This is a quick and fun read with plenty of action and memorable characters that can easily be enjoyed as a standalone novel or as part of the detailed and wonderfully complex world that Day is a genius at creating.
Hunter and Alice are a fun couple who are perfect complements to each other. They each have their baggage to deal with, yet it works out that they're perfect for helping each other bear their burdens. The interactions between them and when they're joined by the rest of the cast are always memorable and entertaining, and the romance level is high without getting saccharine.
I only have 2 minor points to complain about. First, so much building up to the big bad left me feeling like the ending could have had a bit more happening. I can't go into specifics without going into spoiler territory, but it's practically blink and you'll miss it. Second, I have so many questions about things that happened in this book that would have been good to get explanations for even though I understand leaving things up in the air for the next book is a given.

Happy thanks to NetGalley and Entangled: Amara for the early read!

I really enjoyed this slightly different approach to an MC romance with a huge paranormal twist. This follows on from Banes Choice and we start to unravel the mysteries surrounding some of the Vampires who are quietly in their own way protecting Savannah.
Hunter is a newly turned Vampire of just a few weeks so I guess technically he could be considered a baby Vampire ! He is still coming to terms with his new reality and a lot of this book features his self loathing and revulsion but happily done in a way that doesn't feel depressing. The reason for that is Alice who Hunter feels connected to from the first moment he meets her. Alice has her own dark history but is doing her best to help local unloved animals. Also if honest Alice isn't exactly like you or me because she can see and communicate with Ghosts ! Yep Alice is particularly qualified you could say to help both the dead and in this case the undead !
This is not a hugely packed or indeed fast paced action story but instead showcases the dynamics between the Vampires who have made Hunter one of their own. Yes its a romance which was sweet although perhaps some would find the use of the virgin trope annoying but I didn't mind particularly as Alice's self imposed abstinence did make sense. If blunt I would have liked more of the bad guys but as I said I did thoroughly enjoy reading about the Vampires and indeed the Werewolves who feature so for this reader this was an enjoyable escape from reality.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I've enjoyed Alyssa Day Novels in the past, particularly her holiday inspired novels and her Atlantis series, so it was no chore to check out her Vampire Motorcycle club series! I haven't read book one in this series which features a 300 year old vamp and his Nephilim lady, but from what I can tell, it's not specifically needed to read the latest installment.

Hunter is a newly turned vampire who has spent his life helping people as a firefighter, after his turning, he has to learn how to keep his urges at bay. While it was refreshing to see a new vampire struggling with his new life, I couldn't fully get invested in his "nice guy" ways. It felt like he was either trying not to feed on his love interest, or haphazardly trying to determine if she liked him.

His turned family was a hoot though, I love Meara, her book is definitely going on my reading list when it comes out. And little Charlie was a heart-breaking joy to read, especially for a minor demon!

Alice, the object of Hunter's desire and appetite, was a fun character who had office hours for the ghosts she could see and talk to which was super interesting. I feel like we only got a sneak peek of her abilities so that should be fun in future books. I guess that's why she recovered quickly at learning that vampires, werewolves, angels and demons were real - but it was still abrupt seeing her jump into a supernatural volleyball game.

Overall, it was a little too campy for me, I like my vampire novels with a little more edge and mystery and less "Hey we're vampires, isn't that silly?". That said, I love Alyssa's other books and I can't wait to read Meara and Edge's story. They have that angst that I was hoping for between Hunter and Alice.

So while I wouldn't read this one again, I'll definitely be waiting for the third in the series!

My opinion is my own and freely given.

Full of paranormal beings, humor, and a love for animals.

Hunter Evans is an everyday hero. He was a firefighter until the night he died, only to be reborn as a vampire. Hunter never loses that instinct to want to save others. Even though he now thirsts for blood, he refuses to give in to hurting others to get it, even when that thirst wants to over take him. Hunter is sweet and adorably cute in learning to be a new vampire. He's full of questions and while he's grateful for another chance at life, he also struggles with the morality of it all. The person who helps him with it all isn't another vampire, but a ghost whisperer named, Alice.

Alice Darlington originally mistakes Hunter for a ghost when she firsts meets him, given his recently dead status. She has a gift for talking to ghosts and animals, which is why her first job is running an animal shelter and she only takes appointments for handling ghost problems. So when Hunter comes back to see her...well it's all very cute because it's not an appointment day.

These two are adorable in their awkwardness. Hunter is not only figuring out how to be a new vampire, he's also not had a ton of dating experience since he is the nice guy who always gets friendzoned. Alice is also in the same boat with zero dating experience, so to watch them figure it out together makes this romance extra fun.

On top of the paranormal aspect, there is the continuing mystery of who is trying to kill the paranormals and with that there is a demon sent to spy on them who ends up being both comic relief and a source of comfort.

I like that these books continue to build upon each one, so while I was disappointed that Alice's powers were only scratched at the surface, I'm hoping they will be flushed out in later books, as Ryan's powers have grown more since book one and we got a lot more of the werewolves in this book as well.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 2nd in a series, but reads great as a stand alone. Heads up-this is not really an MC book-as they just ride motorcycles. I liked all the main characters in the book. Hunter, Alice. It is set in Savannah and I would have liked to learn more about that. Overall this is a fun read. It has a bit of suspense, but oh did it make me laugh. I absolutely loved Charlie, and the Pirate! 4 stars. I think that most paranormal romance readers will enjoy this read.

Hunters Hope – Alyssa Day
@NetGalley #VampireMotorcycleClub Book 2

As above this is book 2 in a series but I’m weighing in on Book 2; hopefully I can pick up what the author is putting down.

Welp. I think I’ve found a new favourite author.

This was a great read, I loved the characters and their interactions. The whole family vibe. I enjoyed the pop culture references and Alice, oh Alice! I really loved the naivety and honesty of Alice’s character. Together her and Hunter made for a really hot, spicy and funny couple.

I can’t say much more without spoilers but I’d love a ‘Charlie’ in my life although he sounds more like a Dachshund than a Golden Retriever.

I somehow loved this book so much more than the first in the series and I didn't think that was possible. This story follows Hunter who is a firefighter that almost lost his life trying to save lives, but thank goodness he's friends with the local vampires who show up in time to turn him before he dies. In the first book, Bane's Choice, we see the process of Hunter being turned and the shit show that that is, and now in Hunter's Hope he is having to deal with all the new problems of being a newly turned vampire while also trying to keep the woman of his dreams safe from the forces that be.

Like the first book, I found myself actually laughing out loud so many times. Alyssa Day throws in so many jokes and puns and cultural references that for me as a reader really immerses me into the story, almost like it could be really happening in our world. The chemistry between Hunter and Alice felt so believable and I just loved every interaction between the two.

This series as a whole is just a very enjoyable read and I will happily devour every new book that comes out in this world.

Hunter Evans was a firefighter – one of the good guys – until he was turned to a vampire after a tragic fire claimed his life. Alice Darlington has many talents – including seeing and speaking with ghosts and communicating with animals. The two become entwined when Alice’s past catches up with her and Hunter and his “family” become fascinated with her. This book has the perfect mix of danger, romance and exciting twists and turns.

This was my first experience reading a book by Alyssa Day and I absolutely loved it. I was completely drawn into Alice’s world – what a wonderful and likeable character. I won’t say anything about her past, to avoid spoilers, but I really liked this strong female character. I really enjoyed the character development for Hunter and his new vampire “family.” There’s also a special place in my heart for Charlie – a mistreated demon who originally had nefarious intentions toward Alice.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fun romance and/or new and interesting supernatural concepts. I will now be reading Book One and I can’t wait for additional books in the series.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley.

This book was a face paced and fun read with characters who are multifaceted. Hunter Evans is a recently turned campfire who is in conflict between his new vampire instincts and his home table personality. As a firefighter by trade, he definitely has the hero complex going on. So when he meets Alice the chemistry is sizzling and their circumstances throw them together.

Alice needs help after running and hiding from the Chamber. A group of warlocks who take advantage of her gifts for nefarious experiments.

I read this series out of order. I highly recommend reading in order, there was definitely more depth to the supporting characters I could tell I was missing.

Tired of the dreary news on TV? Want to be swept away into a fantasy world with a hot protective vampire? Try Hunter's Hope. When it comes to sweet romances that are fun, upbeat, and sweet, Ms. Day delivers every time. I have yet to read a story of hers that doesn't give a reader warm fuzzies. This feel-good romance is the second in the series and can be read as a standalone. If you are looking for a motorcycle club theme, this may not be the one you are looking for, because whilst the vampire rides a motorcycle, that's about it. There isn't a club in the traditional sense I read when I come across an MC book.

This story starts off with Alice fending off ghosts and mistaking Hunter as a ghost. Because... she sees dead people and he reads as "dead". With this little slip, Alice slips down the proverbial rabbit hole and finds herself in a paranormal world. A world that threatens her sanity in some ways because it conjures up bad memories of the past she escaped.

Honestly, after all the books I have read, are there any good asylums? Because they all sound like places designed to abuse those who can't protect themselves. Alice was one of those inmates and she will never return to one if she can help it. Fortunately, she is no longer all alone. Turns out, her evil stalker is aligned with those trying to destroy Hunter and his new vampire family. A vampire family that is more of a late Rockefeller philanthropic than Queen of the Damned Interview with the Vampire Council. I like Hunter's new family. They are oddballs who are deadly, dangerous, and sometimes a bit broody. Alice is the perfect one for Hunter and this family of paranormal beings.

The conflict and the romance are the drivers of this story. When it comes to the plot, it seems to be a bit thin. I tend to focus less on the worldbuilding or plot when it comes to Ms. Day's stories. Her strengths are the characters and how they interact. Even if they are awkward, the characters are still endearing. This paranormal romance is recommended to readers who want something lighter and fun to read with a sweet happily ever after.

Firefighter Hunter Evans was saved from certain death when a friend Turned him into a vampire. He's still learning to cope with all the changes and the thirst that brings. He's always been a good guy and doesn't want that to change. It's going to be more difficult than he can imagine.

Alice Darlington runs an animal rescue center. She's always been able to communicate with them and any ghosts who need her help. Her power has brought her a lot of trouble in the past. She can't avoid those who need her. Ghosts especially can be persistent.

There are evil warlocks around that will kill to possess extra powers or just to control a territory.

This is a very exciting paranormal romance filled with great characters, Vampires, Wolf shifters, ghosts an Angel and a very special little demon. Charlie is adorable. There is a lot of fun as well as bloody battles. The girls night in was especially fun. I want friends like them.

The relationships between the vampires means the series is best read in order, but each book can be enjoyed on it's own.

I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Really Great Fun.

Vampire Firefighter Biker!!

I have to say the first book in this series was not this authors best book in my opinion. This second story was so much better. I loved Hunter and Alice together and as individuals. Charlie was adorable and I’m glad he ended up being on the good side. There was lots of great character interaction that really kept this story moving along.

“Did I mention that Edge has a Ferrari?” He shot a grin over his shoulder at Edge. “And that I’ve never driven a Ferrari before? I hope the dragon is potty-trained.”

The Ghost Lady turns out to be much more than the vampires bargained for. Together they are in a fight for of there life. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long for the next book.

I had not read the first book in this series but it has been on my radar for some. When the opportunity came up to read the second book I decided to give it a go and I am glad I did. While this book can be read as a stand along I do suggest you read the first one as well.

This novel is full of vampires, werewolves, ghosts and demons and plenty of humor. The story focuses on Hunter a newly turned vampire learning to deal with his new life when he runs into Alice a ghost whisper. The story itself moves along pretty quickly with Alice being pulled into a world she didn't know existed.

The romance is pretty hot and is actually quite believable. If you enjoy Paranormal Romance with an entertaining story then this book is for you. Even better we get a new series to sink our fangs into.

Many thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for a chance to read and review this novel.

Alice changed her name after escaping a mental institution where she was held, against her will, for eight years. She moves to Savannah and rescues animals and talks to ghosts. She chases her raccoon into an elevator where she meets Hunter. Hunter was a firefighter until he runs into a burning building to save a child and dies but is Turned in to a vampire. Now he meets Alice but he is just learning to be a vampire and is afraid of hurting her. When Alice’s past catches up with her, Hunter will take down anyone that tries to hurt her.

Vampires, ghost whisperer, and wolf shifters what more do you need? I loved this story it had humor and sexiness.

This story! This world! It is so fantastic. Hunter and Alice. I loved Alice's character. I loved hearing about her rescue animals. I hope we hear about more of the animals they rescue. The volleyball scene is my favorite part. I had so much fun reading about Alice and Hunter. I can not wait to read more about the characters. Especially Meara!

Hunter is a very young vampire just trying to control his thirst. Alice sees ghosts and is trying to escape her past. After a meet-cute that will make you chuckle Hunter and Alice struggle to overcome their issues with a little help from their friends. This book had me laughing and sighing at turns and left me with a smile.

Woohoo! We got another one of my guilty pleasures, especially during this time of the year! A vampire romance novel, and if that weren't hot enough, we got a motorcycle gang element! For me, I normally stay away from books that have an angst element like this... but I just couldn't! I'm a sucker for a nice guy hero., I love a quirky heroine, and the fact that she rescued animals? I was powerless to say no!

Blurb: Hunter Evans, newly turned vampire and all around “nice guy” is barely getting the hang of things when ghost whisperer Alice Darlington knocks him flat on his ass. He’s never felt such attraction. Too bad Alice has enough going on with her animal rescue, not to mention the fact that she can see ghosts. For Hunter, he’s not prepared to go down without a fight. What happens when these too finally succumb to the passion within… especially with other worldly forces conspiring against them.

🔮Motorcycle Vampires
🔮Quirky Virgin Heroine
🔮Female Friendships
🔮Spooky Vibes
🔮Mild Angst

Guys this book was absolutely perfect for Halloween! The romance was steamy, the spooky elements hit the spot, and it was everything I could of wanted!

Watch out for this bad boy on Nov 30!

Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥
