This was such a fun and quick read perfect for the season. It took a really unique concept of sensing what a house wants and created an unsettling horror story from it. Quinn was an intriguing lead character for the book and I enjoyed her perspective as someone who desperately wanted to be a skeptic despite their experiences telling them differently. I enjoyed the ending of the book because it wasn't quite a happy ending. I love when horror books have a good open ended finish. It leaves you thinking about the book for a while. I only wish the book had been longer so the author could have explored the character's relationships with each more as well as their history. Also not a fan of the cover.

Thank you to Net Galley and the Publisher for providing an e-copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A unique spin on haunted houses. I quite enjoyed this entertaining and chilling read. There are some rather haunting, hair-rasing scenes. The originality really made this book shine. Some of the writing was choooy, confusing, or bogged down but a good editor can fix that.
