This was a heartwarming book set during Christmas. The characters were very real and interesting. I would have given I higher rating but found the story to get a little slow.

This was a great Christmas read. There were some things that bothered me (there are only so many times I need to hear that she likes someone's spicy scent), but overall I thought it was deeper than most Christmas novels and had a good message.

Mia is returning to Winstead Cape to bury her grandmother and refurbish the the family owned lighthouse to sell. She's working with real estate agent Will Thacker. As they are cleaning out the nooks and cranies they find an old photo that turns out to be a baby that is Grandma Ruth's 2nd daughter. With the Christmas spirit getting closer and the newly found daughter claiming the lighthouse is hers Mia and her family need to embrace the holiday love. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was a lovely book full of hope in times of despair. When Grandma Ruth dies, she leaves behind her home, and a family of very strong women who have to process the next steps. This brings them back to their old haunt, and the girls' holiday home, where they have to respond to their loss and prepare the home, the Lighthouse, for sale.

This is hard for everyone, especially Mia, who is the main protagonist. She is also trying to deal with her divorce and what her next steps are. She brings her whole self to the party, although slightly regretfully as she didn't really get to a chance to say goodbye to her grandmother in her last days. She throws herself into preparing the Lighthouse, and in doing so, the help of Will, the real estate agent. This brings new hope and new adventure as she once again becomes part of the neighbourhood, with a new project. and new friends.... back in her old haunt the Bakery.

This book is full of surprises, twists and turns, and delicious treats. I read it in 24 hours as I couldn't put it down!

Everyone needs to read it. The twist at the end is well worth the wait...

This was a cute book, but it wasn’t mind blowing.

Mia is the early stages of a divorce as she leaves New York to help her mother and sister sell their Grandmother’s beloved house and lighthouse. Mia decides to hold one last party in the house- a holiday party for her office.

A large majority of the book felt like it was spent on the party planning- causing the book to drag on and on. Some complications they run into felt so rushed and solved without much effort or explanation. Just a “poof it’s fixed” sort of thing.

I just didn’t really love it.

I was given an ARC of this story to read; but thoughts an opinions are all my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read this novel!

Overall a sweet, heartwarming holiday story, that drew me in and was relatively easy to read. Contemporary Romance is hit or miss for me, mostly because it’s generally too close to Women’s Lit, which isn’t my jam. I can appreciate the family drama and small mystery aspect of the story, but overall I’m really here for the romance. I wanted a little more heat, though when it hit, it hit pretty well. Sadly, Mia and Will were nothing extraordinary, and I got bored, mixing in other books here and there. Once I finished it was pleasant, but not memorable for years to come.

A Lighthouse Christmas is a cozy, festive and ultimately heartwarming read by Jenny Hale. When Mia returns to WIndsted Cape to sell her beloved grandmother's lighthouse and home, she is overcome with memories. A PR executive on the brink of a failing marriage, she is happy for the escape from New York but not for the enormous task of selling the lighthouse and packing up the home with her mom and sister. Realtor Will renters the picture and promises to help sell the Lighthouse by the end of December. Restoring the home together, she finds herself falling for Will, who has secrets of his own. While Mia and her family are sorting through pictures, they discover a mystery about Grandma Ruth that may change their lives forever. Can they overcome the past to embrace the future? With many seasonal and festive anecdotes, readers will enjoy this holiday book.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

Mia is used to being the one who holds the family together but it might be more than she can handle this time.
Her grandmother Ruth passed away a few months ago and Mia, her mom and her sister are getting the lighthouse ready to be sold. Nobody wants to sell the lighthouse but they can’t afford to keep it. They have to fix it up in order to make a decent amount of money on the sale because Ruth had more debts than anyone realized. So they may have inherited the lighthouse but they inherited the debt too.

Mia is separated from her husband. They work together at a successful PR agency and plan to host the PR agency’s Christmas party before announcing their divorce.

During the time spent fixing up the lighthouse, Mia meets Will who will be doing the sale. He’s freed up his schedule to help Mia and her family with every part of it.

While cleaning up the lighthouse, the family uncovers some confusing keepsakes that Grandma Ruth left behind.

Honestly, I wasn’t the least bit surprised by what Grandma Ruth’s secret was. I had guessed it after reading the book description. That said, I wouldn’t have guessed the complication and drama that it would cause Mia’s family.

I enjoyed this story, I liked the setting and it was nice and Christmassy. I loved the bakery in the book and the nice foodie details. I absolutely loved Will, he’s a very lovable character! I’m kind of ticked at Grandma Ruth though lol

I got to read an early ebook edition from NetGalley. Thanks!

Thank you for the early copy but this was not for me.
I had a hard time getting into any holiday book this year.
It was to slow and I didn't love the story.
