Boss Witch is a fantastic read. I loved this one so much. This is the second book in the Fix-It Witches series, and I am hooked. I loved this one so much. You will laugh out loud when it comes to Clem and her fellow witches. Clem works with her cousin fixing electronics and is tired of being in the middle of all the family drama. She keeps you on your toes as the witch hunter enters town. Gavin is a witch hunter who questions everything he was taught. Two opposite sides and a strong pull takes you through all the ups and downs that plagues witches and witch hunters. Gavin and Clem have such strong chemistry that heats up the pages as Clem tries her best to throw Gavin off her fellow witch's trail. I love the dynamics of this one. The family drama will make you giggle. Gavin and Clem are full of surprises. You have to read what happens when a witch falls for a witch hunter, and everything becomes real. If you love a little bit of magic, opposite attract and laugh out loud fun times than you need to one click this one now. I could not put this one down and cannot wait for more to come.

I thought this was a super fun read and I liked it better than the first book! Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC to read and review.

When Clem finds out there is a witch hunter in town, she decides that she’ll deal with it on her own. She’s the level headed witch in the coven and will do anything to keep everyone safe. Gavin doesn’t want to be a witch hunter, but he’s stuck handling this assignment because he’s following in his family’s footsteps. When he meets Clem, he’s immediately attracted to her but doesn’t know that she’s the witch he was sent to hunt.

I loved the romance between Clem and Gavin and I enjoyed how the story unfolded. It was great to see Clem and Gavin stand up to their families and make their own choices over how to live their lives. I loved the banter and chemistry between them…those spicy scenes were hot and I was really rooting for the two of them.

The writing is a little choppy and the story dragged in some spots. Overall I thought it was an enjoyable read and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, low angst, supernatural read.

Boss Witch continues the story with another of the Waterhouse witches, this time focusing on Clementine.

When a witch hunter comes to town, Clem steps up to handle things and distract the hunter from probing too closely into matters and discovering the witches of St. Claire. That said, things get complicated when both Clem and Gavin learn that they might be catching feelings for one another.

I really enjoyed getting to know Clem, especially after her cameo in the first book of the series. Serious and methodical, she’s used to things going a certain way (as intended) and is thrown when plans go off the rails. This story incorporated more magical elements and once again, did not disappoint with the steaminess.

If you’re looking to read something with paranormal/witchy elements featuring a badass, strong female main character, opposites attract, forbidden romance, with a touch of spice, then I highly recommend Boss Witch.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley & Sourcebooks Casablanca and am leaving an honest review.

What a fun book! This sequel to Witch Please follows Clem's story with Witch Hunter Gavin. This book I actually did enjoy a little more than book 1 because I loved the forbidden aspect of our MC's relationship. These books also actually have great spice and who doesn't love a sexy witch moment? I would say like book 1 I think these books are a little bit longer than they should but on audio I finished it quickly. I am excited to continue on with this series when book 3 comes out. If you love Practical Magic and all things witch I'd totally recommend this series!

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. I place partial blame on the cover of this book, I just wasn’t expecting as much plot as I got and I really loved that. Clem and Gavin were great, as were all the other witchy characters and I even enjoyed hating Clem’s father and grandma. I loved how the conflict was solved, though I guess some people will consider it too low stakes, I’m not a big fan of drama so it was perfect for me. I also loved the ending of the book. It was really cute and left me smiling like an idiot. Overall, this was the perfect witchy read. Loved it.

I"m really enjoying reading some paranormal books at the moment.

This is apparently book number 2 in a series, which of course, as usual, I was not aware of and I have not read book number 1.
There are a few bits and bobs throughout this book that allude to the previous book but not so much that it hindered my enjoyment of this one.

Clem is the level headed witch in this coven. She doesn't jump into anything without firstly weighing up the pros and cons but when Gavin comes to town, there is an immediate attraction between them.
The main problem here is that Gavin is a witch hunter and he is searching the town of St. Claire for the witch that he can sense. Clem knows what Gavin is - but he doesn't know about her.

This was a nice, quick, spicy read.

Boss Witch runs concurrently with Witch Please, and as such I found myself enjoying it less than I expet.to because I pretty much already knew a lot of the story. That said I LOVE Gavin and how his story with the Hunters turns out. I would love more Hunter stories.

Oh my gosh!! This book was such a fun read! Teenage me was a sucker for paranormal romances and even though this book was meant for adults, it brought back the same sense sense of nostalgia that the first one did!

In “Boss Witch”, we follow a couple that was introduced in the first book, Clementine and Gavin. Clementine is the serious one in the family and coven who is always taking care of others, and picking up their slack. When a witch hunter arrives and poses a threat to the coven, Clem volunteers to be the to handle him. Gavin is a former teacher who has been reluctantly follows his father’s order for as long as he remembers, though his heart is not in it. When the two meet each other, there is instant chemistry and the tension between them is scorching!

I highly enjoyed this book and I’d dare say more than the first one. I enjoyed seeing Clem and Gavin’s relationship develop through their eyes, and I’m a sucker for “enemies to lovers”, even if the enemy in question is an occupation more than anything. I will say, the meddling grandmother had me both chuckling and rolling my eyes!

I highly recommend this book if you love a world with witches and magic, and a steamy romance that between two forbidden lovers!

Thank you to NetGalley, Ann Aguirre and Sourcebooks Casablanca for approving this copy of this ARC for an honest review!

I had such a great time reading this book! I loved the first one, where we saw the start of this couple together, but it was really great to be in Clem and Gavin's perspective, watching their story unfold! It was such a great read!

The main drama in this book was the fact that Clem was a witch, and Gavin was a witch hunter. And that she knew, and went after him to protect her coven, while he didn't. I loved their dates, they were fun and delightful, and the spark between them was fantastic!

There were other things going on in this book, like the fact that her grandmother is meddling again, and both of her parents are in town, so that was eventful. And he has the pressure from his dad, and his doubts about continuing on as a witch hunter.

That reveal that we got? That had my blood boiling! Of all the hypocritical, monstrous things to do, and to have this façade up? It was so infuriating to me, and it was so satisfying to watch it all come down! I had such a great time with that, and how the book ended!

Loved reading this book, and I can't wait for the next installment! We did see the start of the next book (and have the end of it, probably, as well!)

I loved this book, even more than Witch Please! Boss Witch has romance and action, definitely something for everyone. And the moral of the story is perfect for the world we live in today: don’t judge others by stereotypes because they might not be who you are told they are.

Thanks Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for a copy of Boss Witch in return for an honest review

I previously read Witch Please on audio and enjoyed it, so I thought I’d read Boss Witch on audio as well. And I was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved this.

I adored Clem and Gavin as individual characters but also their romance. Their banter and chemistry were god-tier; I was routing for them by the end. Plus,I found myself truly relating to Clementine (like she's seriously one of my all time fave characters now).

Secondly, the sex scenes were A LOT MORE steamy and less cringey. I also loved the queer rep in this.

And the small town vibes were everything!

Overall, this was super entertaining and fun to read. I will also say this was slightly better than the first book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Clementine "Clem" Waterhouse has always been the person to take care of others and fend for herself. She did it for years as her parents went through a nasty relationship and breakup and she's currently doing it now in helping her cousin deal with her growing feelings for a mundane - much to their grandmother's chagrin.

When a witch hunter shows up in town threatening her coven, Clem volunteers to be the one to distract him away from her friends and family. But when Clem meets the hunter Gavin Rhys, she realizes that he may post more than a threat to the coven, the biggest threat may be to her heart.

Gavin has been living under his father's orders for as long as he can remember. When you are the son of the leader of the Witch Hunters, there are certain expectations that follow you. But honestly, Gavin's heart has never been in it and since meeting Clem he starts to see more than the thankless job he currently inhabits. But when her secret is revealed, it calls into question everything he's ever been taught about hunters and witches.

Overall, I liked Clem's story much more than Dannica's. I just felt like the stakes were higher and it just made for a more compelling read. I think the major draw for me was just getting a bigger and better glimpse into the world Ann Aguirre created. Getting a bit more of the history of the witches and, in this case, witch hunters was interesting. There were a few small tidbits that were maybe mentioned in passing that I'd be interested to see if they're expanded upon in the next book like the witch hunters that were introduced in the first book, but expanded upon in the second.

Honestly, I liked Clem and Gavin just fine, but I wasn't here for their romance story like I was for how things would play out between the opposing factions of witches and hunters. I also liked seeing both Gavin and Clem assert themselves within their families. How they both have dealt with varying issues with their parents (or grandparents) and how those things have had long-term effects on them. I liked seeing Gavin and Clem begin to cope and realize that they don't have to carry those issues over into their own lives.

Overall, though, I've really enjoyed this series and look forward to continuing to read about these characters and watching this world grow.

I read the first book because I got this ARC, and I wasn't that big of a fan, but i was intregued with this one. However it wasnt for me. Took me a solid month to get through.

This was such a light, fun read! I finished it in about two days. I enjoyed the character development and ties to the characters from her first book. Ann Aguirre has written another sweet story that warmed my heart.

I enjoyed this book very much, just like the first in the series (Witch, Please)! Very well written and long-anticipated. 4 to 4.25 stars for this one.

It was fun, flirty, witchy, with both parties hiding something critical from each other from the very start - the root cause of the major conflict that all rom-coms must have.

Clementine Waterhouse (Clem), runs Fix It Witches repair shop with her cousin Danica, from book 1 (from everything happening, the timelines seem to overlap). They keep wards up there, at home, and other places their coven meets and uses, to avoid detection by witch hunters. Unfortunately, one day Danica accidentally “spikes” and draws the attention of the hunters, and the council sends one to St. Claire to investigate… enter the crazy, hot guy who appears at Titus’s bakery spouting off insane stuff about witches and the like. Now hey have to misdirect him, so Clem takes on the task. She plans to befriend him at a bar, lead him on, and convince him to leave town quickly.

Simple, right? Except Gavin is not a typical hunter, and certainly a whole lot more than meets the eye! As they get to know each other and start going on dates, she worries he is going to find out the witch he is looking for is her or one of her loved ones, and he is starting to suspect that Clem is more than she seems. Also, the mouse that she gave him to be a companion doesn’t seem to be just an ordinary mouse, either.

The story goes through a lot of unexpected twists, brings in unexpected characters, and takes us to unexpected places. It keeps our attention throughout the whole book and we can’t wait to find out what (or who) happens next. It was as brilliantly written, from both characters points of view, with quite a bit of their inner thoughts on the page, characters from the first book included the whole way, new ones introduced, and I sure hope there are more in the series to come, following others in the coven - this series and her writing of these characters is too good not to have more of it!

If you’re looking for a fun and light, easy-read paranormal (witch) romcom, a little bit of steam, and enjoy Ann Aguirre’s other books, especially Witch, Please, then you should definitely pick up this one!

I received both an advance audio and arc copy of Boss Witch from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media and this is my honest feedback. Thank you!

I picked this book up as I love Ann's "Galactic Love" series and hadn't had the chance to dive into her other work yet. Her writing style in this novel continued to be just as intelligent and easy to read as I had previously experienced! If you like quaint small-town American vibes then I'm sure you'll love this. I'm from Australia and so it doesn't have the same sense of nostalgia for me as I can imagine it would for American readers. It's a cute, easy to read in a day romance novel about lovely people falling for each other and shedding their family baggage. Totally relatable for a lot of readers, I'm sure!

I loved the first book in this series and I absolutely loved the second. The relationship, the character arcs, the twist and the ending all were so well done and I enjoyed this immensely!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was very excited about this second installment. However, I got very frustrated at the herione's terrible attitude and negative inner monologue. Not only was she a major cranky pants, but it took ALL of the book for her to communicate just part of her issues. The secret of her identity as a witch was bound to come out, but when it did the resolution at the end fell flat because of a prolonged separation that seemed a little excessive. Aguirre writes in a fun and casual way that pulls you right into the book, but the characters in this one didn't do it for me.

2nd book in the Fix-It Witches series! The idea of a witch and a witch hunter had me enthralled, and while I truly enjoyed the first book, this one fell flat for a few reasons.

1) I loved the family dynamics, especially between Danica and Clementine, but they practically spend the entire time at odds in this one.

2) Clem is a crab-apple through 95% of the story, making her completely despicable.

3) Unbelievable and lengthy time jump that will make you want to scream!

I love Gavin with my whole heart! His journey for truth and justice, while trying to find out the secrets surrounding his own family tree will capture your heart and is worth the entire story.
