3.5 stars. This was a well-written story with compelling characters.
The storyline is about a single mom who is hesitant to start dating again because she feels as though her son should come first. She humors her family and friends by speed dating.
The title of this book doesn't really match the story. She does speed date but it is such a small part of the story that it felt a bit gimmicky.
I enjoyed seeing her come around to try dating her son's soccer coach who is a British hottie. It is a slow-burn but if you are looking for any action, then this isn't the story for you. It's very much on the cleaner side. The narration for this audiobook was very good.

Loved this single-parent romcom! A perfect blend of comedy, romance, and real-life situations. The grandparent's community never gets old. I have loved the arc of that place throughout this trilogy as well as the bookworm trilogy.

A light-hearted story of a young single mom feeling lonely, yet determined to do what is best for her son. Meeting a charming, handsome brit that seems just out of reach. After all of something seems to good to be true it usually is. She's been burned in the past, what's to say her heart would be safe this time.

This soccer coach is nothing if not determined and with the support of their mutual friend group he decides to do whatever it takes to get the woman he's falling for to give him a chance.

Shenanigans and adorableness ensue. Excellent narration. Perfect sequel in the Introvert series.

This was such a cute story that went by way too fast in my opinion. I loved the narrators and so I was sad when it ended. I really loved London and Oliver too, their relationship is a slow burn and it feels more authentic, I feel like I would probably take it slow too if I were a single mom. Sometimes though I just wanted them to get on it with it. 😂 It’s a good story overall and I can’t wait for the next book to come out.

I love this series however this ones wasn't my favourite. I typically don't like kids in romance however Leo wasn't bad..they didn't make him annoying, or to grown for his age. Which is good,

It took way to long for Oliver and London to finally get together. I mean it's a short book and Its still felt dragged out. I understand that London is a mom and she has to be cautious and sure before getting into a relationship but I wish they had just jumped in and seen where it went early.

A great book and series and just not my favourite trope. If you love a single mom trope this is the book for you

3.5 stars rounding up to 4. I was confused with the title as there is no discussion about any of the characters being introverts. If anything it should be titled a Single Mom’s guide to dating, as that is what is explored the most in this novel. London and Ollie made for a very cute love story and I love the realistic discussions of what it’s like for a parent to date and how they still need to protect and prioritize their child when doing so. Although I overall enjoyed it, the dialogue went cheesy whenever the characters tried to be funny, the jokes/banter did not land for me, But the romance was very sweet. No, steam here for those looking for a cute romance versus a steamy one.

The Introvert’s Guide to Speed Dating by Emma Hart is a very quick read that hits the spot just right. It is light and fun, and a great palate cleanser after reading something heavy and intense.

The characters are likable and the story is quirky and full of laughs. No angst and low conflict.

Narrators Avery Reid and Will Watt did a great job capturing the voice of the characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an Advanced Listener's Copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Introvert's Guide to Speed Dating is a fantastic read! It is lighthearted, funny, heart warming at times, and overall a very relaxing read! I rather enjoyed getting invested in the love lives of the two main characters and there is a really great arc of character development. The only reason that I am giving this 4 stars rather than 5 is because I wanted this to be much longer. I wanted MORE of the fun atmosphere. It was a fun adventure, but I wanted more gushy romance from this wonderful couple and the side cast of supporting characters. Overall, very good and I will be watching for the next one in this delightful series!

Thank you to the publisher that gave me the chance to listen to this audiobook through NetGalley; I enjoyed reading this light romance story between London and Oliver. I did find the speed dating very funny and loved the interanction of London with her son. The only flaw I see and agree with other reviews I wish this story was longer I felt the ending was rushed so I needed more of them. The narration was fantastic for every character. In general, I enjoyed it.

This book is such a fun, light read that it's sure to get your happy romance endorphins going.
There is no drama whatsoever and the little conflict there is gets resolved almost as soon as it's introduced, which makes for a fun read that doesn't ask much of the reader except a few hours of entertainment. The stakes are never high and you KNOW that the HEA is coming. I appreciated that.
My one little nitpick is that London and Oliver are both way too perfect to be real. I like my characters with at least some flaws, and the perfectly grounded London and totally rational Oliver were two obviously perfect characters meant to be together from the moment they met on the page. A silly nitpick considering one of the things I enjoyed the most about this book is the lack of drama, but even a tiny flaw would have been enough to earn this one a perfect score.
The narration was great. Avery Reid and Will Watt breathe life into the characters and emotions of the story, not to mention the saucy and witty banter.
Many happy thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the great read!

The Introvert’s Guide to Speed Dating is a fun, light, quick read that is full of steam, swoony scenes and of course, plenty of laughs.

London is a single mom to Leo, an adorable six year old boy, and she is also being forced into some interesting speed dating sessions. Oliver is Leo’s soccer coach and really the just seems to go to be true. The man is caring, handsome, patient and most of all he loves kids…there really should be something wrong with him and I don’t blame London for instantly crushing on him.

If you’re looking for a single mom, rom com this is one to check out.

This is the 2nd book in the introverts guide series. I read the last one last month through NetGalley. I didn't love the 1st way because it felt like I was coming into the story in the middle. But I wanted to keep reading this series.

I enjoyed this one a lot more. It was a super fast read and the speed dating was a funny twist onto this story London's cousins sign her up for speed dating and that means after 4 years of not dating she's back on the market. When on the last time she does it her sons hunky soccer coach is there and they start talking. Oliver loves soccer the kids he teaches and and finds London rather attractive. But can anything happen? She doesn't want to rush into anything because of her son. Especially someone he looks up to.

This was a super fast audio and I enjoyed the narration. I do wish the story was a bit longer I felt the end was rushed so instead of 4 stars it was docked for 3.5 I just wanted a bit more to the story.

Thank you NetGalley for Audiobook in exchange of my honest review.

I was provided with a copy of this audiobook by NetGalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

I found this to be a fantastic book. The characters were well developed and the relationship between Oliver and London went along at a realistic pace. I liked the development of London as a mother that put raising her young son over any kind of relationship, even if she was using him as a bit of a guard to prevent being hurt again. At first, I wasn't sure about having dual narrators for the audiobook, but as the story developed I found it to be perfect. The two narrators do an excellent job and draw out some of the humor in the telling of the story.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a sweet romance with a happy ending.

This was a quick and fun read -- kind of like speed dating, right?!

This romance novel is broken into chapters, each titled a "rule" related to speed-dating, which was cute. London, a single mom, is pushed into speed-dating by her cousin Holly. At the same time, chemistry is present with her son's soccer coach, Oliver. I liked Oliver from the start, and rooted for the couple. This is not a book that keeps you guessing, making it what I would call a lighter, fun read. This is also a great read for those looking for a love story without any steamy scenes.

If you have not read the other books in the series, it will not take away from the enjoyment of the main character's and their story.

I enjoyed this book on audio, and the narrators were both good. I was able to listen to it on 1.75 speed without a problem, which I love!

Listen to/read this if you are looking for an uplifting, quick read without steam. It will deliver.

This was a fun romance! I was really surprised by just how much I enjoyed listening to this book. London and Oliver were wonderful characters and the narrators did an amazing job in bringing this story to life. Once I started listening, I didn’t want to stop and couldn’t wait to see this pair work things out. This was a very entertaining story!

This is the second book in The Introvert’s Guide series and even though the characters may appear in other books in the series it works as a stand-alone. I liked London right away. She is the single mom of a six-year-old boy and doesn’t have a lot of time left for dating with her son, work, and taking care of the household. Oliver is a soccer, or as he would say football, coach. London’s son, Leo, is on one of his teams and he has definitely noticed London.

I really liked London and Oliver as a couple. Their relationship develops rather slowly throughout the story and it is actually a lot tamer than I expected. I really liked the way that they both put Leo first and how much fun the three had together. There really weren’t a lot of obstacles to their relationship but I had fun going along for the ride while they figured it out.

Avery Reid and Will Watt did a great job with the narration of this story. I really was especially partial to the accent that Will Watt used for Oliver. I thought that they both did a great job bringing the characters to life. I loved the emotion that they were able to show through their narration. I believe that their narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this book to others. I found this to be a fun shorter romance with characters that were easy to fall for. I definitely plan to read more of this series soon!

I received a review copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via NetGalley.

I had the opportunity to listen to The Introvert’s Guide to Speed Dating by Emma Hart early and it was such a fun listen. It had me smiling throughout the entire time I was listening. London is ready to start dating, right? So, she tries speed dating and yet the one person that really stands out is her son’s soccer coach, Oliver. I loved their interactions and how he was with her son. The story is a quick, fun, and charming and the narrators, Avery Reid and Will Watt, really brought this story to life.

Happy listening!

Single mom London is about to get roped into a speed dating event at her Aunt Jasmines bar. Her Ex, Chris cheated on her and then got moved to another town for his job. Chris was coming back to town to work and decided to try to pick up Leo, their son, for the next two weekends.

London boss pulls her into his office and asks her to put together a edition of a special paper for the sports center that Leo attends for her work at the newspaper. Can London Count on Oliver? Will Leo accept her dating?

Review: So I received this book as an audiobook from Netgally. I had not read the first book in the series, but I don't feel like you need to. I really enjoyed this book. I wish it would have been longer honestly, but if your looking for a fun fast read I would recommend picking up this book or Audiobook.

Tropes: single mom • small town • sport

My thoughts: I enjoyed the story very much. I’m not necessarily a fan of books under 200 pages, but I feel like listening to it made the character development last longer.

Both MC were relatable is so many ways. London a single mom who just want to find the right person to share her life with her son and Oliver, who wants to make roots in a new city but doesn’t have/know what would make him stay.

BUT, unfortunately the audio was not for me. I don’t know why, but the voice of the guy was weird, he sounds like a goofball with a potato in his mouth. It was hard to picture him as a hot shot soccer player.

Would recommend ? Yes, whether it’s the book or audio the story was a great short read. The audiobook comes out today!

Thank you to Negalley for my eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved being able to step back into this world, and follow the journey of one of the secondary characters in The Introvert's Guide to Online Dating that I desperately wanted to know more about. First I feel in love with the story of Tori and Colton.

Now I've fallen in love with the story of London and Oliver. And this story is a dual point of view just like the first book in this series! Which makes me happy. I love a dual point of view story. Plus the narrator for Oliver sounding British was well done and made the character feel more real since it's a part of who his character is.

London has sworn off dating for a long while, and when she finally decides to get back out there on the dating market her family and friends sign her up for speed dating session that she absolutely dreads. That is until one of her speed dates ends up being the soccer coach to her son that she has always thought was attractive.

She is given a big opportunity at work as well to cover the sports center in town that her cousins boyfriend runs, and while interviewing the staff she is able to spend time with Oliver as she interviews him. Throughout the story he comes around more and more, and does small gestures that make her all giddy. The two of them like one another so much, but keep it to themselves for a while. It's a great moment when they finally know the others feelings.

I've always loved the aspect of a parent and their child's teacher/couch having a romance brew between them. Oliver is an absolutely sweetheart when it comes to London and her son. He is honestly an absolute sweetheart all the time though. This British soccer coach really fell hard for his students mother, and she feel just as hard. I really enjoyed being able to see their journey grow, and to find out more about London. Especially about her ex/the father of her son, and what happened between them.

I was left wanting to know a bit more of how their future looks together, and to see how things progress for them. But overall this was really enjoyable and I really loved it. I never wanted the story to end. I felt the same way with the first book in this series. I could honestly read/listen to endless extremely long novels about all the characters in this series that are the main group of friends. I love them all so much.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC of the audiobook.

This is a sweet charming romance with a whole cast of likable characters, starting with London and Oliver, down to their friends and family, I love a book full of great well-developed characters. The dialogues and the issues (raising a kid after divorce) are portrayed in a relatable way and I found myself rooting for the characters. This is the second book I read in this series and I am hooked with this entire group of friends. This is a great read to go for if you need a 'cleanse' after an angsty read and the narration is spot on.

I received an audioARC in exchange for an honest review.

This wasn't love for me...It was a cute premise for a book, but things just did not pan out for me. It didn't really make me laugh - and I considered not finishing it - but I really was hoping it would get better.

I think the main basis for my issues with the book boiled down to believability and complaining (and not just complaints from me as a reader). This book is set in a small town in Montana - a former professional baseball player has created a large sports complex that truly has everything. It sounded awesome - even including professional athletes as coaches for youth programs. So cool right? Totally cool - but really - professional coaches for six year olds? and even in a large city I am not sure that something like that would be possible - let alone a small town. But then again, that small town supports a full time staff with interns for a print newspaper. I am all for creating alternate universes - but this was just a bit much for me. Then at the end - locking Ollie down to a ten-year contract. This is not a thing for a children's soccer coach. Even the head of a program.

Not to mention London's son Leo. Leo is a great kid - who does a lot of the normal complaining about things like showers and teeth brushing. But Leo did not come across as six. Maybe it is that I happen to be a parent of a 6 and eight year old - so I really know. But he seriously - other than calling London Mama - was not six. He was voluntarily reading a book at one point for goodness sake. At one point Ollie even talks about him making a career of soccer. Leo also calmly tells London that his dad e-mailed him instead of calling. He's six. Six year old children don't have e-mail that they check. Six year old's still have spelling words like Dot and Pen - they are in first grade (maybe second). Six year old's certainly are super interested in sports - but the coaching is usually handled by interested parents until it gets to a point where maybe they are on a traveling league or something. It just didn't work for me. Don't even get me started one when they make homemade pizza and toss the pizza in the air - like that is really a thing for most people making pizza at home.

So the main issue with the book however - was London. She's a devoted single mom and obviously has a big personality. But man, I think 3/4 of the book was her complaining - about her ex, her son, her family, her boss, and her job. While some of it was relatable - it just got to a point where it wasn't funny and more concering about London. She talks at one point about her small support network - and I honest stopped and listened again because I was confused. She has a huge network of people in her small town - between her family and close friends it just seemed almost laughable. I know that London was using her son as an excuse for many things - but she really had reached a point where she maybe could benefit from some therapy.

Also, while I liked her with Ollie - but I felt more chemistry between her and her ex. In fact- I thought maybe the book was going to go that way at one point and be a love triangle. That might have been more interesting. Ollie is a sweet guy -

I listened to the audiobook for this - and it was very well done - but I'll admit that may have been why some of the whiney-ness of London really came through hard for me. As a side note - there are not love scenes in this book - not even closed door ones - so if that is your cup of tea - you'll be a happy camper!

Essentially - the introverts lesson on speed dating is don't do it - and if you have to, because your family insists, make sure someone you are already interested in is also a participant.

Overall - this book just was not for me. I received it as an ARC, but these opinions are all my own.
