy scenes, a close knit family and group of friends, I would definitely recommend giving this series, and book a try.

Engaging!

Sam and Honor have a wild ride full of humor and twists. I love visiting old friends and catching glimpses of the stories to come. This book is an amazing addition to the series and I can't wait to see what comes next.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

This is the first book I’ve read in the Dark Protectors series & wow!! I went back to the first book & started reading from the beginning. Sam Kyllwood & Honor McDovall’s story grabbed my attention from the first page, I didn’t want to put the book down. Sam & Honor are a wonderful couple & such likable characters as are all the supporting characters. Rebecca Zanetti has become one of my all time favorite authors, her books never disappoint. I can’t say enough about this book & author, you need to read this book!! I received an arc from Netgalley and the publisher for an honest review.

4.25/5 stars!

Due to a past event, the hero has a destructive power that he couldn't control. It's due to this dangerous power that he meets the heroine. As his captivation grows, it brings the heroine closer to his world. And as the heroine is immersed in this mystical side that she didn't know existed until now, danger comes closer to the couple.

This is an enjoyable addition to the Dark Protectors series. The book gave enough information about the series for readers not to get lost. The main couple were likable and strong. The secondary characters were entertaining. There are glimpses of what future books will be focused. And the action scenes flowed smoothly within the story. Nothing against the overall series plot, but it would have been nice to expand on certain details in the main couple's relationship and scenes. Otherwise, a really enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more Rebecca Zanetti books in the future.

**Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions and thoughts in the review are my own.**

The point of view flips between various people not just our main characters but it was flawlessly done and so easy to follow.⁣

I can't believe how far these characters have come. We have been fighting and protecting against the bad guys for a long time now. This is finally Sam Kyllwood's story. He has been in the background of most of the next gen stories but we really don't know much about him. We know more about his brother the King and his younger brother as one of the 7.

Honor knows nothing of this world but gets caught up pretty quickly. Lots of action and adventure in this story! Big booms, the Grizzly MC and of course King Dage gets involved at some point as well.

One of the best of the series. Things are coming close to the end here. The finale is going to be epic!

Read the whole series! You get Demons, Vampires, Witches, Shifters----- what's not to love!

I am beyond thankful that I was able to obtain an ARC of this story. I didn’t come to this series until about 2 years ago (the first book was published more than 10 years ago) and was able to make my way through them (and their offshoots) always knowing I would be able to read the next one soon. Alas, I’ve caught up now. Now I’ll have to display patience while waiting for the next story to be told. As things are ramping up in new era of the series, I’m on the edge of my seat to see what happens next.

Rebecca Zanetti is a master at writing chemistry, especially instant chemistry. And she is always able to keep the chemistry alive throughout the book. Sam and Honor can literally feel each other before they even meet in the same room. I know that’s because of her immense enhancements and his being an immortal and all, but it still felt exciting and different. Even when Honor met Garrett, he could feel her energy but didn’t have that same connection she had with Sam.

In books past, there is often a problem with the mortal character trying to live in denial about the immortal world around them even when they are shown over and over that it’s real. While I understand that would be the reaction of most humans, I appreciate that Honor had a very no-nonsense way of looking at what was happening to her. Instead of losing her mind and freaking out, she forced herself to face what was the reality in front of her. I’m sure that had a lot to do with her psychology training paired with her own unique abilities. It was refreshing. Though Honor didn’t jump instantly on board with getting mated to Sam, she did understand the reasons she should. She just hoped to have time to decide to mate him because they also wanted to and not just because they needed to. When it came right down to it, she was there for it though.

Although Honor was able to be open minded about Sam and the immortal world, that’s not to say that there was no fight at the beginning. But that was before all of the healing, fireballs, and shifters came into play. As far as Honor was concerned, she was being abducted by some rando and she did what needed doing to get herself out of the situations. Of course, being a mortal going against an immortal, it didn’t work. But I have to give her an A for effort.

Because Sam and Garrett have been running with Bear and his motorcycle club in shifter nation, this was a nice trip back to that territory. The way Honor ended up interacting with the bear shifters was so much fun and really cute. And just like Bear and Sam, I’m getting fed up with Garrett and his reckless ways.

In this story, Hope has now had her 18th birthday. That doesn’t stop the adults around her from being overprotective…with good reason. Pax is back in her life and I feel for the kid (now adult). He loves and wants to protect Hope, but he’s caught up with some immortals that may not have the same agenda as he does. Not that they don’t all want what’s best for the Realm, but as an outsider looking in, I know it’s not going to end well for them. All the while, Paxton is getting caught up with them more and more. Meanwhile, Drake is even more delusional with each book. It’s truly like a religious zealot, going all in on Ulric and what Drake thinks he represents. Not even looking into the possibility that the intentions of those around him may not be as magnanimous as his own. Blindly following a religious icon that none of them have ever met. Believing the worst of the Realm and all those who don’t agree with what the Kurjans are doing instead of trying to look at the problem from all sides. And naïve Hope is still so unswerving in her trust in Drake.

I’m so glad Garrett’s book is next. He makes some comments in this story about when he finds his mate that had me laughing and shaking my head at him. The mighty words these immortal warriors always spew before they find their mates and take the even mightier fall.

This is an amazing Dark Protector's romance! I liked it a lot! It is filled with danger and suspense... and plenty of spice and steam..

Sam and Honor heat up the pages in more ways than one, and I loved their story!

Sam is not a member of the Seven, but his destiny has been tied to them for years as we learn in this book. Now he is being randomly pulled through dimensions and setting things on fire for reasons he cannot explain, and one incident lands him in the custody of Homeland Security. Enter Honor as a consultant thanks to her Enhanced abilities which she doesn't understand, but she tries to make good use of them. Sam is intrigued against his will, and sparks literally fly when they touch... but that is not necessarily a good thing thanks to his fire problem.

Like any rationale human, Honor has a very difficult time believing that Sam is sane when things happen that expose her to the immortal world. Bear hastens that process along in an amusing way to say the least, and she accepts her new reality just in time for the Kurjans to cause trouble.

Sam knows his future may be limited, but Honor makes him wish for more. Their connection is undeniable, and she reads him better than anyone else in his life. He may be a bit quieter and more even tempered than most of the other Dark Protector heroes, but make no mistake: he is still an alpha, a protector, and his intensity seriously ramps up when it counts! I loved seeing more of Bear and Nessa as well as a little advancement of the Hope/Drake/Pax storyline as time continues to march toward that big reckoning with Ulric. All in all, Immortal's Honor is another fantastic addition to the series and I cannot wait to see what comes next!
