As a fellow aviator I had high hopes for this book, but sadly it failed to deliver.
The book feels like a collection of random thoughts all trying to sound like a poem. I found it a challenge to keep reading. If it wasn't the feel of someone trying too hard it was the lack of real story. It felt very mundane and failed to hold my attention.
I am not really sure who this book would appeal to, for sure it isn't a book for the true aviation enthusiast.
Very disappointing.

A beautifully written essence of a life well lived by a woman who became a commercial pilot out of her love of flying. As it flows along, it is poetic and heartfelt and descriptive all at once. A thing to be enjoyed and taken in. It’s moving at times, such as when she writes about grief and loss, and in other ways when she’s describing how she feels when she’s up in the skies. Advance electronic review copy was provided by NetGalley, author Brigid Johnson, and the publisher.
