This is my new favorite series. All the characters work so well together. I hope this is the second in a very very long series. I love that the story overlaps from the first book. I cannot wait to see what else this author has up her sleeve.

"Boss Witch": 3 ⭐

✅ Small town romance
✅ Witch coven filled with diverse witches
✅ A forbidden romance
✅ The male characters (Gavin) shows a softer side
✅ The steamy scenes bring the house down 🔥

So, I just finished this book.
A cozy, little romantic story (with a hint of fantasy) and a male character to die for. To me, Clem and Gavin were OTP and they deserved to be together. After all, he did change for her.
Also, the sexy scenes are 🔥 detailed and you can really feel the chemistry between them.
However, I felt like the story was a bit slow paced at times and then too rushed in others? I can't really explain and felt like there was a lack of something else. I can't quite place it.

It's a very good book tho, for those who want to start reading cozy or want to start reading simple english.

This one felt rushed from the get-go. I never really caught up to the events in the story. I need to go back and read book 1 to see if my thoughts change, but I was confused through most of the story.

I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.

Since this is a sequel, you definitely should read the first one in order to make all the pieces fit together. I loved this book! So much character development and world building. It was just an overall great read.

This book was a fun read! It didn't capture my attention as much as book one, but I still enjoy this word and Aguirre's writing style!

2.5 stars

Well, I liked this one better than the first, but only marginally.

Clem was the bright spot of the previous book, so I was pretty excited to get to this one. Her inner monologue is as crunchy as I expected and I never really settled into it. Gavin seems charming, but it could just be the British thing. Together they do have some chemistry, sadly not enough to carry the story.

Plot wise, it was meh. Scenes felt repetitive and not just because of the overlap of scenes from book one. I didn’t quite get the tension build up and the conflict was easily resolved without any real magical fighting.

Overall, I was mildly intrigued to see how it ended, but did skim through this one. I don’t think I’ll be reading any more in this series.

**Huge thanks to the publisher for providing the arc free of charge**

Boss Witch is a romance novel following Clementine and Gavin. Clementine is a witch and Gavin is a witch hunter – uh oh! When the two discover their secrets, feelings of betrayal and duress are apparent.
There’s witchiness, entertaining chemistry and the danger of their future as opposition arises.
This is the second in the Fix-It Witches series. This book can be read as a stand-alone, which was my experience, but I did miss out on some of the character and story development.

The adorable witchy romance I needed right now. I like the magic system in this series, the close bond between the women in the coven, the small town charm, and the sweet yet sexy romance at the core of the story. I also liked that this tackled the issue of problematic family dynamics and positive ways to create change. I"m already looking forward to the next book!

I loved Witch Please so I was so excited to read the second book in the series. I do recommend reading the first book. I love this series and the witchy elements make it an even more enjoyable read. I can't wait for the third book to be released. If you are looking for a fun read with witchy elements, this is the book for you!

Great second book in the Fix-It series. I enjoyed the dynamic between Clementine and Gavin. And lets not forget about Benson. Can't wait to read more in this series.

This is the second book in the Fix It Witches series. I read the first one so I was very excited to read this one. I think this was a very good follow up to the first book. If you have not read the first book I would suggest reading that before reading this one. Just because I feel like you would miss a few key details. Was such a good rom com book. I also loved the small town romance vibe. I would suggest this book and the first one. I can not wait for the 3rd one to come out.

This was new to me author & I really enjoyed this book! I will def be going back to read the first one! I really love enemies to lovers. I loved that our hero and heroine were a witch hunter and a witch! It really made for an entertaining romance! This really had a lot going on as far as trope and the story! But there was also lots of heart in there too! Clem & Gavin are really perfectly matched! I don’t want to give away too much but if you love paranormal romances, enemies to lovers, and lots of banter, this is for you! I’m really looking forward to the next one!

I am really enjoying all the witch books that have come out in the last couple of years. It seems like witches are really having a moment in the literary world! This was a fun one where a witch hunter was sent to find a witch and they witch who was put in charge of distracting him. Clementine is a Boss Witch in charge and in control, of her family, her business and her emotions, so when news of a witch hunter comes to town she decides to take on the task of getting rid of him. Little does Clementine know Gavin isn't really feeling the witch hunter vibes and is happy to find a place and pretty woman to hide away from it all. But when duty comes calling will this two be able to stick out the hardships together? ALSO a plot twist I did not expect which was awesome!

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

This one didn't work for me. I just wasn't invested in the characters or the story and the writing felt clinical and didactic. I wanted to love a witchy bisexual romcom, this just wasn't the one for me.

Thanks to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for this ARC.

I love love this follow-up to Witch Please. I love a witchy rom-com and would continue to read more of these from the author.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC which I received in exchange for an honest review!

This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2022! I loved the first book in this series so I was hoping that this book would live up to my expectations. It was a really cute book and I enjoyed it a lot! I did enjoy the first book in the series way more but I think that is because I loved the couple we were following in that book. The couple in this book were good but I didn’t connect with them as much as the first couple. What I did love about this book though was getting more background to the magical world and the coven itself; plus I loved learning about the witch hunter world as well!

Boss Witch by Ann Aguirre. Pub Date: April 5th, 2022. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟. This book is the second installment in the #fixitwitches series and to be honest, I enjoyed this book way more than the first book! Clem Waterhouse is a local witch who takes on the new face in town, a witch hunter. Gavin is in town to prove his family worth as a witch hunter, but stumbles into Clem not knowing she is a witch. Clem takes on the mission of distracting Gavin, but it turns into more. I loved the chemistry, funny/goofy moments and the honesty of the characters. Gavin was a perfect character to match Clem’s dominant personality. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series! If you enjoy romance with a side of magic in multiple forms, pick up this book! Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review. #fixitwitches #bosswitch #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookworm #igreads @sourcebookscasa @ann_aguirre_author

I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the first in this witchy saga (which was a lot btw). Anne Aguirre has created another witchy read for all those who, like me, want a bit of magic in their life. A spoonful in their coffee.
I did enjoy this book, it was an easy, fun read and I finished it while on a nightshift so it definitely kept me awake. I loved the way the characters were portrayed and written in and the chemistry between them.
Can't wait for the next book.

Since I had read Witch Please already, the cover of Boss Witch certainly drew my eye on Netgalley. The covers of the Fix-it Witches definitely stand out.

After Danica’s story, we now move to her cousin Clementine. Clem has promised her coven that she would get the witch hunter out of town. As we had seen in witch Please, was that Danica’s magic had gone a little haywire, resulting in a witch hunter coming to town.

Gavin has always worked in the ‘family business’. He has been trained to be a witch hunter by his father. But lately, Gavin is having second doubts, about the necessity to hunt them and the need to strip them of their powers. He is, however, afraid to question his father about it. Because he is afraid to be marked a traitor, just like his grandfather. So, when he receives the order to check out the town of St. Clair, he obliges. Clem lately feels a bit lonely. Now that her cousin is happy with her baker, her grandmother is on suspension and her coven sisters are busy, she feels like she has to fix all the problems on her own. Like distracting the very handsome witch hunter. And how to distract him? Well… you take him out and you take him home…

Whilst getting to know each other, both Gavin and Clem feel the chemistry. But a witch hunter and a witch?! And just when Gavin is suspecting that Clem may be a witch, his world is turned upside down by a message of his grandfather.

Suspense, fun and cute! And although you can read it as a standalone, I would recommend that you read the book of Danica first. And I saw on Goodreads that in October Leanne’s story will be available in Extra Witchy. Can’t wait!

Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reader copy of this title!!

This is the second book in the Fix It Witches series and it follows Clementine, a girl who thinks more with her head than her heart until she has to divert the attentions of a witch hunter named Gavin.

This was a decent follow up to Witch, Please. I found that first book to be a tad more addictive and it had a better pace to it. I also felt like the characters in that book had more life to them whereas in this book, they all feel a little two-dimensional. Was bored halfway through and the predictability of this did not add anything to my reading experience.

Overall, it's still a fun read but it isn't anything I would reread or recommend. Maybe the third book will make up for it and bring the series back around to a four star rating.
