Artists is a great book to introduce little ones to great artists like Andy Warhol and Frida Kahlo. The book covers a variety of artists and mediums. I do wish there was more information, but given that it's geared towards young young children, it's understandable why there isn't.

Artists is a great way to introduce children to different artists and their art in very general terms, from Andy Warhol to Frieda Kahlo. As a board book, it’s just enough to familiarize children with the names of the artists and broad ideas about their art and ideas, and a perfect stepping-stone to learning more. The art is the perfect compliment, not only illustrating the artist themselves, but giving a suggestion of their style. This would be the perfect addition to the bookshelves in any home or classroom.

I’m grateful to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group/Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the opportunity to read and review Artists./

Artists is written by the same author of the fantastic ‘little people, big dreams’ series. I love how in this particular book she introduces multiple artists to inspire children. There is also a wide range of art mediums covered as well.

The sum of the books about artists published by the author. Having read most of them, this book can be an inspiration for kids who love art. What can they be, how people struggle to be the artist they want to be, and how rewarding to pursue your dreams.

This is an inspiring children’s book . It gives brief information on great artists of our time . Enough to peak ones interest so the child can learn more if they want to . It encourages a young one that they can be anything they choose .

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Artists is a fantastic small edition to the Little People Big Dreams series and features some really inspirational artists for children. Each two page spread features a different artist such as Andy Warhol, Coco Chanel and Vivienne Westwood to name but a few.
This book is perfect for creative little minds and I loved the beginning sentence of the book so much!
This book shows children how artists can be so different from each other and many different types of art that can be made.
The illustrations are lovely and capture the eye of the reader. Another amazing book to add to this amazing series collection of inspirational people for children.

A board book with introductions to artists of many types: Andy Warhol, Frida Kablo, Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Coco Chanel, Louise Bourgeois, David Bowie, and Vivienne Westwood. Great for young children. I like that the illustration style changes with each artist.

Absolutely fabulous and inspiring book, especially for those children who have already read the artists series of the Little People Big Dreams books. I can't wait to read this with my 6-year-old to hear what kind of artist she aspires to be!

Cute super quick book. Not a lot of information but visually interesting. I read this with my son so we looked up the artists mentioned to see their art. I wish the book had more information on the artists.

I had heard of some of these artists but not all. I thought the illustrations did a good job of helping the reader understand the type of art.

Written with co-author Lisbeth Kaiser, this simple book explores the theme of What Is Art. Different designers, painters, performance artists, and more are introduced in a way that encourages independent study. Excellent!
The illustrations are eye-catching and very well done. The language of the text is suitable for reading with young people and excellent for ESL.
I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

“Artists” from the Little People, Big Dreams series is sure to be a favorite for all who have a heart for art. This sweet little board book introduces our very youngest readers to different artists who are known in history to rock and roll, paint, fashion design and so many more careers in the field! The drawing, the short text… everything was perfect for small children.

But I felt like it was way too short and had not that much information.

Still, I liked it. Probably gonna buy this book for the children around me.

This is an all-new board book primer from the multimillion-copy best-selling Little People, BIG DREAMS series, which provides children with informative and inspirational biographies about people who left a mark on this earth, no matter what difficulties they have encountered. I think these are a very smart and wonderful way to introduce little children to such important figures.
Can't wait to dive into this new Artists series!!

The first page opens with the famous soup cans all around that Andy Warhol is so known for painting. It starts with, Hello Little Artists. Yes, those can be some pretty special words for creative young minds dreaming of a future where art will fill their lives, too.

A great selection of artists is picked including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Freida Kahlo, Coco Chanel, and Pablo Picasso. The message is that there are many different ways to be an artist and artists express themselves differently. This is an important message for children. Some will grow up and become the next sensation. Some will just love art for the beauty it brings to the world. That this is open to young minds is what is important.

The pictures in this book were especially eye catching and made the book that much more unique. So, Lisbeth Kaiser has done a wonderful job.

If you love this series, do recommend it to your school and library to have for children. It allows them to be themselves and imagine where that can take them. Beautiful Book.

Thank you NetGalley, Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara, and Frances Lincoln Children’s Books for an ARC of this book. I always love to see the newest one come out. This is a fantastic series.

This adorable book encourages children to imagine that they could be an artist like Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Frida Kahlo Vivienne Westwood and/or many others. For each there is a brief comment about the kind of work that they were known for. illustrations perfectly pay homage to each artist mentioned.

This book would make a good addition to a child’s library shelves. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Pros: I have found myself requesting so many books from Quatro Publishing Group because the covers always catch my eye. Even though they are children's books, I'm drawn to the subjects of the books because they are educational--I always end up doing additional research on the people featured in the books. This book inspired me to research Louise Bourgeois, whose work was new to me!

I was encouraged by looking at the cover that this would be a diverse group of artists.. When I read children's books, I study the illustrations to see if any child reading the book could see himself/herself/themself in the people in the illustrations, and I think this book is wonderfully inclusive. Not only were the artists diverse, the types of art included in this book were diverse, which gives children so many areas to explore.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that I wish the book were longer! However, I'll look at this as an opportunity for more books.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the opportunity to read this book.

LOVE this! This is a broad survey of various artists, introducing the very youngest readers to several different styles of art. Each artist has their own page illustrated in the style of their art. Along with their name, a basic fact is shared about the type of art they made or the impact their contributions had.

This is the perfect springboard to inspire young kids and show them the possibilities in various types of art. It would be an excellent addition to school, classroom, and personal libraries for toddlers - early elementary.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
