3 for neutral, was unable to access my netgalley account for months, until today. Because of this, I was unable to see which books I needed to read. I apologize for the inconvenience and hopefully will not have any more issues in future.

Compelling and well written, this one is a sure page turner. After Susie dies, her sister Camilla reads a letter Susie left for her, with specific instructions to let Camilla in on some family secrets. When Susie returned in 1998 from a trip to the Ile St. Clair, she was not the same. Each letter, from London, to Ile St. Clair, to Devon, tells of a secret three generations old, and then reveals even more. The relationship between the sisters was an interesting one, and the path traveled by Susie will help Camilla come to terms with her own future. Recommended. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I stayed up way to late to finish this book because I couldn’t stop thinking about it! My emotions were all over the place while reading!
Camilla is the older sister of Susie, she’s always been the sensible reliable sister while Susie was the spontaneous never take anything serious sister. So Camilla is shocked when she hears Susie suddenly dies just before she was to turn 40, and she left Camilla five letters that tell her to travel overseas and visit places Susie visited during the summer of 1998, this was the trip that changed Susies life and ultimately changed her and Camilla’s relationship. Curious Camilla books her flight and Susie left strict instructions when to read the five letters each in a different location, soon Camilla eyes are opened as she follows the path her sister left her as she begins to solve the mystery, meeting the people that meant something to her sister, all while uncovering a secret that her family kept from them, one that her sister figured out that fateful summer. This book was so beautifully written the characters we perfect and I was so drawn to the story line. The book is told in two POV, current time Camilla as she follows the letters and her sister Susie in the past and she travels. Five stars!
