I hadn't heard of Mallory prior to requesting this book, however I try to read at least one non-fiction book a month and the description sounded like there would be something I could gain from reading this one. I liked that this book felt more like just a conversation with a friend than somebody telling me I needed to do this, that, and the other in order to have a good life. This book gave practical advice anyone could implement in their lives to improve and better themselves. I'll be adding her podcast to my walk playlist now!

When I began reading Mallory's book, it immediately had a different feel to it. Something that I don't think I quite realized until I was a little more than halfway through the book. This book is like sitting down with a good friend and having a conversation. But it's more specific than that. It's sitting with an old friend, one who is wise and light-hearted. Full of Joy and so authentic. You're sitting at her kitchen island while she bakes a cake and you two talk about life in the grandest way: by focusing on the small things.
Now when I say baking a cake, I'm referring to the book as the cake. And this isn't just a Betty Crocker box cake mix. No, this cake is made from scratch. With life lessons, nuggets of wisdom, unwavering faith in the Lord, and stories from generations of Ervins folded in. A family recipe if you will. Yet, this isn't a 3 tiered over the top cake with fondant. This is a rustic, comfortable cake. One you'd request on your birthday from a mother that made it with love.
I realized a little more than 75% of the way through that I had highlighted about half of the book. There are so many stories, analogies, references, life lessons, ah-ha moments, and more that are undeniably relatable no matter what walk of life you come from.
This isn't a book you read once. This is a book you read every year, and you annotate and get something new from it every time you read it. This is a book you read when you begin your business plan for the next year, or set goals for a new season, or just need a pick me up to get back on track. This is a handbook to living fully, not just an autobiography.
There are tons of "self-help" books you can read. And a lot of them will leave you feeling inspired, but unless you act on that inspiration in your day-to-day life, you'll go right back to your old ways. Mallory's book is a guide, an intimate look at how and what she has implemented in her life. Not just instructions on how you should do it, but real leadership through examples, failures, successes, and faithfulness.
Mallory is a real leader, her writing is genuine and easy to read in the best way.
And really, at the end of it all, we have to thank Mallory for writing this book. This is a John Wooden level of knowledge that she has given us. Someone, as a generation, we should be proud of to represent and lead us. And not necessarily leading us all to big wins every single day, but little wins, in being present in the most intimate parts of our lives. Leading us to Living Fully and Living Faithfully.

While I have been a huge fan of Mallory’s for many years, you do not need to be one to absolutely love this book. If I had to describe the book in one phrase I would say eye opening. She is real and raw- like an old friend. Mallory’s story is an inspirational journey that the reader is immediately captured. No matter what phase of life you are in, there is something everyone can relate to in Living Fully.

I felt as though Mallory was speaking directly to me in this book. Through her vulnerable stories of loss, spirals, and redemption, I saw where I needed to fight in my life in order to live a full life. I especially loved how this book is not a "fix all" method to a happy life, rather, life is a journey and we must be aware of voices and other worldly things that try to interfere with living fully. You don't have to be a millionaire to live a full life, you are capable of living that life RIGHT NOW. Through intentionality and joy we are all capable of being the best versions of ourselves.

This book is incredible! I could not put it down. Mallory is so down-to-earth and relatable; I loved reading her stories and learning more about her life. I could relate to her on nearly every page, and I found myself often nodding in agreement with her experiences.

Mallory has so much to share with the world, and I am so thankful that I got to read her book earlier than most!

This book is life changing! I didn’t know I needed this until I read it. I could not put it down and would read hours into the night after my toddler went to sleep. Mallory is the sweetest and most real influencer I follow! She is genuine and you can feel her joy through a screen. I would have never known that she struggled through some serious dark times and came out a better version of herself. There is something in this book for everyone! I highly recommend you read this even if you don’t think you need it! It’s so raw and real! Order this books right away!!!!!

Where should I start? I got an early release of Mallorys book and was so excited to read it bc you can not help but love Mallory. BUT, if you are reading this review and have no idea who Mallory is......GET THIS BOOK. I was expecting a story about her life, and yes, you get that, but it is woven with so many life lessons that anyone who reads this book will take something away they can apply to their life. For instance, she mentions about "Don't let your blessings become a burden" and talks about balance in your life. She not only talks about it but tells you how she try's to have balance in her life. "Balance is really never mastered on a grand scale in our lives. It is mastered in the details. In the daily choices. Choosing to correctly label and then fiercely protect the things we value most is how we do it." There is so much life information in here but it's more than a life help book. You learn about her family, how they were brought up but what stood out to me is the life lessons she learned from her grandfather and dad. I love listening to older people and learning how they lived life. We can all learn from each other, wether younger or older, if we stop and listen. The chapter that made me cry was about her nephew who passed away and how her family, especially her sister and brother-in-law, lived through that. Let me just say, we all want to be loved how her brother-in-law loved her sister through that! I highly recommend you read this book and apply something you read to your life. I think you will be blessed from it.

You don’t have to be a huge pre-fan of Mallory to absolutely love this book, but you’ll certainly be the biggest fan after. Have you ever had a refreshing conversation with a friend and walked away thinking, “wow that was exactly what I needed”? Well, this is that in book form. This book is filled with the inspirational chats you needed, “aha” moments you didn’t know you needed and transformational messages that will send you straight towards your life’s reset button. I picked up this book not knowing what to expect and finished it fully rejuvenated, grateful and ready to ensure I am living every day to the fullest.

This book is life altering. I have followed Mallory for years. Not just because I like her recommendations but moreso because of her attitude and energy - I remember being pregnant at the same time with our first boys and she just handled the ups and downs of expecting with humility, humor, and grace and since then her spirit has inspired me. This book gave me the words to see what it is about her I find inspiring AND ways to achieve the same level of vibrancy and authenticity in my own life. My best friend read it at the same time as me and we just both felt we grew so much in the process of reading this book.

This was a book about how sometimes life doesn't go as we imagined it would, but along the way we can still learn and grow and decide to become our best self and live our most vibrant life. A lot of what is written about in this book is Mallory Ervin's personal experiences and how they shaped her to be who she is today. While this certainly isn't everyone's story, it is one that people can turn to when they are at their lowest and know there is a way forward.

I received an ARC from the publisher but this review reflects my own opinion.

I have been excited for Mallory’s book and got a chance to read it early. Coming from someone who is not typically a reader, Living Fully has kept me engaged and wanting more! There are so many life lessons in this book and it is beautifully written.

Mallory’s rawness makes this book one of a kind, it isn’t a “look how amazing my life is” kind of book, is realistic and bold, Mallory keeps being true and real to herself in so many ways, I love that it isn’t an influencer book but more of a friend telling you a story kind of narrative and I absolutely love it.
This book has blown me away, it’s super relatable in so many ways and it will also sucks you into Mallory’s story like if you were going through all of it with her. Anyone that wants a feel good book with a side of reality check should definitely check this out.. It is an auto-help book but with the feeling of you talking to your best friend kind of way, that os what makes it so special, all the stories and the close way of expressing herself that Mallory has. Overall I’ll be getting this book for the important people of my life because I want them to feel as good as I did when I read it. .

This is not your typical self-help book. It is much more. I truly “felt” this book so many times. When she wrote of her grandparents, there were so many similarities to my own grandparents and our relationship. Mallory describes challenges she faced and a great loss in her life as well as how her family rose from the ashes with their strong faith. This book is not only so inspiring, but also relatable. The lives of influencers sometimes seems perfect but Mallory is 100% real, raw and honest in this book. If you only read one book for the rest of your life, make it this one.

Honestly, this book was hard to get into. You may love it if you are a fan of Mallory, but I had never heard of her before reading this book. I felt she talked so much about her and did not have much actual advice to share. What she shared was so common that it didn't feel special or unique.

Mallory has given the public a glimpse into her very private struggle with addiction and pulling herself out a dark place. I appreciate her candor and honesty about her struggle and how she hit rock bottom. The last section of the book when she discusses how the reader can use all of their life experiences, missteps, regrets and negativity as "information for reformation" I think anyone who is need of a light uplifting read will benefit from reading this book!

This book gave some more insight into the author’s life but the messages seemed like the diametrical opposite to what followers see on Mallory’s instagram. The writing was good, but the lessons in the book about living fully with what’s most important and letting go of attachments just did not match up with what I’ve seen for the past 5-6 years on YouTube, Instagram, etc.

Do you ever think that sometimes books find you at exactly the right time and season of your life? I do, and I think that’s exactly what @malloryervin’s book, Living Fully, did.

I’ve loved Mallory ever since seeing her on The Amazing Race. I’ve since come to love following her and her family on Instagram.

This season of life has been one big test after another. It’s come with feelings of anxiousness, not being enough, fear of failure, you name it and I’ve probably felt it. I am proud to say though that I’m taking steps to do what I can to help with my mental health, but it’s not always easy and can take a lot of work. I’m also very thankful for the support I have from family.

But that’s exactly why this book came at just the right time. Mallory talks about her life and how she struggled with the need to always be the best, the pressure she put on herself, and a lot of the similar things I felt. What makes this so much better than someone just telling their story, is that she tells her story and how she’s shifted her thoughts, actions, and perspective. She now lives everyday as fully as possible because she is able to find the joy within, and shows you that you don’t have to have a million followers or the perfect life to do so yourself.

I love when Mallory calls something a hero piece, when her husband Kyle makes the funniest jokes, how she makes a recipe out of what literally seems like nothing, how her life she shares is just that the life they’ve created for themselves, not for the people they show it to on social media. She talks a lot about this in the book and it was so nice to hear this perspective!

Thank you so so much to Convergent Books, @netgalley, and @malloryervin for this ARC and allowing me to be apart of this launch team! This one is out in February but you can preorder it now! 💕

Need a wake up call? This is the perfect book! Locked into the beginning chapters and have already learned so much about digging deeper into a true life map for myself! No matter what place you are at in your life, these words will help direct you to find deeper meaning into living fully!

This is a great read for anyone who is looking for a way to change their lives. Mallory helps motivate others to find their true passions. She uses example from her life and experiences to express lessons she's learned and she works to generalize those for others to apply them in their own lives. I enjoyed what I read and think so many people will love this book!

A bit repetitive in sections. Had a weird flow to it. I'm not always a huge fan of memoirs so that might be the reason.
