The first book in this series left a lot to be desired. However, Hunter was one of the secondary characters that intrigued me enough to want to continue reading this series. And I’m happy to say it was worth it. Hunter and Alice have a chemistry that I felt was missing with Bane and Ryan. They both have issues they are struggling to overcome, but it didn’t feel as if they were going in circles through them. While there’s not as much action in this book as in the previous one, I felt like I had a much better understanding of the main characters’ backstories. I’m glad I didn’t give up on the series after book one, and I’m still looking forward to more of the secondary character’s stories.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was steamy, snarky and funny. It held my interest and I didn't want to put it down. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is #2 in the Vampire Motorcycle Club series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as others by this author.

Hunters Hope features a newly made hunter who can't resist the smell of Alice, a paranormal who can communicate with animals and ghosts. I enjoyed that there was some diversity in the background of the characters.

The author teased a connection from early on but readers were allowed to really learn about Hunter and Alice before the insta-love kicked in which was commendable.

Where there are vampires, there is always an arch-nemesis not too far away and, this book was no different. The enmity really didn't strike me as anything particularly unique but I liked the solidarity of the characters as they banded together. I also found the story took quite a while before things started heating up and I had to pause a few times and walk away before picking it back up.

Overall, I enjoyed the sizzling romance between Hunter and Alice and Alice's cooky free spirit approach. Hunter's Hope is a pleasant paranormal romance that will have you laughing with their antics.

Many thanks to Entangled and Netgalley for the arc.

My goodness, do I love a good vampire book. This was hot, sexy, fun. Hunter and Alice are an opposites attract couple. Hunter is serious, newly turned vamp wrestling with this new status. Alice is quirky. She works at an animal rescue and talks to ghosts. I love the balance of serious and fun in this series. Really looking forward to the next book.

I did not read the first book in this series, Hunter's Hope caught my eye. It says it can be read as a stand alone, but for me I think I would have enjoyed it more had I read the first.

Although the story overall was pretty good and I enjoyed the interaction between Hunter (a new vampire) and Alice (ghost whisperer) I realized that perhaps paranormal romance is just not the genre for me.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and author gor the opportunity to read and review this book.

This is the second of the series but it really could be read as a standalone. This story captivated me from the beginning and I just couldn’t quit flipping the pages on my Kindle. Hunter and Alice have this undeniable chemistry between the two of them but they resist in the face of the bad guys. Hunter is a fire fighter but he recently has been turned into a vampire and Alice is a ghost whisperer that runs an animal shelter. Once done battling their foe can they be together?

Newly turned vampire Hunter Evans is trying hard to adapt to the changes in his life. As a firefighter, he used to be the one helping to keep people from danger. Now he's the danger. His new found family, members of the Vampire MC, is patient in trying to teach him what he needs to learn, but all he sees is the monster he's become. Then he rescues a human woman's pet racoon.

Alice Darlington his living a lie. On the run from people who would use her for her own unique talents, she is just trying to take care of the animals at her shelter and stay under the radar. Meeting a vampire isn't something she anticipated. Hunter is completely enchanted with Alice. With her, he feels almost human again. But Alice has secrets she's afraid to share. She isn't sure it's safe to get close to Hunter, even if he is a vampire. Someone wants her, and they don't care who they have to kill to get her. Now Hunter and the Vampire MC find themselves fighting an old enemy to protect Alice and to settle an old score.

. I really liked Ms. Day's Warriors of Poseidon series., so I picked up Bane's Choice, the first book in the series, because, well, vampires. It shares the fast paced writing, and witty sarcastic dialogue of the Warriors of Poseidon stories. As with Bane's Choice, the story doesn't take itself too seriously. The characters always have a quick come back or sarcastic remark to break up the tension and suspense, Fans of Lyndsay Sands' Argeneau series will enjoy this new take on the vampire romance. This series is going straight to my keeper shelf so I can revisit the fun.

Newly turned vampire, Hunter Evan, is training with his brother Luke when he stumbles across Alice Darlington and her raccoon in a downtown hotel. Animal Rescue Shelter owner Alice is a ghost whisperer of sorts and mistakes Hunter for one. She dismisses him until Wednesday between 10 and 2, her ghost assisting hours. He immediately decides he must know Alice better and puts all his efforts convincing her of his charms. However, Alice has a few secrets along with someone trying to capture her, which makes things more complicated for Hunter and his vampire family.

Hunter’s Hope is the second in the Vampire Motorcycle Club series, and would be best read after the first one, Bane’s Choice. As a new vampire, Hunter is filled with self-doubt and anxiety, but Alice brings out the best in him and their chemistry is wild. Action packed, fast moving and full of sass, I enjoyed this great paranormal read.

Hunter's Hope by Alyssa Day is the second book in the Vampire Motorcycle Club series and another action-packed and exhilarating read. A well-written storyline with suspense, danger, and characters whose intense attraction puts their hearts in as much peril as their lives. Hunter and Alice are strong and engaging characters, but they will need to battle their carnal urges to ensure their survival against a unforgiving foe. Hunter's Hope is a fast-paced story and a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining read.

Even if I thoroughly enjoyed it I found it a bit slow at the beginning and it took some time before the action started.
That said I was happy to read a new story in this paranormal series.
The romance is sweet, there's plenty of humour and the world building intersting.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Hunter's Hope is the second book in the Vampire Motorcycle Club by Alyssa Day. While the whole paranormal motorcycle club is has exactly new Ms. Day brings her unique twist to this story. First Hunter Evans is the ultimate good firefighter hero who dies while he is doing his best to help another. You can imagine his confusion and determination to be better than man who are turned. Then Alice Darlington also has her secret ability too. That is the ability to see ghosts. Again this is not a new paranormal concept but one that is expanded on in the wonderful Day way. Together they fight to combat the darkness coming for Alice. Romance soon follows.

These characters are complex, changing even as the story progresses. There is much growth in the individual character as well as their relationship. The plot is also complex keeping the reader on their toes as the take this journey with Hunter and Alice. An entertaining story from beginning to end.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hunter's Hope is the second book in a series, but can be read as a standalone. I don't recommend reading it that way, as there is quite a bit of backstory in the first book, Bane's Choice, that applies to the characters in this book. I really enjoy this series, but if you are very into motorcycles and motorcycle clubs, the specific world building for both really doesn't reflect modern reality at all, so this series might not be for you. Also, there is very little about the MC or even anybody riding in this one, unlike in the first book

Ms. Day writes in an easy to read (easy to devour!), fun romance with a HFN ending. There are so many laugh out loud moments, some of which involve a racoon and a demon dragon that decides he should be a golden retriever. There is plenty of drama and danger as the Council chases after our heroine, Alice. The man who helps Alice rescue herself is our favorite firefighter from Bane's Choice, Luke Callhoun. Luke's new identity is Hunter Evans, since it's hard to explain to his friends that he's not really dead.. Hunter and Alice have a rollicking ride as they keep Alice's animal shelter running while fighting bad guys.

Love this series of humorous, PNR characters
We have vampires, werewolves, demons, an angel and in this book, a “ghost whisperer” who mistakenly thinks Hunter is a ghost in a casual meeting which is the beginning of something angsty but beautiful. Love it when the H and h help each other see their own worth.

Hunter is a newly turned vampire who still sees himself as a monster. When he runs into Alice chasing a raccoon which has run into an elevator, there are sparks but he’s afraid because she’s human and again, he’s a newly minted “monster.” Alice can’t help but notice the attraction but he’s a ghost albeit a very handsome, sturdy ghost...he’s still dead. Or so she thinks until he shows up again at her house. She has a history that keeps her away from people and now he has a future that appears to be doing the same. Can Hunter make it work? Alice also has bad people out to find her. Can Hunter be the hero he’s always been and keep Alice safe?

This book is so very funny, told in dual POV, which happens so quickly sometimes that you have to double back to realize which person is speaking. But that is my only criticism. I read the first book in this series, “Bane’s Choice” by Ms. Day and loved it. I can’t wait to see which couple she picks on next. It could be Edge and Meara or Carter and Max. Either story will be great based on this one and the last. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled/NetGalley and highly recommend it for readers of humorous, passionate paranormal romance.

Newly turned but no less deadly. Hunter's understanding of vampires is limited to what he has experienced (very little), what his imagination tells him (not always correct) and what he has learned from his family. When Alice enters his life, he becomes the deadly predator he wants to live up to. But will her presence tip him too far the other way? Will she inspire his more protective side or bring out the evil within?

Will he let his fears come between them …

While the first book’s opening had me a bit confused, with this one, I knew instantly where I was going.
Of course I was curious in the previous installment about Hunter, as he struggled to cope with his new reality.
So here we are, only three weeks after the end of Bane’s story. Despite knowing what to expect when he accepted to be turned into a vampire, Hunter fears his inner beast, scared to switch into monster mode and becoming his worst nightmare.
Still, he has examples all around him that none of his new new family is such creature, he is in fact more fighting with his past pain and inner fears.
Alice is like a butterfly just out of its chrysalid, everything is a new experience, a new challenge, and she still has her innocence intact despite the horrors she faced and walking alongside ghosts is just her daily life. She did not turn bitter as many abused people, she instead focused on helping others, any unfortunate being.
So it is soon understandable she is the light to his shadows, she soothes the wild side of him but will it be enough when threats from her past target them all.

A lovely and fun continuation in this series, with actions, steam, fun side characters and some unconventional pets.

Definitely felt like a mix between Vampire Diaries and Twilight! That’s what kept pulling me in further and further. I kept wanting more steamy moments between Hunter and Alice. The book had a lot of POV which is fine but harder to keep up with. Book number one is Bane's Choice, definitely can tell a third is in the making.

Hunter is having a hard time dealing with the whole being a vampire thing when he meets Alice. For the first time since he was turned, he felt peace. He had to get closer but he didn't want to scare her. Alice has had a very hard life and is trying to stay under the radar so the people at the facility she was being held captive in, won't find her again. When Hunter notices her, that puts her on the radar of another group of bad guys. She can see and talk to ghosts which makes her feel like a freak. She has never had friends before and when Hunter decides he can't let her go, he comes with a bunch of friends. Life should be good, right? Alice owns an animal rescue and rescues what she thinks is a dog. It turns out to be a minor demon. In a space of a few hours, her life is turned upside down. She didn't know there were really vampires and now she knows about demons, werewolves and angel. How can she handle all of that in such a short time? How can she convince Hunter that he isn't a monster? Can Hunter keep her safe?

This book was just too "all over the place" for my liking. I like my vampire romances a bit grittier, I suppose, and this felt really chaotic and goofy. While I appreciated a lot of the humor, I felt it was too much and overshadowed the relationship building. There was also a lot of questions left unanswered, and too many things told rather than shown. I didn't get the insta-lust Hunter had for Alice, seemed really odd to me, and while I thought she was a fun, quirky character, she had a really confusing backstory that didn't make a lot of sense. I felt lost reading this book, so at the end of the day, I just didn't enjoy it. Obviously I'm very much in the minority with my review, so I will probably try this author again perhaps with a different series.
